I can roll out the orders now since I have everyone's for the current course of action (Boomburst with a Clash and Mat Block to prevent it from wrecking the trainers' HP).  OR you can discuss a change in plans with everybody before I do so.

Guess what, I'll just leave things as they are now because I really want to see Aya sing in this scenario and I don't want to edit my orders for the n-th time. Means, from my side it can be rolled out!~

If it the later, I'm not okay with the Clash, since if it blunts BB's Damage too much, then what was the bloody point of using it in the first place?

It's going to dampen the damage against everyone.  Sparkling Aria would also hit everyone at the same time, though (also with dampened force, but Mat Block should lessen the damage most of the trainers will take)

This is part of the reason why I didn't need to roll Boomburst out in advance.  The mere act of saying your going to use it in this scenario means everyone has to account for it, or you're going to end up wrecking yourselves as well as the enemy.  Sure, you're not okay with the Clash, but not everyone in the group is okay with using Boomburst since it hits them as well.

The ball's in your court, Windos.

.....I will commit to my current course of Action with Beethoven, even though it'll like go to pot completely if Sparkling Aria does too good of a job soaking the Damage. As I said earlier, I am adamant in my decision to using BOOMBURST, as I want to resolve this Encounter ASAP and prevent the A-Sands from causing more problems altogether than a single BB could cause. He's hoping that BB Crits and Rolls high enough to mostly bypass SA.

If I knew of a way to bypass the Clash altogether, I would try to do that instead, but I don't, so I won't.

Very well.  Let me start rolling this out then.

RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-18-2019

Wait a second.  Before I finish rolling this out, I just remembered ONE VERY important detail:

Mat Block does not have increased Priority, unlike other Shield type moves.  Which means it can't reduce Boomburst's damage since Gama is lower in the Initiative than Beethoven.

Any change in plans in light of that new info?

Would a Splash Clash work, not necessarily in this instance, but ever? Trying to think of a way to make Splash useful.

Moves need to actually be capable of doing damage to Clash with anything.

If you were to ever get a Normalium Z, Z-Splash is actually pretty useful (though you can't Mega Evolve with that combo).  Otherwise, Splash doesn't exactly have any kind of practical use most of the time.

The same thing applies to anything that somehow has Hold Hands or Celebrate.

The moves generally tend to be more useful in Contests than anything else.

Ah awesome. Then go as planned before: Bubble, HA-Dark and Night Slash. Took a long time to make such changes in Game Thread so use those.

Gama could still use that move to reduce damage dealt from my Sparkling Aria maybe. Other than that, no change in plans from my side.

Hold Hands would be a great move for Octavia to know, just because it fits the nature of a Sylveon in general and even better Kee's exemplar. Let's ship those two now

Given the Clash goes off before Mat Block would, that unfortunately won't reduce Sparkling Aria's damage either.

It's done.  Time for the recovery period.
