RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 05-03-2024 (05-03-2024, 01:54 PM)Mikaruge108 Wrote: Music (Court Jesters - Final Fantasy IX) Right, let's see if you can pull off a Stealth Summon and Take Down Attempt! Stealth Check DEX (3) + Survival (2) + Stealth (2) + *1 (They're distracted!) = 9D6 Dice (6)(1)(4) (2)(6)(5) (1)(6)(1) 4 Successes! You manage to call out your seamstress mantis without too much of a ruckus, though you almost have a mild jumpscare when they proceed to immediately hug without warning. The look of sheer adoration and bliss as they lived up to the name 'cuddle Bug' ...well, Aaron did warn you about the hitchs involving a rapidly Evolved Friendship Evo. Still, after a brief explanation she gets serious, letting you go and giving you a firm nod before creeping forward and attempted to - ! String'em Up! (5)(3)(1) (3)(6)(3) (1)(6)(1)(2) (4)2 2 Successes Chloe spews a great glob of silk at the clowny duo, and she manages to get one all gunked up and strung out in disorganized (well, more disorganized) mess! Unfortunately in her enthusiasm to please you end up screwing up her aim and area of effectiveness of the move, as the other harliqueen was completely unhindered by the Move, quickly springing up and jumping away to face your group. Silent as a grave, they tilted their head at you, their creepy masked face - a ghoulish looking smiling theater mask (Think Super Mario Key Chasers, mixed with a Redead from Zelda) - before they swept into a small bow, their long and lanky limbs making it seem both fanciful and very, very offputting. They then proceed to release a Mr. Mime and Galarian Weezing, summoning them to Fight! What will your choice of Battlers be?! RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 05-03-2024 (05-03-2024, 01:11 PM)Redstone Wrote: Alright, let's see your Plan in Action! PHASE 1 Water Pulsing Distraction 1! (6)(4)(6) (3)(3)(5)(5) ()() (- 2 Actions) Ecclesia lets loose a shot of water at a distant tree with the force of a Bullet Punch! Critical Hit! Damage: SPE (3) + 2 + STAB + Held Item - 'INS' (2) - NE (1) = 5D6 + ()() - 1 Damage Dice! (3)(3)(5)(1)(4) (2)(4) 2 Damage! You heard a sharp *Sploo-CRACK!* as your sea drake's attack splintered the tree bark, drawing the attention of two of the previously inattentive 'guards' . They bring out their personal weapons - Bats wrapped with rusty chains - and stalk off in the direction of the noise, looking grim but curious. The rest of the group looks around for a moment too, but after seeing the guards do their job most of them return to their previous tom foolery. The two punks and the group reeming them didn't even notice , too wrapped up in their own drama at the moment. Time to see if Ecclesia can make a Steathy get away! Sink into the Shadows 2! SPE* (3) + Survival (3) + Stealth (3) + *2 (Dark Affinity with the Gloomy Woods!) - *2 (Big Pokemon Tromping Through the Woods) - 4 Action = 5D6 Dice (2)(5)(3)(5)(4) + *1 (Darkness Affinity) = 4 Successes! Guard's Alertness INS *2 + Survival (*4) + Alert (*2) - 2 (Lackluster Guardwork) = 6D6 Dice (4)(1)(6)(6)(6)(6) 5 Successes, Welp Initially, things went pretty well for your big Dragon, as they completely missed her on their first sweep of the area....until one of them tripped over a rock and ended up barreling into them and the Tall Grass and bushes she was hiding in. The Thug rubbed their head as they look up at what they hit, then freeze as they find themselves being stared down by a very[/i] unimpressed and annoyed behemoth. Ecclesia: [b]*Glares Intensely* Punk: .....AAAAAAHHHHHH! Their shrill scream echoed throughout the park, but it was quickly silenced by her blasting him into Faint with a Dragon Breath (Paralyzing them too in the process). Unfortunately the BBs heard it loud and clear - the gathering of goons was now on High Alert, with several more guards (*Rolls* 2 + 1, the '1' being the original guard leftover) quickly beating feet to where the commotion was, grabbing a few weapons from the pile and summoning various Pokemon. Those punks that bothered Penelope looked thoroughly spooked, while the person lecturing them - let's call them 'Head Goon' - just looked thoroughly annoyed by it all. Well shit. You can either continue to proceed with your outlined Plan, but with increased difficulty, or abandon it to do something else, such as rushing over to reinforce Ecclesia or 'Go Loud' and launch your Assault with what Pokemon you have on hand, trusty in Ecclessia's Stealthiness and own experience to take care of any Guard/Punk that stumbles onto her/she gets the jump on. You could also just retrieve your Mon and Run Away, like a Ponyta spooked by a pack of Growlithes - discretion is sometimes the better part of valor, after all.[/b] RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 05-03-2024 (05-03-2024, 01:03 PM)Iron Wrote: Vernon will definitely check out that light. First, he's going to use his Fishing Rod and leave it hooked to the surface if he can manage to catch it on anything sturdy. He'll disconnect the reel from the pole for now so he can have Theseus' skein of yarn in the Labyrinth, should this hole bring more side passages. It was an easy enough task to hook your line to top of the whole by tying a rock up and throwing it all the way up and out. Not firmly enough so you could pull yourself out of here, but between having backup that'll (hopefully) eventually stumble upon you, your Dex, and your own bag of tricks you should be fine enough getting out eventually. Munchlax bravely (or perhaps recklessly?) waddles ahead, getting down to shimmy through the tunnel and widening it in the process. After a few minutes you hear a delighted and affirming 'Munchlax!' echo from the hole, before a few more minutes later they pop out all covered in some sort of sparkly mud, hopping up and down in excitement as they eagerly point to the 'way forward' . From your experience with them, you know the Hole/Tunnel/??? was safe enough for you to travel, and that the scavenging cub had found something REALLY Interesting to make them energetic . Assuming your trust into your partner (and with your prior Orders and Vern's own curious nature), you head through the hole yourself. It was a tight fit, but between Munchlax clearing the way and your experience in similar situations getting through was a Painless and easy endeavor. Exiting the tunnel, you find yourself in a enclose space of hardened sand and rock, completely closed off from the outside world, save from where you entered. The floor was coated in the same gunk that was in Munch's fur - and you got more than a bit on yourself as you stood up. You felt strangely energized and revitalized - as if the mud itself was wicking away the mild aches that came from your fall. In the center of the space was a elevated mound, and on top of it a modestly sized crystal shard, giving off that bewitching Brown-Golden light. Vernon scoops up a large cookpot's worth of the sparkly mud, assuming it might have special properties. Then he takes a deep breath and grabs the crystal. Sylvia is definitely a fan of prepared berries, and smiles a bit at the Murkrow’s enthusiasm. Sylvia will employ the help of one of her partners: “Esp! Peon esp,” (Slash! I need your help,) and a poke ball floats up and releases an Alolan Sandslash. That might startle the Murkrow, but hopefully the berries will make up for it. The preparations: -Cut Berry Medley, a combination of 1 Persim Berry, 1 Cherri Berry, and 1 Oran Berry, diced by Slash. -Aspear on Ice, an Aspear Berry cut by Slash into slices and served on ice (provided by Slash) If Seddi wants to help, some sort of roasted berry dish would greatly add to the meal - otherwise, that’ll have to do. “Espeon esp esp esp? Espeon esp?” (Would you like to eat down here? Or I can get it up there for you?) If Sylvia asks Seddi for assistance, he can definitely help with roasting some berries! Or rather, Ceruledge can! She can also dice some of those berries while flash cooking them. RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Redstone - 05-04-2024 (05-03-2024, 08:35 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Akamu curses quietly under his breath. He had to do something fast before the whole group was in full alert. Quickly he recalls their first meeting and grips Kayla's Pokeball tightly. The Plan 2: Shifting to scare tactics immediately Nalu is invited to sit on Akamu's head like a turret, ready to scald anything that gets near and threatens the crew. ''Without burning down the park please little guy'' Lani gets the task of taking out as many of their dark pokemon as possible after the initial shock wears off, something she definitly will enjoy. He summons Kayla, jumping on her back to flank the goons in the most absurd cavalry charge they have ever seen. Ecclesia is signaled to join in on scaring them away. I’d like to roast a Rawst Berry, but I don’t have a fire-type move. Either Slash or Ceruledge can then cut it to look like a flower. Flash cooking food is something she's rather experienced with due to the necessity of such skills in the wilds, and also something that her Flash Fire ability is perfectly tailored for! |
