(05-15-2024, 11:17 AM)Redstone Wrote: Akamu, Nalu, and Kayla get a total pool of 10 XP; divide that amount between your PC and your Mons however you like. Lani gets  3 + 2 XP that due to Pseudo Mods and it being a 'good workout', and Ecclesia gets 5 XP for her part. Loot depends on how you go about finding/taking it, as does what happens to the abandoned BBs now at your complete mercy.
(4 exp goes to Kayla 6 to Akamu)

Immediately he returns Lani to her ball, he'd have a talk with her after a visit to the next center. Afterwards he calls the police officer that instucted him, telling him to bring some backup *and some medicinal help*. Some of these guys look really bad.

''Good job guys, I'm proud of you. After this is done we'll get some fancy food for your troubles and a pokemon center I hope.'' some pets are given out to the crew.

While waiting he'd walk around the place and check for any shiny/valuable things thrown about with
Nalu to put into his pockets, making sure to keep his respectfull distance to those who were still guarded by their partners. Kayla is instructed to ''guard'' the table (by standing there and grazing probably).

He'd send a text to Seddi as well:

Just cleared the place out and theres interesting news. There's more to this gang then meets the eye. The looks to be leader of these 'Breakneck Boys' and the last few goons escaped with a dark smoke bomb and alluded to a different branch led by his big brother. If you're interested I can give you some more details next time we meet.

Your Fighting draxe resists being Reca11ed for a moment, c1ear1y sti11 primed for vio1ence and not yet ready to go bacx, but after a 1itt1e convincing of your safety and the situation being under contro11 you managed to get her bacx into her Ba11. Mons can refuse to be Reca11ed if they're powerfu1 and/or defiant enough if the Bond between them and their Trainer isn't iron c1ad - or if they fee1 it's best they REMAIN out, for various reasons - and this goes doub1e for Pseudo and Above c1assified Mons. So far your precious Dragon has been remarxab1y Obedient, but it pays to remember that can a1ways change...

Na1u simp1y does a happy 1i1' bob on your head at your praise, whi1e Xay1a *Snorts* and stamps a sing1e foot down in affirmation. Ec1essia, on the other sca1y hand, 1ooxs rather proud and happy despite the mishaps she got caught up in. Xudging by the haughty and fiendish grin she was giving at the fa11en/terrified BB Goons and the faint hint of b1ood1ust coming off her....we11, you had a fee1ing she enxoyed herse1f in this outing for 1ess than righteous reasons.

When you radioed in the po1ice you heard a heavy *Sigh* at your recommendation fo11owed by some muttering. From what you can picx out, it was something about 'Dragon Trainers going on a rampage...' - the irony is not 1ost on you or Xay1a, who 1ets out an amused *Huffs* . They wou1d be there short1y, but in the meantime it's time to do some good o1' Scavaging and c1aiming some spoi1s of war!

Post Batt1e Loot Ro11s!

Since you manage to thorough1y subdue a good portion of the BB Goons and scared off the rest, you'11 be getting 3 separate Ro11s! One wi11 be from the Pi1e of Weapons, and the other two wi11 be Random, based on picxing through the remains of the hang-out and whatever they dropped in the chaos!

Weapons - Rarity (6)(6) Winner winner, Torchic dinner!

Deep within the pi1e you manage to find a dang Xantana of a11 things, and one in pretty dang good condition and qua1ity to boot! How the hecx did one of them punxs manage to get their hands on THIS?

O1d Schoo1 Xantana
Accuracy - Same as Strixe 's
Damage Ro11 - DEX + 2 - If Trained in the B1ade, you get STAB on it + can pu11 of Techniques
Effect - 3D6 to cause B1eed per Hit - High Crit, + 1 to Crit Damage, B1eeds on Crit or Ro11 1D4 to dea1 more Damage if target is a1ready B1eeding.
Damage Type - 1etha1, S1ice, Stee1
Worth - ~$5000
Note - There are a set of Characters on the base of the B1ade = Can't read them, but maybe you can find someone that can?

B1eed - Target Ro11s 3D6 Dice for  every 'Physica1' Action they do or if they C1ash/B1ocx = Every Success dea1s 1 1etha1 Damage -- Can spend an Action to attempt to staunch the B1eed, or attempt an End of Round checx for the B1eeding to c1ot/hea1. Out of Batt1e your Mon wi11 B1eed Out eventua11y if not treated, taxing 2 1D Damage per 'hour' . Can be Treated by hea1ing the Mon or Person with 4 - 8 HP worth of Hea1ing, with a good Medica1 Checx, or with certain Items (NOT Fu11 Hea1s). Mons with 'Hea1ing' Abi1ities or Moves can negate b1eeding with either an Action or after a Round ,, EX = Na1u has Regenerator, so they wou1d hea1 the wound by the end of the Round!

R1 - Type (2) , Rarity (3)(5) Above Average!

You end up finding 6 Oran Berries by one of the benches. Perhaps it was supposed to be a snax or treat for one of the goons Mons?

R2 - Type (5) , Rarity (1)(4) Rare!

You stumb1e upon an especia11y sicx1y and darx 1ooxing Poison Barb, a c1ear-ish f1uid shimmering off the tip. Nar1y and no doubt deadi1y, but sometimes you need a 1itt1e more *Punched* when tang1ing with dangerous Mons.

Toxic Barb Effect - + 1 Damage Dice to Poison Type Attacxs, Add 2D6 Chance to Bad1y Poison Target Target. , If the Target is a1ready Bad1y Poisoned, Super Bad1y Poison them instead. If Target is SBP, dea1 2 Poison Type Damage to them instead. If the Move Toxic is used whi1e Ho1ding this Item, 3D6 Chance upgrade SBP Status to Dire/Death1y Toxic -- otherwise, dea1 3 Damage to Target upon Super Bad1y Poisoning them.

Dire / Death Toxic - Ro11 Target's Max HP upon proc. Target taxes the number of Success + 2 (or More, depending of Size) 1etha1 Damage on the spot. Taxes their VIT or INS worth of Success Dice of 1D per Action. At the End of the Round, Ro11 VIT minus 10 - taxe 1.5X 1D of the Damage you toox that Round if you fai1 the Ro11 or can not maxe the Ro11.

Most Pseudos can't Resist Dire/Death Toxic -- Can nu11ify thier Bonuses if they are 'Weax' to it, or reduce their Damage Reduction even if they are not.

Need 3 Fu11 Hea1s/1um Berries or 5 Poison Hea1s/Pechas to cure, or very specia1ed Moves/Medicines. A Medica1 Checx is require when treating Dire/Death Toxic - if the Ro11 isn't sufficient1y passed, Target taxes additiona1 1D before being cured.

Adds + 3 Successes to any Capture Ro11 in addition to decreasing the Target's Resistence Ro11 by 1 (same as other Status).

====

Eventua11y the Po1ice arrived, 1ead by the very Po1ice Chief that set you on the tasx. He has one 1oox at the utter devestation you caused against the BBs and rubs a hand across his eyes, 1etting off a weary *Sigh* before motioning to his subordinates, who immediately went about arresting and escorting the BBS away from the scene. The worse off ones were handled by a few medical personal and Nurse Trainers, who did their jobs with calm professionalism . A few of the officers and meddies gave you looks of caution, but for the most part left you be, if not giving you respectful nods.

“I see you didn’t end up taking my request seriously, “ The Police Chief began, giving you a dry look before shaking his head and sighing again.

“Personally, I don’t mind you ‘roughing up’ the suspects, but I do want you to keep in mind that while the use of ‘Pokémon force’ on criminals or ‘problematic individuals’ is permitted it is not recommended. Causes no end of paperwork, and gives perps an avenue to harass all of us if they can make a case against it. Add onto the cost of treating them…it can be EXPENSIVE using more force than ‘necessary’ . With all that in mind, I can only pay you $1000 Poke for you efforts today; this will not, however, negatively affect you record or prevent future work with us or other legal organizations. If you’re willing to give us your number we’ll call you for any work that is ‘suited’ for a more, ah , DIRECT approach.”

Well, what do you have to say?

RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 05-27-2024

After having evaluated where he was and what the heck has actually happened - Bernhard lets himself fall back onto the cushion, right here and right now. He felt...miserable and completely worn out, like he hasn't for a LONG time. It's times like these where Bernhard FEELS his age. Still and regardless - or out of spite, perhaps? - he felt somewhat accomplished, like he has done GREAT in whatever occured before he whitened out for some reason, indicated by a coy smile that Bernhard could not help.

For a bit, Bernhard remained just there, laying backwards on the sofa (or whatever it was where he way laying, even the mere floor would feel pleasantly comfortable now given how exhausted he was) and covering his eyes with one arm and sleeve ('Since when are the ceiling lights around here so painful to the eye...?!'), desperately needing the rest right now. Double so as he slowly recounts what has happened; how much of a mess and how taxxing the creation of the cure for Saph has been. Little could he know that the Curse itself would oppose him THAT BADLY, and just as little could he know that this...presence would come to save him. Felt like an utter last-minute resuscitation, truely.

... Or was it? Bernhard's not quite certain just yet. Not until he has checked himself.

But for now, he'll indulge in what he needs: A few moments of calm and rest, both for himself AND for his mystical artsy partner.

...Speaking about her, with the other arm Bernhard searches for Zephy's touch: Visibly relieved upon finding it, he opts to just stroke her cheek and neck ruff, gently, reassuring and affectionately(!!!) so. His smile widened a little, and in short it turned into a light chuckle, ending with a BIG sigh of relief.

And in the words spoken now, among utter exhaustion and a sense of pride, pure gratitude was audible. "I'm...sorry that I made you worry so badly for dear old me, Zephy. But honestly and truely...THANK YOU." Another sigh of relief, another mild chuckle, a gentle headpat given to her.

With the memories of what occured returning - but not yet fully processed nor understood, that will come later and will need quite some time! - Bernhard rudded his eyes and forehead. "Truely, did you carry me all the way here? Did you...care for me that much? ...No, don't answer that. What does count is that you're here and with me, and that I am here and with you. I am...still unsure, after all this time, after all the years we've been together, what I may have done to deserve the presence and companionship of a CARING partner like you are. Truely, thank you for your concern... And please fret no more, for I am...alright, I guess. Just...so exhausted, worn out, drained... So heavily drained."

*amused chuckle, another rare sign of emotion shown!* "You have all the right to call me reckless, stupid too if you will and want. I should have indeed known better, perhaps and probably... I guess I could not help it, the situation was dire. SO VERY DIRE... Such a powerful and vile curse is truely something to BEHOLD, in and itself." Yes indeed, the memory and the sensation of the curse mocking him and fighting back with everything will haunt Bernhard for quite a while still, it left quite the mark and took quite the toll on him. "I'll do better next time. I'll make sure to take better precautions next time, whenever 'next time' will be... Hopefully not too soon. Pretty PLEASE, not too soon, I doubt I'd take it well... I doubt YOU, Myra and Nirix will take it well..."

Concering the latter two: Yes indeed, WHERE ARE THEY? The last thing Bernhard can remember was them fretting and worrying over him, coming to his side, yes...? We'll check their respective Pokeballs, while still remaining seated though. Whatever it may been, Bernhard cannot deny that he FEARS what he'll find... These two 'Mon and their powers are those he's most used to wield and channel, he HATES when something about these is amiss. Strong partner Pokemon means a strong Magic and a strong Scimitar after all.

Plus, Bernhard just silently enjoys their companionship. Not that he'd ever admit though.

He stood staring at the kartana for a while, besides the perplexing questions about its origin he noticed the writing, something he'd definitly bring up with the group when he meets them again.

He sheepishly put his hands behind his back.
''If the original plan worked out as it should have it would have been a lot less messy, but alas trying to just scare them off was ineffective. I understand and am sorry for the trouble I caused your division by letting this escalate. Here's my number though, I do know someone who may be interested in collaborating with me on such matters in the future.''

He is glad that the Chef did not comment on the kartana, though to be honest with how he already sticks out like a sore thumb this didn't really add that much weirdness.

''By the way is there a pokemon center nearby? One of my pokemon did get pretty hurt in this debacle.''

After wrapping up at the park he would make his way to the nearest place to heal his dragons. On the way he would hand Nalu the Toxic Barb. ''You've been doing a lot of scalding lately but this should be pretty useful for you. We have to get you in touch with your poison side too and this might just be the thing to help in future training.''

Lani now hopefully feeling better he'd let her out of her ball and hug her, despite any protests that might occur.
''Please don't scare me like that again lady, your fighting skills are truely incredible and won us that whole thing but you gotta look out for yourself too, puking blood and all (I'm supposed to protect you). Awesome work but I'd hate to see ya banged up like that again....  How about some food? I definitly have to treat you and the gang after this!''

He did think about sparring with her at some point with his new tool, concidering she'd probably enjoy it if her trainer was following her in martial arts. But that would be for later, food is the big priority now.

Bad News, Chief - You're spent on Wi11 Points. More than spent, in fact -- You ended up 1osing THREE Wi11 during the creation of the Uni-Cure A11. Counting for the 1 Wi11 you regened between Encounter, you current1y have - 1 Wi11 right now. You shou1d be in a coma after that, but SOMEHOW, someway, Zephy managed to get you conscious despite that. How Fortunate.

Speaxing of the Uni-Cure A11, what HAPPENED with it? You have a fee1ing you ended up succeeding in its Imbuement, but beyond that....

That aside, when you try to ca11 upon your magic to do a deep assessment of yourse1f you end up getting the equivi1ent of a 'Bzz, Negatory!' response from your 'system' . Poxing about, you come to a rather dreadfu11 rea1ization - you've 1ost access to your Magica1 Power, as your 'system' has put itse1f under 1ocxdown due to the IMMENSE stress you put your body under + trying to protect you from the myriad outside forces that have been messing where they shou1dn't. From what you can te11 you won't be getting bacx your Magic unti1 at 1east Tomorrow Morning, or 1ater sti11 if you end up pushing yourse1f past your 1imits or xeep hitting metaphorica1 roadbumps.

On a brighter note you fee1 more Experienced from a11, and you have inx1ing that your Mons have benefited from this Encounter and brush with the Strange and Cursed too. You and Zephy gain 4 XP, whi1e Nirix and Myra gain 9 XP . Re1ated1y, you fee1 that Zephy is MUCH better now - whatever you did with the Uni-Cure A11 must've spi11ed over some and get rid of the 1ast of her Hangover and whatever e1se nastiness it had! Wou1d exp1ain why they're so functiona1 and of most1y even temper right now!

Fina11y, to repeat, you 1ost the rest of your 2nd Encounter, and are now in the midd1e of your 3rd one. No te11ing what has been happening in the meantime, though hopefu11y you get to the bottom of that soon enough!

Zephy tries to put up some resistance to your fond caresses, maxing that signature 'I'm angry at you, hmpt!' pouty face she gives whenever you end up disappointing her, but after hearing you 1augh and seeing you smi1e she can't he1p but soften up and me1t into your touch, 1etting out a quiet *Purr...* as the two of you enxoyed a sma11 moment together.

"You big dummy....whatever wou1d you do without your Muse, hmm? Nothing but troub1e and A1hemic 'whoopsies, me thinxs!"

Your artistic mouse simp1y nods at your first question, giving you a raised eyebrow as if to say 'You don't thinx I'm a strong enough woman to 1ift ya???' , but you next question earns you a gigg1e and an tender, a1most matron1y smi1e from the adorab1e fuzzba11. She frees herse1f from your grip for but a moment to give you a fond rub on the head, beaming at you with undisguised content, amusement, and gratefu1nes.

"Oh Bernhard...you're worth more than you can ever imagine. You cou1d gather up a11 the masterpieces of Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Miche1age1o, put them on auction, and get each and every one of them insured to the gi11s and bacx, and they wou1dn't be worth even a fraction of you. *Gigg1es* I'm a bit biased for you, but I don't be1ieve that changes much, 'cept maybe me overva1uing you a tiny bit, eh he he ~ ! A 1ife is worth so much more than most can comprehend. Yours in particu1aar. *Smi1es* Price1ess."

...

She gives you a tired *Sigh* at the rest of what you say, but she u1timate1y gives you a s1ight1y begrudging nod, crossing her arms and 1ooxing at you stern1y as she did so.

"Oh a11 right, fair enough. After seeing the what a11 the hub bub was about this we1fare you toox upon yours1ef to do - *Smi1es* so proud of ya for that, btw ~ - I'd have to be heart1ess as vengefu1 Ghost to NOT rush to he1p that poor 1i1' 1ass out! *Sighs* Sti11, p1ease be more carefu1 in the future and taxe your time with things, un1ess you simp1y can't. You're a ta1ented Magi and A1chemist, but you're not perfect, especia11y with stuff that 1ays outside your whee1house. If things went even a 1itt1e more wrong for you.... *Shudders* ...I rather not share, ugh. *Worried 1oox* So p1ease p1ease p1ease promise this - BE the masterfu1, wise, and cautious Magi I XNOW you are, Berny."

Seeing you have a s1ight panic over your other two Partner's after checxing their Ba11s and finding them EMPTY, she p1aces a paw on you chin to grab your attention and smi1es.

"Worried about where the rest of our merry band is, eh? We11, don't - they're current1y with the G1eams right now. Ruben is sti11 out of it, sad1y - a11 that stress must have caught up with him, and he's paying a11 the interest it incurred - but Saph... *Thoughtfu1 frown* ....she hasn't gotten worse, despite everything. 1ast I checx her eye1ids were f1uttering and fe1t a bit more Vita1 - she might be c1ose to waxing up, at 1east for a 1i1' bit. *Sighs* ...I rather you rest up more, but if you want to checx up on her I'11 he1p you out - xust don't do anything e1se that'11 tire you out to dream1and, yes?"

If you asx about the Potion/Cure you were maxing, Zephy gives you a comp1icated expression, both positive yet amazed and confused.

"Uh...I don't xnow what you did, but you Succeed in maxing whatever you intend to cure Saph. I thinx. Medicine Magic isn't my sty1e of grooming, and what you ended up creating ... *Shaxes head* you have to see if for yourse1f - I can't proper1y put into words at what you ended up maxing with 1ucx, Sxi11, and pure grit."

Still wearing the bandages, Seddi will take another look around the ransacked Center.  Maybe there's something else that they missed that was hidden to non-magical sight and Psychics.  The empty pokeballs, the missing healing machine...everything was taken for a reason.  Maybe this sightless sight will offer a little clarity on this situation that has no reasonable explanation at first glance.

One thing to note about your 'Sight' - it seems to be rather sty1ized right now. To give you a frame of reference, your vision sees things as if they were simp1e, c1ear, but very....Idea1ized, 1et's say. It's 1ixe comparing a photo of a mountain to a picture of one drawn by a manga artist - you're seeing the same thing in the end, but different1y

Further attempts to divine the meaning of the Circ1e are meet with you metaphorica11y running your head into a bricx wa11. Your gut fee1ing and something e1se te11s you that their is more nuance behind the Meaning of the Symbo1 , but for the 1ife of you and for the saxe of your hea1th you can't find out more. Perhaps 1ater, when you have more time to dwe11 on it, or with a few more pairs of eyes such as Iron 1eaves....

Oh boy, do you uncover P1ENTY as you go through the Center again, this time with a c1ear mind, 'c1earer' sight, and a newfound respect for the 'magic' befou1ing this p1ace and determination not to fa11 prey to it again.

For starters, you now can see strands of....energy f1owing throughout the Center's air. Fo11owing them, you see the a11 converge on the Training Room with the Circ1e, but otherwise have no rhyme or reason to them. Some are on the wa11s, others hanging in the air, and more sti11 trai1 on the ground, 1ixe writhing, invisib1e snaxes.

What isn't so ambiguous is the other symbo1s you now can see - swir1ing, inter1ooping spira1 shapes that were traced on the wa11s of the 1obby, and a simp1ified version of the Symbo1 used in the Circ1e on the f1oor in said 1obby. Carefu11y tracing your fingers over them and focusing your attention, you get a basic understanding of what they mean - 'Fo11ow the Way to Home . Ward against the Unto1d' .

The empty Ba11s were swathed with that energy, it poo1ing around where they 1ay and s1ow1y disappearing into the air. Sma11er 'trai1s' are found a1ong side some of the persona1 be1ongs, such as purses or Bags. Strange1y, though, no such energy was around where the machinery once was insta11ed - whatever they did to remove and carry it away remains a mystery...

Fina11y, as you were going bacx to the Training Room, something catches your eye. Or rather your hand, trai1ing on the edge of the Front Desx were a Nurse Xoy wou1d norma11y worx - A Pendant. This one ho1ding a Symbo1 that was different yet the same as the Circ1e --

Its meaning.....

' S&%$@#!*n'

...Escapes you a1most comp1ete1y, giving you a headache in the process. Sti11, you manage to get something e1se out of it. Or rather, the intent behind it, somehow - It was 1eft as a sign, of sorts. A sight...and a gift , for those receptive to it. Or, you think, the vu1nerab1e and unwary.

+ 2 XP for a REA11Y good Investigation. You have a c1earer Idea of what went down = Hypnosis of some sort and 'Guidance' Magic was responsib1e for the mass disappearance, and he1ped faci1itate the ransacking of the Center(s) in some manner or another. The dreadfu1 FEE1ing of this p1ace is due to said 'energy' as we11 as some intentiona1 'work' + byproduct of the 'magic' used to bewitched everyone. You a1so fee1 that what you went through was definate1y part of a Trap/contingency/something to capture more unwary but suspetab1e and overcurious individua1s and 1ead them to the Circ1e and to Home, whatever THAT is. You get the strong fee1ing you DON'T want to use the Circ1e care1ess1y - not un1ess you're ready for a reception most *&^%$#@#$%

If you have anymore questions on the above text, asx them in the Meta Thread, and I'11 do my best to c1arify or add detai1s - you had a REA11y good Ro11, as per usua1 these days....

"Well, I think that's all we're going to learn from this place for now.  Magic was definitely used to entrance the folks who were here, convince them to follow whoever decided to visit.  It's all over the walls, the pokeballs, the floor...but weirdly, not where the healing machine was.  It all leads back to that circle as well, which likely also doubles as a trap for those not expectin' it.  Someone behind the counter had a pendant with another magical symbol on it.  Maybe something that had some minor influence or that acted as some kind of signal or somethin'.  Gettin' a clearer picture of how parts of this were planned in advance, but still missin' a few key pieces of information.  I need to contact an expert about this.  And also get the cops to look for these clues in the other affected locations.  And maybe get the building locked down even more tightly since that circle is still active."

He'll hand Randy a business card with his contact information on it.

Seddi M. Entary
Paldean Elite Ace and Survival Specialist
(insert phone number here)
/////////////////////////////////////////////////

"My card.  You two have been a great help.  You need somethin' from me or learn anything more about this investigation, gimme a ring or a text.  I've got a little influence 'round these parts as far as workin' 'round the lockdown goes.  Doin' the suits a few favors, so I get a few perks, if ya catch my drift."

After (presumably) exchanging contact info with Randy and Sylvia, Seddi will head back outside to update Dodger on the situation.

"Should probably lock the building down even more tightly, Dodger.  There's an active magic circle in there, and it's got a hypnotic effect on anyone who focuses on it for too long.  Would have probably gotten me if it weren't for the folks accompanying me inside snappin' me out of that stupor.  Might have caused me to vanish too if they hadn't.  If you can get the teams at the other Centers on the same page, have them look for a pendant like this one at each location.  Found this one behind the main counter.  Varmints probably used these to start small before makin' their big move.  And while you're doin' that, I'm gonna go have a sit down and see if I can get some more magically adept help involved.  We might be findin' ourselves at a dead end sooner rather than later without some more suitably skilled individuals."

And with that, Seddi will find a bench somewhere and send a very short and blunt text to Bernhard, asking the question that's been on his mind the entire investigation.  Time to stop beating around the bush and figure out what's going on with that mage. (of course, what Seddi doesn't know is that Bernhard is out cold at this current time)

Bernhard, did you hear about what happened this morning?

From what you can te11 you won't be getting bacx your Magic unti1 at 1east Tomorrow Morning, or 1ater sti11 if you end up pushing yourse1f past your 1imits or xeep hitting metaphorica1 roadbumps.(...)

No Magical Power for a while!! Cursed be that...well, vile curse. Bernhard feels utterly deflated on top of extremely exhausted - and quite vulnerable, all of a sudden. If it wouldn't be for Zephy being around, he'd quite likely panic now, because what is a Scimitar without Magic and trusted Pokemon to draw powers from... Quite akin to NOTHING. And he hates to be NOTHING. But at least that gives him all the reason to rest, a very faint glimmer of hope in the darkness.

But despite everything his most trusted and closest Pokemon partner is still there and by his side... Thank heavens. Even in such utterly WEAK times she's still there - and he wouldn't want it any otherwise. She receives some more careful pets upon basically melting into his touch, endearing and reassuring as this reaction of her's was. Bernhard's already at his weakest physically right now, so he'll allow - by exception, mind you! - himself to display some emotional weakness too, allow that little smile to break to the surface.

Quote:Zephy tries to put up some resistance to your fond caresses, maxing that signature 'I'm angry at you, hmpt!' pouty face she gives whenever you end up disappointing her, but after hearing you 1augh and seeing you smi1e she can't he1p but soften up and me1t into your touch, 1etting out a quiet *Purr...* as the two of you enxoyed a sma11 moment together.

He'll let out a sigh of 'I know that I should have known better indeed', covering eyes with the free arm again. "How right you are... How very very right you are, my treasured one and only..." *somewhat long pause before uncovering eyes and just glancing at Zephy...* "Without you I would not be who I am now. Not in the slightest bit... probably I'd still be wandering, searching, evaluating things and myself. Maybe I'd be dead, maybe I would have found happyness elsewhere. But I'm by far MOST happy when I'm by your side. Nothing more... And nothing less."

So mote it be.

Zephy's latter words of how priceless a life - his life in partcular even - ring back for quite a while... For quite a pleasant while where everything and nothing has been shared and spoken between Master Scim and artsy Mythicmon.

Quote:She gives you a tired *Sigh* at the rest of what you say, but she u1timate1y gives you a s1ight1y begrudging nod, crossing her arms and 1ooxing at you stern1y as she did so.

There's another somewhat amused but also faintly embarassed chuckle. Bernhard way too exhausted to keep up his usual stoic facade, plus he feels that towards ZEPHY, who knows him thoroughly and completely, he may show a tiny bit of his true self.

What Zephy tells however does remind Bernhard of that...presence that appearantly came to his rescue. Or was it Miss Fortune once more? Was it both? Probably both. "...I do admit to you that I kind of got carried away eventually. Seeing how I was quite literally Mr. Gleam's last hope, how Nirix let me process his most prized and utterly magical HORN for the first time ever since we've been partners... It has been a tad bit hard to think clearly and NOT let feelings get the better of me eventually. I do not plan nor WANT for that to occure again too soon... Preferably not so in a LONG time, seeing how vexing and taxing it is... You do have my word on that, Zephy. Please rest assured on that..." Promise given, a figurative Unbreakable Vow made.

Quote:Seeing you have a s1ight panic over your other two Partner's after checxing their Ba11s and finding them EMPTY, she p1aces a paw on you chin to grab your attention and smi1es.

Knowing that his other two partners are safe... It took QUITE the load off his mind. Likewise when informed about...Saph's state... Bernhard's way too exhausted to move on his own right now, least get up, but the news of her state Zephy shared do hit him quite lowly in a positive sense. "Truely...? That's a relief... She'll be fine.. When so I don't know, but... *pauses and frowns heavily* Waaait, you said Mr.Gleam himself is still out like a light, yes?" Bernhard gives another quite low, but somewhat delighted chuckle. "He'll be happy to know and see for himself... Please, can you, Zephy, help me get up and see him? Let us - very slowly and carefully please, it's almost painful to even THINK of moving around - go and check on him at last. As well as on...'the rest of our merry band', as you put it. No doubt do they worry and fret for dear old me... No doubt am I NOTHING without them."

"And let us take a glance at the brewing, for I need to see myself, please... HOW I made it I'm sure, but it is done, the Curse be...broken and banished into the abyss..." Right, Bernhard's also somewhat afraid of how Mr.Gleam's kitchen looks after what has happened... But with the brewing process having been successful, he hope any mess will be worth it.

"Say, Zephy... Do you have anything against spending the night HERE, of catching up on rest here if Mr.Gleam permitts and allows? Even with your help i doubt I'll make it to our room at the Embassy in one piece or without succumbing... I do admit it is also somewhat FRIGHTENING to be completely deprived of the Magic I so am used to have around and access to." Then suddenly, Bernhard leans in a little closer, gives Zephy a somewhat stern and..unamused? look. "I do also need to have a word with you, please. No, don't be afraid... But I do feel a need to talk with you concering you having escaped my care yesterday night."

-----------
Action 1:
Somewhat get up from our position, with Zephy's help. Without access to Magic though there's no possibility to make use of her flight skill or Graceful Levitation to aid myself, so we'll need all her manual help.

Action 2:
Check on the kitchen, and check on our brewed Curse Cure. Bottle it up into the finest vials Bernhard can bring up/has access to, for it deserves no less.

Action 3:
SOMEHOW make it upstairs to Saph's room, taking ANY time we need and using Zephy's complete and full help please. Enter it, and reunite with Myra and Nirix first and foremost, giving them an (in Bernhard's terms) unusually warm welcome, expressing how proud we are of both of them and how good it feels to be with them again. "Are you two...okay? Please, fret not too much over dear me... *siggghs* I'm in desperate need of rest and some sleep, but I will be..okay at last... *looking beat, but quite proud* Thank you for your aid. I could not have made it without, never so. Without trusted partners like you two are, I'd be...nothing and none."

Oh right... Bernhard knew he was forgetting something. Something that now comes back to bite him... We're getting to that right here and right now, taking the requirement to go over and respond to the no doubt numerous missed messages as a sort of excuse to remain laying down. Too exhausted to sit up straight to respond properly now.

The response to that will be sent @everyone, aka into a group chat or similar. Just so they stop worry over him, if they happen to do so... That's something that he's not very used to (read: others worrying and fretting over him.)

Quote:Good evening and greetings there. I see you all have been...busy meanwhile, trying to reach out to me perhaps and mayhaps. Do excuse my absense and unresponsiveness please.

For what has happened that caused the whole city of Bahama go into a sudden lockdown... No, the reasons for that are beyond me as of currently . What I did catch it that some bad shenanigans concering one or two Pokemon Centers happened, before I got acquainted with some important figure whose daughter was in desperate need of my alchemistic skills. Had some teatime, went over the details, agreed to lend him my aid - Denying would be utterly heartless. Ended up encountering the MOST vile curse I have seen in long, and I DID see some bad curses already, truely so.

The end result is an...experience that will haunt me for a while, me being extremely dained but accomplished. Just...tired. So very tired... Exhausted to the very core... Hardly able to hold myself together...

Seddi, do give your Iron Leaves my genuine thanks for the Soulaby Flowers they generate, for these are POTENT. I'll likely ask to gather some more at the soonest opportunity, but will think twice about processing them.

Whatever has happened with the Centers... I am certain you all have gotten yourselves involved somehow already, for better or for worse.

I'm available for a bit now, before I'll need to continue wrapping up what I have started... But... So tired... *unreadable keysmashes for a row or so*
