Tiffany seems interesting - Sylvia has met people capable of blocking her before, whether they knew it or not. Mostly dark-affiliated trainers, but there was also that librarian who may have been a Zororark… regardless, Sylvia doesn’t put much thought into it.

The book nook seems very interesting - She’ll scan it, looking for books on Psychics, Independents, or “underdog” battle strategies.

For the noon encounter, Sylvia will see if she’s got enough for a Foxy Delights! room with any psychic-type or eeveelution. If she has enough left over, it’ll be one Raffle ticket.

After all that, once Bernard joins Oz, Sylvia will approach the pair.
>>Pardon me.
Sylvia turns to Oz.
>>Good afternoon. I saw you yesterday, helping out the medics with Seddi at the pokecenter, but I didn’t get your name.

Darren shakes on it, as he leaves, he presumably sees Sylvia, but doesn't think much of the Espeon at the time, environment considered.

Darren wasn't still at the café at the time of that message and he doesn't personally know, so it unfortunately stays on read

Darren's 4th encounter was Flutter Mane/Shedinja, so outside of further bonding (he'll take the current opportunity to get to know his Élan better) should be done for the day.

Oz managed to nod her head a bit blushing by Bernard's words. Especially the last part. “Sure! I can check Saph later too if you want to see if there is something wrong with him. I…study a little about curses, so I might be able to see if there is something wrong. I must confess it’s not exactly my most focused area in comparison to my medical knowledge, but I can certainly take a look later!”

Oz got a bit better due to Aromatherapy, feeling a bit better. Oz listens to Bern's words, feeling better little by little. She cleaned a bit the tears in her face, which she barely noticed she was beginning to cry and then tell him. “...You are very kind Mr Samsara…I…don’t see myself as a brave person. But…I appreciate the words nonetheless.”

Oz once more listens to the words of Bern, thinking about them, and winces a bit in remembering her past. “...I kinda was used to people telling me about what I should feel and should not feel. So…hear someone tell me such a thing…It’s…nice. And for that, I truly appreciate your kindness Mr Samsara.”

“I still need to face my demons and not be controlled by them…But…little by little, I feel I am slowly winning the battle.”

Oz, when heard those from Bern about losing one thing and maybe having something in return, she takes the Pokeball where Hecate is inside. She looks at her, and a weak smile opens in her face, displacing some of the ocean of sadness and despair she is feeling. She holds it close to her heart, while some tears roll from her eyes. “I think you are right…Thank you Mr Samsara.” She closes her eyes, and opens up the most sincere smile to Bernard. One still filled with sadness and tears, but at the same time with thanks and maybe…hope. Something she sometimes lacks for such a long time she sometimes forgets what is to feel…hope.

Oz trembles a bit when she sees the gauntlet of the Scimitars, but she lets Bernard say what he wants to say. She thinks about it for a few seconds and then finally talks once more. “...Surely, you are not bad Mr Samsara, but…can you say the same of the Scimitars who abused their powers to oppress others? Scimitars as much as some of them brag about becoming “More than human” they are still human. And for that reason, PRONE to greed, wrath, and hunger for absolute power.”

“The lives lost. The families who were ruined. Human and Pokemon lives are lost forever. Or experimented and abused. And…the current state of the world was an indirect consequence of some of those same Scimitars.” She sighs and then looks again at Bernard. “I am not saying you are to blame for Mr Samsara. But…I want you to understand the reason why some people don’t like or trust Scimitars. I know this power the Scimitars carry could be consider a blessing but...” She then looks at the floor and says some words. "What is value of a blessing, if you can might loose a bit of you in exchange by the search of perfection?"

Vernon will just find some time to stop by the cafe and leave a note with management or on a bulletin board saying he's seeking a Cufant. Other than that, he's not interested in availing himself of their other services.

That makes what you pulled off with the pale mother and her twice alive daughter even more absurd; by all standards, you pulled off a true Miracle. One that is likely not to be soon repeated, though at least you know now that combing a Panacea with Nirix's Healing Wish (and perhaps other similar Spells?) exponentially increases the effects....and Strangeness abound! (...)

Extremely rare and just as costy? Bernhard has like pulled off a true Miracle? Heaven forbid, thinking about it causes him to plainly wonder HOW he managed to suceed here, and how he's feeling relatively fine to boot. Still he would not want it otherwise - the Gleams do deserve anything that has happened, deserve a true Miracle having occured, seeing them happy again after everything that has happened is quite a pleasant thought. This whole thing, everything that has happened... Yeah, it is giving him A LOT food for thought. Bernhard also feels like...his Mentor would appreciate to hear about what his most esteeed student has managed to achieve. That is, once we actually have the time to sit down and write a proper letter to him!

Quote:You manage to snag a lil Superb Masterwork Eevee Plushie, so lifelike and cuddly you could imagine it coming to life and trill affectionately for pets and belly rubs! Essentially works as a Poke Doll you can use to distract most Wild Mons, but you can also have a Pokemon that knows Poltergeist or can Possess Objects use the Eevee Plushie in Battle or all sorts of things outside of it! Also raises the gain of Happiness of Fox Mons and Baby Pokemon (as in freshly hatched to 'young' ) by a notable amount! In regards to your Magic...well, Puppeteering Arts was never really a thing with you....but all the same you have heard of Magi managing to actually breathe life into their Creations and/or turn them into Autonomous Artifacts in some manner or another. Especially among the more esoteric Magi practioners or researchers, like with Curses, Spirit/Boundery Magicks, the Fae, or 'Anima' Centric Magicks in general.

Getting a hold of an Eevee is stupidly hard at the best of times, but perhaps with this you could try your hand at making yourself one...?

AAAAAAAAAAAAA Eevee Plushie that is superb and a masterwork.... ٩(>‿<。)۶ Bernhard will accept it with a standard stoic facade and expression, but internally they...happen to like it, find it quite endearing and lovely. He's not going to express that soft side of his though, nope, certainly not and never in public! Having gotten their hands on a real lifelike plushie of that elsusive and super-rare Evolutionmon - alongside the new knowledge of searching Wooded Environments, Jungles, or 'Overabudence' Areas for Mossy Stones Big and Small (not too interested in creating one though, he'd rather leave this for more nature-attuned Magi and is busy enough already) - has brought him closer to the goal of eventually and at some point getting his hands onto an exemplar of these Verdant Pokemon, or so Bernhard feels. He just has to.....find a more esotheric and preferably anima-centric Magus, perferably located on the islands that are the Mageocracy. One step at a time though! (Noted as aother personal sidequest though!)

Zephy is not with us for now, so we cannot utilize her Hidden Power here to bring the plushie temporarly to life to have it play with young Spritzee. But maybe the smol perfumer does appreciate a cuddle companion nevertheless while Bernhard does enjoy the overly-sweet drink and just watches? (Read: Leaving the plushie out on the table, while Spritzee is summoned to play and cuddle with it! He may not be 'freshly hatched', but would still count as 'young' perhaps?)

(This is telepathic communication, right? Among the Gauntlet, Magi Status and being used to telepathic communication with Zephy, me feels my PC DOES pick it up just fine - please do correct me if that is not the case though!)

Bernhard's not going to say anything to that Eeveelution that frankly is able to speak common via telepathy(!!!), but he's also not going to intervene. Nope, they'll give the psychic fox a polite 'Good afternoon to you likewise, precious Espeon' in return to her greeting. Then, he'll just....muster that Eeveelution with quite the interested look - double so upon noticing that a human partner that would technically be needed to become an Espeon is nowhere to be seen. Now THAT fact does spike his curiosity, quite a lot so.

(Spiritmon, I'll get to your post later as I don't quite know what to response towards that yet)

(Yes. Most people have no issues picking it up - doesn’t require anything special for Sylvia to project. Bernard in particular might be able to project thoughts back, similar to Seddi.)

Sylvia gives Bernard a friendly nod. That gauntlet is interesting - no comment made, though.

RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 06-23-2024

Oh, Oz's agreement to see Saph at some point is much appreciated indeed! She does not receive more than an appraising look and a simple "Pleasant to see you agreeing. Your boon and favour will be remembered" though, given that he's here at the Cafe to unwind, come down a little after everything that has occured at the Gleam's house.

She's feeling a little better thanks to the cast Aromatherapy? Good! Bernhard takes note of that, feeling accomplished. They also wave off her thanks for this with a trademarked hand gesture of 'no big deal' and remains a stern look and posture; though it is certainly pleasant to have her call him.. 'very kind' and how she appreciates his words. Other than that, he remains silent, is content with observing Oz and keeping a close eye at his roaming Ninetails and the surroundings.

When he eventually DOES speak up though, he does not say more than "Bravery does come in many faces, and I do stand with my view that you are acting quite brave right here and right now. Do not diminish a success, as 'small' or 'insignificant' it may appear to be. Small steps, one by one, still count and are just that - steps to bring you closer to the desired achievement. Take as much time as needed while taking these steps - and most importantly, do not loose hope. NEVER. Even if you end up alone on your path - hope shall and will guide your forward." In a much more quiet voice: "It did to me, so please do mark my words."

With the tears falling on Oz's side, Bernhard begins to look around, a tad bit nervous and uncertain how to handle things. Not much of a good impression to have the lady he's at the table with crying! Least he can do however is cast another Aromatherapy, both to calm her and - to a degree - his own nerves.

Anything what is said further from the young female's side does remain unanswered for long. For what felt like ages, there's nothing but silence between them only the sounds of the Cafe are echoing back - Oh dear, dear Oz has raised THAT topic, a topic that Bernhard isn't quite fond or happy of. Nope, frankly not. Not that he's displaying that on the outside however, he remains in a self-secure and unreadable posture + expression. As he DOES eventually speak up however, his tone of voice appears to be...well, quite cold. As in, more cold than his usual emotionless tone. "People oppressing others and abusing their powers is nothing new, dear Oz. People have done so, are doing so and will do so forever and ever, this is not something that is restricted to us Magi and Scimitars. In fact, this is simply an aspect of humanity, nothing more and nothing less."

He looks away for short. "It is nothing new to me either that people dislike or trust my people, no. ...Certainly you heard about Chreshire as a whole reviling and heavily distrusting us, have you not? Well, I am..not going to blame them. If they wish to close their eyes and not see our viewpoint and reason for what we have done, so be it then. I am proud to call the Magecracy my home, having found my place there among fellow Magi and Scimitars. History is nothing but that - history. A thing from the past, to learn from - or not." Everything about him here indicates that he is NOT up for a potential discussion of whether or not everything the Scimitars have done to save Chreshire was correct or right. Bernhard sticks with his personal opinion (which he prefers to keep for himself!), regardless of anyone agreeing or not.

This gets answered with a genuine apology from Bern's side - via telepathy. Aside from that, nothing more, since Sylvia has inquired about Oz.

RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Spiritmon - 06-23-2024

@PhantomUnderYourDesk

“Hope, huh?” Oz smiled at those words. Something she thought she had lost a long time ago, but it apparently still burns within her. She didn’t answer Bern's remark, but by her body language, it can be deduced she appreciated those kind words.

Oz thought about Bern’s words for a few seconds, absorbing everything he said. He is clearly not comfortable with that topic, as she imagined. She looks away for a few seconds, and then after a while, she speaks once again. “My grandfather used to raise Ghost and dark types. And my grandmother raised Fairy-types. I helped both of them to take care of Pokemon of BOTH of those types. Complete opposite of each other, and yet so similar. Paradoxal.”

“Like the human heart. I probably had lived a shorter life in comparison to yours Mr Samsara, but…I dare to say I lived long enough and was able to see a lot of humanity…And I see humanity's wretched side. How much humans can be greed, violents, hateful and discriminated against others….But at the same time also capable of bravery, kindness, peace, love and empathetic towards others.”

“Humans are paradoxal beings. Capable of the most hideous acts of evil…But also the greatest acts of kindness and love.”

Oz holds Bernard's hand. “Mr Samsara, my words have no intention to judge the Scimitars, nor you. Good and evil always existed in the human heart, even more the existence of Magi. Humanity always tries to oppress others before magic. Both with Pokemon, magic or any other methods.”

“You are kind and a gentle person Mr Samsara, and I can see that now. You listen to the words of a person you barely know, and help me when I fall into despair. And helped a family to surpass a curse. You are an amazing person Mr Samsara.”

She then looked at the horizon. “I guess…this is what I try to achieve. Be kind and good to other people…Maybe then that way, my sister will feel okay, she knowing I okay.”

(Ahh! Sorry! Didn't see this post! Gonna answer right away!)

Oz eyes widen when she see Sylvia talk. She look at Bern, then Sylvia again.

"I guess today I meeting some Pokemon who can talk it seems. Uhh, good afternoon too? Yes, I been helping the medics yesterday. My name is Oz. And you are?"
