Meza...Oz heart sank deep in what she learn about the story of Meza...Oz can relate to such pain. When the waitress return she look at her. Before we get to the Adoption Picks, let's see what Fortune has in store for you, eh? *~*~*~*~* *The Following Scene Happens After The Adoption of Any Mon and Getting to Know Fafurr* "....And the Results are in, everyone! *Pulls out the Tickets, and Sorts them Out* Let's see who Lady Luck and Miss Fortune Favored this Evening? First up - *Gasps!* And somebody scored the The [[ J A C K P O T ]] ?! And It's none other than....Oz!!! Our newest friend here at Koffee Kupos Kudos!!! Come on down and claim your Prize!!!" Several of the other patrons groaned at first, saddened and frustrated that it was not them that won it BIG tonight, but the moment you hurried out of your little corner, all bedraggled but full of excitement, and they caught sight of you....they could help but clap along and cheer! They may have wanted to win, but these fox and elphant-ficonados have big hearts and good Empathy to see that you needed it much more than they. Besides, their was always next time, and being spoil sports isn't in these fluffy lover books. Enjoy life and it's up and downs, I say! As you reached the small stage holding the Raffle Tiffany is the one to present you with the Grand Prize - a Black Wooden Box! "*Grins* You lucky fox you! Knew you needed a Pick Up, and I guess so did Fate too! Enjoy, sugar!" You took the box in hand and slowly opened it, face full of eager anticipation....! ....And saw what appeared to be Rocky Spiral of sorts. Confused, you took it out for a closer look, and suddenly the patron were snickering at it. Seeing your perplexed expression is what drove them into full on laughter, some of them pounding the table and shaking their heads in pure mirth. Even Tiffany was giggling, covering a sharp looking smile with one hand. Taking a closer look at what you won in better light....you recognize what it was. This was a Fossil. Specifically, a Corpolite Fossil. Or to put it in layman terms, a Poop Rock. No doubt from an Fox or Elephant of sorts. You nearly dropped it like a stinkin hot rock, but you resisted - these are actually really rare to find, especially in such size and condition! Perhaps a collector would like to have it....or maybe it contains enough DNA to clone something from it. Who knows? "....Pffft! Hahaha! Gotcha! Ol' Zonkin First Routine never gets old, kei kei kei!" Just as you were about to probably react in either a poor manner - or perhaps join right in with the joke too - you are stopped as Tiffany reached forward and shook your hand. ...And you felt her slip something into it. "....And now for the real Grand Prize." Looking down at your hand, you find a Luxury Ball in it. Pulling the up the holographic display.... ...You find yourself in the possession of a Shiny Zoroa. No, not just any Zoroa, but a Ancient. Some might say....a throwback from Old Times. Shiny H-Zoroa Obtained. Tiffany gives you a closed eye smile, this was warm and friendly "Truly enjoy it, little wiccan one. *Whispers* I don't just let anyone have one of my daughters, after all." The woman's smile turns sly and toothy as she whispers the second part - and briefly, you saw her face flicker. Flickered into something more....vulpine. Before you could react she raised your arm into the air, show casing the Grand Prize, and once again the crowd cheered, no, roared their jubilation, the mood all the brighter for it being the punchline to a great joke! By the time you turned to face Tiffany, she was already gone, sliding away into the crowd and mingling with it until she...faded away. ....When you checked your wallet later, you also found out she overcharged you for your Drinks, the bill going up to $2000 Poke instead of the $1000 for 4 Drinks ($250 each). Maybe that was why she gave you the 'Free' Raffle Ticket. You just got bamboozle...in the best way possible. Uh..... *~*~*~*~* If you decide to go for Adopting Dite, that's another Fox for the tally! As for Mesa... They were in a small carved out 'cave' - more like a wooden cube that was hollowed out for this purpose - curled up and away from the rest of the other foxy and elephantine critters. If it were for them shifting around to look at you, the first thought you'd have was that they were sleeping. Seeing the quiet, gloomy air of loss around them, though, you knew they were sulking. You reach out, trying to begin on a right foot with the snow dragon... Diplomacy Roll INS (4) + Contest (2) + Empath (2) - 2 (Smell Like Magic and Fairies) = 6D6 Dice (1)(5)(2)(2)(3)(2) Meza hissed, bristling at the sight and smell of someone so...arcane and roughed up, slinking back furthing into her 'cave' until you could only see the tip of her horns and the shiny points of her teeth. Yeah...not a good first impression there. Better luck elsewhere, unless you got a plan to overcome the odds. At first, Oz did indeed wince with the smell, but when she reconize it was a fossil Pokemon, her face turned into pure happiness! And Oz almost faint in shock in see such rare Pokemon. Not only a shiny Pokemon, but a hisuan Zorua! She only heard stories about that Pokemon, and see one in front of her. "Wait, daughter? You are a-" Before she could ask, the woman simply disapear. Oz looks confuse at her sisters, and tell them. "Guess today we get two new members in our team I guess. Might need your help Persephone to teach this new ghost. Will need to give this one a new name though..." Even with the overcharged bill, she still happy for the results of such amazing prizes she get. Guess luck finally begin to change for the better today huh... --- After adopt Dite (gonna work later in the post scene of the meeting with H-Zorua and Dite) Oz, go to the cavern meet the Meza. The...meeting was not the best, but Oz imagine it would go that way. Oz decided not to approach much to not make the Dragon even more angry. She sigh a bit and then sit in the ground, looking at the direction of Meza. "No need to get angry. I will not approach more than you want. I...just came here to have a conversation. Heart to heart if you want. Since...you know...Even if you prefer to be alone, its...not always the best thing. I say that for personal experience." Oz chuckle a bit, noticing the Dragon problably smelling her. "You notice huh? *Sigh* Sometimes, I wish...I dont have this lineage. I feel it brings more problems them blessings in my life. Always needed to be strong an carry the lineage of my family." "...But...I prefer to go other path. Be a life saver. Save everyone lifes...Kinda be...well...a hero I guess." Oz scratch the back of her head. "I know...this sound very corny...And it is I guess. But...I was inspire by the great heroes of the past. Who fight impossible odds, to make a change in the world. IN BE the change. Black Flame Heart. Nathan the great savior. And even...Shiva the faerie. And so so many others. I wanted to be a change of the world too. Not because of...what I am...But because of my own merits...Thats why I decided to be a medic. To save as many lives I can." Oz than sulk a bit. "My parents...didnt like one bit. They didnt like me getting into college to become a medic. I almost get a slap from my mom...They wanted me to follow in their footsteps. It took a lot of convincing and my grandparents help to convince them...But...even in home I felt alone. The only company was my sisters...Persephone, Fortuna and..." Oz eyes begin to shred tears. "Glinda...My partner. My best friend. The other half of my soul. She...She always stay in my side. She helped me when I was in my worse...And heal the wounds in my heart. She was...my everything." Now Oz really begin to cry. "I had friends...but...they all died. I try to save them...but...They are died in front of me. And I couldnt do anything to help them. Lucy...Sindara...Poor Romero...Oh poor Romero. They...trust on me, and I fail them. And when I was about to get killed...Glinda. Oh Glinda..." She cried a lot, tears of the most pure suffering and angsty. "She...she sacrificed her life. She gave her life to save me. The pain...never go away. It’s still...there. Like a scar who refused to be healed, not matter how much you try." Oz then turn her head, still in tears but trying to be strong through a smile. "But...if you feel pain, if you miss it, that means the love still there. Yes, feel loss is...paintful. Very very paintful. There might be days where the pain is...excruciating. That might tear your heart appart. Heck, it might even tempt to...do things you will regret. But...the pain in the heart is also a meaning. To value what you still have: The life to love the world again. To love again. To care again. And to always cherish all the moments you had with that person. So when the time comes, when you again meet that important person in the other side, she asks you:" "Did you had a good life?" "And then answer: Yes. I had a good life. A life I can be proud of. A life with dignity. A life when that person can be proud of you. Because...well...I think even now, Glinda is watching over me, whatever the place she is...And I pretty sure your friend is also watching over you, and they would not like to see you dwell in suffer alone. So...if you want, if you so much desire, I will share the pain with you now as your friend. If you wanna talk. I promise to come to you here everyday I can, and share that pain with you. For them...And for us." Action: Even if Oz cannot adopt Meza, she refused to let them this poor soul suffer alone. She know what loss can do to a person...and she dont want another one to suffer that alone. No problems with speaking with Sylvia directly instead of going through Randy, but Seddi can't help but wonder how an Espeon can use a Rotom Phone (or similar)... Hopefully he can survive long enough to actually earn and use that incredible capture device... The entire time he's looking over the contract though, he keeps sternly glancing at the government official. "Y'all better be grateful I'm even thinking about attempting this. If it weren't for a variety of recent circumstances, I would have turned this down without a second thought, incredible rewards or not." The advance on the stipend is handy. He can use that to buy some supplies potentially. Covered half of the cost of purchasing Kusanagi at least. --------------- The Survival Center Tour is a much more relaxed scene, and Seddi's not gonna let his frustrations with the suits get the better of him here, so he's all smiles. Seddi's main question when he hears this is hangout for bounty hunters is only a natural line of questioning he thinks. "Gatherin' place for bounty hunters, huh? Out of curiosity, you ever see the Quicksilva Speedster around these parts?" Seddi would definitely have Goodra out. He's not about to deny his friendo the opportunity to spend time with him and see the sights of Bayahama while he can! Much like Vernon, Seddi would be more interested in fishing up an item instead of a pokemon. He's already got two Water types on hand, so he doesn't desperately need a third. Good to see Akamu present as well! Not having to find each other later will save them time when they're ready to go do some sword swinging. Seddi will chip in on this conversation. "As a Paldean, I can assure you that Dondozo are indeed as large and slow thinking as you've heard. Unless they've found a Tatsugiri they like. Then they get really hard to wrangle because the little guy is the one calling the shots! Veluza and I have had to deal with some of the big guys on rare occasions. Tough nuts to crack even without the little Commander!" Quote:Oz crouched in the ground and check the fossil. It is really beautiful. "We almost lost it sisters, but you manage to intercept the Raticate." She takes another look and then decided to send a message to Seddi. It's around this time that Seddi finally notices the first text from Oz. He briefly looks it over and sends a quick response. Definitely sounds like a strange fossil. Not sure if I'll be able to identify it, but I can give it a look later if you want. Of course, he didn't think he'd be hearing back from Oz by the end of the tour...but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 06-17-2024 An unseen force 'guiding 'the incense smoke to writh and twist around dear little Saph, the bright blue glow of the Saphire Pendant worn around her neck and held in the gauntlet'ed hand and the feels of something drapping across his shoulders - no, Bernhard wasn't afraid anymore. The weight of being 'the last hope' for the Gleams felt like it lifted, even if it was by just a little bit, upon that presence making itself known, upon the realization that it was there to support him. That is was there with him, that is has never left a single time since yesterday evening. Quote:Yes. I will. Wake up, precious gem.... "...Thank you." Simple words perhaps, but Bernhard feels like there is no need to say anything more or anythingelse. His words, even if they were no more than a mere whisper spoken to something unseen, ringed and echoed back in his mind and in the dead-silence of the room where it was just him, his Pokemon-partners, Saph, and... eventually, Bernhard feels like he understands. He returned Saph's gaze as she eventually and slowly woke up. He did not flinch away or reacted to the unpleasant sight of the state of her eyes, that unhealthy solid purple color they had - if anything, he took painful note of it, took it as an indication of how much the Curse has taken over the poor little girl, and how dire the situation was. Bernhard feels grateful that he has managed to come for help in Mr. Gleam's name, having been approached by him just a day or mere hours later might have been too late already - he does not want to think of such a possibility. Her weak, soft and so very worn out words of greeting to him were met with subtle and (in Bernhard's terms) incrediby gentle smile and look. He felt like just one spoken word could tear dear Saph apart, break her, so weak and whispy she was laying there, being awake now at last... He carefully placed his natural hand on hers - ignoring how icy-cold the touch was - while his hand with the Gauntlet never lost a gentle grip around the Saphire Pendant of her. "...I know. I am here to help you, just like your dear mother has come to rescue me yesterday as I was concocting the medicine for you... If it weren't for her, I would not...be able to potentially cure you of the vile curse infesting your system, hope for you to see the world again would I have much less indeed, confidence that I can make a difference would I have a whole lot less..." Quote:She smiles again, then gives you a curious look, so honest and pure you felt as if you were in front of a Holy Relic. *looking beat, yet there's a confident undertone all subtly in between the lines* "Least I can do is try. ...Though it is not me you shall thank, nor my magical unicorn... It is her. She who has always been with you, and who is still with you now when you are at your weakest... Least I can do is repaying her, by doing what I - " *motions to Nirix, Myra and Zephy* " - what we can do to help you." "Please, do not be afraid. Do not loose hope, for it never left in the first place. Please, trust in me. Trust in... her." Quote:Save her. Please. "I shall and I will." Course of Action: Do not respond here just yet, Windos. I'd like to discuss the course of action and the scene with you via PM at first. Her eyes glowed deep red as she lifted a tail over it and began to write. Black Tohjo Symbols formed as it darted across the paper, and with one last pulse of power the entire talisman glowed before it faded, leaving a bright red Curse Talisman that was slightly hazy! How to Use: Give it to one of your Mons to Hold (or Hold it yourself), then when they/you make Contact with a Foe you can 'prime' the Talisman, prompting a 5D6 Chance Roll for it to stick to the Target and give it a Curse. If it fails, the Item falls off; if it Crit Fails, the Curse Rebounds on the user instead. Once 'activated' , the Item remains usable within said Encounter + the next 3 Encounters (1 Full Day, essentially). One last thing to note: The Ninetales seems interested in your Feathered Crown, looking at it with a sense of intrigue and wonder... Hecate, meanwhile, is simply oblivious to the potential mayhem H!Zorua could cause, happy to have another sister in their coven! ---- Oh my. Yes, that certainly earnt you another shot at gaining Meza's trust! Empathy Roll - 2nd Chance with Meza 8D6 - 2 + *2 (Relatable) + (+1 Success [Inspiring]) = 8D6 +1 (1)(3)(2)(4) (4)(5)(2)(1) + 1 + previous 1 - 1 = 4 Successes You speech, impassioned as it was, and the message you were sharing as you bore your heart....it resonated with the fluffy dragon, if only a bit. Slowly, gradually, the shuffled forward and closer to you, not quite leaving their 'cave' but giving you a good look at them as you told your tale. Meza was...not in the greatest condition. Her fur, which should have been impeccably groomed, was matted and dull, as if she couldn't have been bothered to take care of it herself. An invisible weight was pressed on her shoulders by how hunched they looked, and she had a sad, melancholy frown. At the end of the story, as you impacted that critical question, Meza head hung low, saddened yet....contemplative. Once you gave your promise, she looked up, her expression, already hard to parse, was more unreadable. "....Prrrrmgggggmaaah..." Its cry was....not happy. Not hopeful. But...somewhat accepting. Slowly, they turned and retreated back into their 'burrow', curling up once more - this time, though, they were facing you as they 'rested' ... Tiffany had an unreadable expression, their face so plain and neutral it was almost uncanny, before they blinked and favored you with a sad but hopeful smile. "Now that....was beautiful. From Death, New Beginnings Unfold. From Sacrifice, one can truly Grow. Meza....I think she appreciates the message it in her own way. You're free to come back and visit her anytime - she isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I think, given what we ask for her, and what she needs from someone. Once you go to pay for Dite, though, Tiffany stops you, her expression....thoughtful. And perhaps....deviously helpful? "I have a.....proposal for you. Nobody so far has....touched lil' Meza like that. Not like you. With you own sorrowful story yet triumphant Return....I think you'd be a good fit for her. Not now, though - she'll need more time to warm up to you. If you're willing to keep visiting her everyday and get her to thaw.....I could convince the store to sell her to you for Half Price. *Smirks* Especially if you do a Couple of Favors for us, or are willing to Work here 'pro-bono' for a few days and Events. *Smiles* What do you think of that, Oz?" Essentially - Put off buying Dite or not buy them and save your Poke to work on Bonding and Buying Meza later for 1/2 Off, in exchange for Owing the Store in Time and/or Big Favors. What do you think? Note: You can still buy Dite, but then you're going to have to scramble to get a lot of Poke to buy Meza later - or put yourself more in debt with Tiffany and the Store for a bigger discount.... Note 2: Do remember this Moment happened prior to the Raffle - Oz doesn't know what Tiffany is yet. Everyone always has a good time when The Dandy Man is around, Eh he he ~ !" Well, looks like he has a strong following with this group - and probably any other Bounty Hunter or Mercenary Group, considering his status... If Goodra is out, the guide girl is so bold as to ask them to carry her on their shoulder as they Tour, which the lovable and most huggable Dragon is more than delighted to comply with, hoisting her up like no biggie. She lets out her own cheer as she steadies herself before motioning over to the Fishing Ponds. "Right! If you don't have anymore Questions, let's begin our Tour!!!" The First Floor is mostly akin to a Pokemon World version of a Military Goods Store mixed with a Bass Pro Shop - it has just about everything you could ever want or need to rough and Tough it out in the Wilds! However, most of the PCs already have kitted out to Survive in the Wilds, so I don't imagine they'd be interested in buying anything - if you have something special you're looking for, however, the Guide will do her best to find it! As for the Fishing portion of the Tour, she leads you over to a big indoor pond, complete with an artificial stream that flows into and out of it, chock full of plants, logs, and rocks! You could see a few Bugs and Birds nested about the place, but they seem uninterested in interacting with you - the guide explains they are there more for security and as a temp home for some recent and nicer rescues. Now, onto the Fishing Items Roll! Vernon: Gets + 1 Rarity Value on the D20, since he's already fished here before and has Pwee subtly guiding him to grab any goodies, since this was their former home. Type: (1) Derp , Rarity: (3) + 1 = Omph You fish up a badly smashed up Wide Lens - completely unrepairable and useless, but perhaps it could be used to make something else. Burbling laughter seemed to echo at your catch - de ja vu, da ja vu... Pwee, if out, gives you an affronted look. Turtwig simply sighs.... Akamu: Since you already have 2 Water Mons, I'll just have them search for an Item too with their own deluxe Rod! They + 1 of the Type of Item they get, and it won't be Trash by default unless you Roll a 1 on the D20! Type: (4) + 1 = 5! That's something good! , Rarity: (19) REALLY good! You fish up a Sparkling Prism Scale! Sells for about $3000 Poke, can be used to Evolve a Feebas into a Milotic that Sparkles (Not Shiny) when Traded, or can be used in Crafting to make a Beautiful Item out of it! When Held, 2D6 to ignore Chance Effects and Reflect them back on Target. Seddi: More or less no modifiers for him - he caught Velzuna himself, but he's no much of a fisher in general and is more focused on exploring the land than Water Type: (4) Not bad! , Rarity: (15) Not bad at all! You end up reeling in a bag of High Quality Water Rations (3x Units) ! Any Water Types that eat these rations once per day gain 1.5 XP in 2 Encounters they participate in on the next day (Give it as Dinner -> 2 Encounters the next Day for more XP!) ! Also boosts Happiness of Water Pokemon that eat it too, though by how much varies. Once that was done and you got your goodies - and anything else from the 1st Floor, the Guide gives you a decision - 2nd Floor (Offices and Bounty Hunter/Explorer 'Office'/Hangout, Basement (Big Hardware), or 4th Floor (The Holding Facility and Rescue Area). Which grabs your fan? RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Iron - 06-17-2024 Vernon suggests going to Hardware first and then on upward in turn. |
