RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-18-2019 Quote:The snowshrews are grouped up in such a way that spread moves can only hit one group at a time. Each group is also focusing on one specific trainer to start with. So does that mean that a move affecting the whole battlefield WILL hit all the Pokemon on our side as well or is it now splitted that it is safe to do so = will solely hit the foes as it's counting as seperate Encounter? I'd please like to know for certain from GM themselves before I give orders to my Pokemon in GameThread, as I actually wanted to undo the summoning of Aya and solely fight with Core once being told that allies will be hit by her battlefield-moves as well, and then have Core clash that Boomburst from Ran's Chatot in a Single Action to prevent him from being easily defeated by that action (if his Ability for today would be Soundproof, I wouldn't care) - means, have Kee solely prioritize the safety of his Pokemon and let the others take an offensive role against the Sandshrew and -slash. But if they are splitted into groups focusing on a characters each, this will make him completely defenseless. That Encounter's having become way more tricky than it maybe should have, is there no way it can be done in such way that it's indeed counting as seperate, like with these Snower at the lake? :C RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-18-2019 (07-18-2019, 12:22 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote:Quote:The snowshrews are grouped up in such a way that spread moves can only hit one group at a time. Each group is also focusing on one specific trainer to start with. As I just stressed with Beethoven's Boomburst, an AOE will hit EVERYONE (trainers included). The snowshrews are focusing on one set of targets per group at the start, but this is still a big group battle. If one side gets an advantage over the other, things could snowball quickly. The encounter was always meant to be a little trickier. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-18-2019 Humm, okay and thank you for the clarification. One last question before I can bring up my orders in-game as something just came to my mind: Is it possible for Aya to clash that Boomburst with a battlefield-move on her own, in particular those soundwaves that'll hit our Pokemon in order to further reduce damage dealt to them? And since it's done with a move that hits everything, the Sanshrew and -slash will still be targeted and hit, will they? If you use a Sound Based AOE, you can Clash it with Boomburst and reduce the damage dealt to everyone (enemies included) by both. It's an all or nothing reduction if you wish to affect just as wide an area as Boomburst. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-18-2019 WHAT, it'll hit TRAINER's too? :o @Lord Windos, Kee will directly take Ran into responsibility for any damage dealt to him and will insist to make up for it fully and completely, just so that you know beforehand. I hope you have enough medicine on hand. I hope you have enough medicine on hand. That's more than fair, dear. If me or Ran actions end up doing bad by players/characters (Like friendly fire, some IC/OOC Feud, etc..), we'll ALWAYS do our best to make it up and avoid repeating such a problematic decision unless it's absolutely necessary. That I will promise, and you can hold me and him to it. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 07-18-2019 @Dragonstrike, I have a question: Would Sparkling Aria Clash with BOOMBURST only dampen the Damage against Primarina , or would it dampen the Damage for everyone? If it the later, I'm not okay with the Clash, since if it blunts BB's Damage too much, then what was the bloody point of using it in the first place? RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-18-2019 That's why I changed my actions. Gama know Mat Block. It will protect Kee, Karen and Randolph, but the explosion will hit Kogeki. Not to mention it's impossible to dodge a AOE attack. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-18-2019 (07-18-2019, 01:51 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: @Dragonstrike, I have a question: Would Sparkling Aria Clash with BOOMBURST only dampen the Damage against Primarina , or would it dampen the Damage for everyone? If it the later, I'm not okay with the Clash, since if it blunts BB's Damage too much, then what was the bloody point of using it in the first place? It's going to dampen the damage against everyone. Sparkling Aria would also hit everyone at the same time, though (also with dampened force, but Mat Block should lessen the damage most of the trainers will take) This is part of the reason why I didn't need to roll Boomburst out in advance. The mere act of saying you're going to use it in this scenario means everyone has to account for it, or you're going to end up wrecking yourselves as well as the enemy. Sure, you're not okay with the Clash, but not everyone in the group is okay with using Boomburst since it hits them as well. I can roll out the orders now since I have everyone's for the current course of action (Boomburst with a Clash and Mat Block to prevent it from wrecking the trainers' HP). OR you can discuss a change in plans with everybody before I do so. The ball's in your court, Windos. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-18-2019 Eh, reducing the damage dealt to the foes by clashing that Boomburst is not my intention, but reducing the damage to our Pokemon is it. I'll edit properly once clarified. |
