RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 06-25-2024 (06-24-2024, 07:55 AM)Spiritmon Wrote: Oz smiled again and let it go from Bernard's hand. “I almost forgot! You asked me about Fortuna feathers right? Wait for me here for a few seconds. I will soon return to Sylvia and Mr Samsara!” Oz stands up and goes to a place outside of Bernard's presence. She releases Fortuna and then tells her. “Fortuna, can you give me a few feathers? Just to give them to Bernard? I know you have your reservations with him, but so far, he proved to be a good person. But I will not force you if you don't want to.” Fortuna gives the Mage a border-1ine Mean 1oox, before turning her head away, a bit apo1ogetic but sti11 frowning in dismissa1. No, she won't be sharing her feathers with the fe11ow unti1 he's tru1y proven trustworthy and re1iabe. Mere words mean nothing - action and a proper re1ationship mean the wor1d. That, and who xnows if that fou1 witch he is mates with catches wind of said gift and coopts it for her own nebu1ous and horrendous ends? Their is Power that can exp1oited over one if a Magic Practitioner has a body part from someone and the proper xnow-how and 1acx of care over what they can do with their contro1 - both these things that Morgana no doubt qua1ifies for.... RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Dragonstrike - 06-25-2024 (06-24-2024, 04:19 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Seddi will give Kusanagi a long, hard, thoughtful stare. It's not particularly surprising that all of her comments about his more 'average' Swords pertain to how lethal they are. It's clear that the comments are putting them off, though. "Sage advice for Akamu indeed. A blade swung without purpose and commitment will never find its target, and can often cause more harm than good. If you're going to learn, better to do so with intent. And whether it's to harm or kill, know exactly what that intent is before you swing." A difference in philosophies between them perhaps. Or maybe just a difference in goals, seeing as Kusanagi is likely trying to provoke her opponents into trying to kill her. He glances at Ceruledge and Veluza and nods reassuringly. They know his policy. A master of the blade also knows how not to kill with their deadly weapon. Seddi's not above letting his mons inflict Lethal damage if it will help them maintain a necessary edge, but killing is something they only rarely need to do. Seddi could not be prouder of his partners' control, their precision and purpose when they strike. He can always trust them to do what's necessary in a given situation. Even if it means they'll need to kill when a situation calls for it. Because if they need to, they can. Briefly getting back on track with the training though... "Before we begin the sparrin', I have a...trainin' aid of sorts that I'd like to try applyin'. One that I obtained after a great deal of unexpected trouble. Just so we're clear, I am not on friendly terms with the individual this item originally belonged to." He doesn't know exactly how Kusanagi is going to react to this, but better he show her this now so he can explain why he has it. Just in case though, he silently motions to his partners to be ready in case Kusanagi tries something... Leaves was not the only thing Seddi was hiding from her initially. And he can only hope her reaction to this won't be deadly. "Given that we'll be defendin' the people of Bayahama soon, I think it's only appropriate that we seek what aid we can from one who would do the same. They may be dead, but they're not gone. Not entirely." The cowboy has pulled out of his bag the Blue Boa. Kusanagi may not have her sight, but she can likely recognize the item from its aura. Seddi waits in anticipation of Kusanagi's reaction, ready to react, regardless of what that reaction may be... RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 06-25-2024 (06-25-2024, 08:31 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: The old swordswoman huffs at your re-interpretation, but doesn't object to it. Similarly she only scoffs as your - to her - coddling of your Blades. She understands the differences between you, her, your drives, and her own philosophies, and while she finds the lack of 'teeth' to you and your own Partners somewhat irritating and contemptable she does not find much fault with it. Not enough to get riled up, at any rate. "You tread the path of 'deterrence' and 'measured response' , I 'see' . Hmpt....we'll see if you can stay True to such 'nice' ways of handling your Blades, or if the trails you shall face will temper you towards being decisive." Your heavily laden with foreboding message causes the glory otter to perk up, a sharp grin already stretching across her eyeless face. "Oh? Yet another surprise? And one who's mere existence and history makes you so cautious concerning me? Well now..." Your next comment cuts off whatever else she was going to say, her posture stiffening once more as you alluded to them. "....What is the meaning of - " And then the Blue Boa is revealed, and Kusanagi goes still. Loyalty: (6)(6)* [Gotten to know you a bit] + (*6) [???] Tie Disobedience: (3)(4)(6)(4) Tie Then, you find one of one of her blades resting at your throat with a Feather Dance light touch. In less time than it took to blink, Kusanagi had crossed the distance between you two - even as old as she was, the lady could move if she felt the need to. Immediately Ceruledge and Velzuna sprung into action, the former looking incandescently furious and the later nashing their teeth in preparation to tear this old coot a new one.... ...But they are stopped by Leaves, who stood between you and them with her usual unflappable stoicism. She gave them a slow shake of her head, before turning to look at you two with quiet composure and acceptance. After all, she knew that if Kusa wanted to harm him, then they could have done so - or failed the moment She intervened. No, this was... "Explain. Why. You. Have. That , " Kusanagi said, her tone deadly calm, her sightless gaze honed in on your own as she tried to divine your Inner Truths through sheer force of Will and her finely hone intuition and sense. Well. You have a chance to Recover - how will it be? RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Dragonstrike - 06-25-2024 (06-25-2024, 09:20 AM)Lord Windos Wrote: Seddi doesn't flinch or miss a beat. He may not have known exactly how Kusanagi was going to react, but this wasn't far from what he was expecting. And fortunately for her, explaining why he has that boa was exactly what he was going to do anyways. "Had a little accident during a chance encounter with Morgana almost immediately after I arrived here. I requested she give me this as part of her apology. She knows I have Leaves. And she knows what I saw and experienced when we made contact, however briefly. Call it twisted if you will, but she almost seemed to find giving her accessory to me amusing. I do still think the young colt is better off in hands that aren't hers, knowing what she did to him. That isn't going to be a moment I soon forget. Especially since it nearly killed me." He'll glance at his trio of pokemon, knowing exactly what they'll do if any harm comes to him. "Now, if you'd kindly lower your blade. Nobody here needs to be enemies." And he highly doubts that Kusanagi would want to meet an unceremonious end here. RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Redstone - 06-25-2024 He would stand his ground when Kusanagi 'inspected' him, not moving back an inch. The otter could call him what she wanted, however true it may be, but trying to run/cower from it would only make it worse. Just what did he get himself into here. Get lucky while digging through some trash and now sutalör's whole aresenal of sword masters were after him to judge, guess he got to take this all a little more seriously after all. Seriously indeed. What would *she* think seeing him like that, giving up before even trying and goofing around. Shatter the thought and get your eyes on the goal. If he could get the little cat to drop the lethality on command she? could prove to be very useful + she? was still quite young and impressionable. 2 options, 1 idea. He'd contemplate some more while watching the introduction unfold. He'd focus at the reveal of the Blue Boa. He might not be familliar with it himself but from what he saw a few days ago and the otter's reaction it seemed to be an item of grand importance. Things were bound to get very interesting. Sylvia immediately dips into a deep bow upon Myra's spinning about, both a friendly and submissive stance. She only rises, and slowly, when Myra speaks. "My deepest apologies. I understand." Sylvia retracts her psychic powers, curling them into herself to avoid touching Myra again. Rejection: "Of course. Sorry to bother you." Sylvia will release her power just enough to get across her feelings of apology, respect, and admiration as she retreats. Not projected - simply floated. If Myra wants to pick up on them, great - if not, no harm no foul. (06-25-2024, 05:26 AM)Lord Windos Wrote:(06-24-2024, 06:55 AM)Pokekitty2 Wrote: Cool! We'll take the book with us for Foxy Delights! "Good afternoon." Sylvia enters, setting the book on the edge of the tea table and turning to look fully at the Flareon with a posture of greeting. If at all possible, she'll try to 'flatten' her Psychic noise as a way to project calmness - hopefully it helps him. You do have to keep a close eye on them to prevent the lil' perfumer from escaping your table and curiously explore that place and all those FASCINATING smells, but seeing their pure joy is well worth it. That brings up an idea: Can we have Spritzee intake the aroma of the Super Sweet Fairy Delight Bernhard has ordered, to have Spritzee later create a magic-infused perfume that is just as sweet in terms of smell? With the drink having a positive effect on our magic, maybe the perfum might have too. If not, it's going to be used for SPE-based craftings! Damn that witch. Damn those demons. Damn them all." Kusanagi spits to the side, a terrible scowl now in place, so severe that it stretched and distorted her scars. "....Damn that brat for dying. Always suspected he stayed and fought until the bitter, instead of running like he was supposed to. Now I got proof. Heh....well, it's not like I'm any better now. Not. At. All." She lets out a long, horrible laugh, so filled with bitterness that you almost miss the Pain underlying it. Your mistress of the flames and dagger fish tensed further, looking about ready to disregard Leaves and jump right in, but again your Verdant Sword held them off, stamping a Foot and firmly shaking her head. "....Feh." The old swordswoman withdrew her blade, her face becoming unreadable as she loomed over you like a judge executing their verdict. "....The remnants of the brat. The 'lineage' of the bitch. And my technique from the bastard. *Grim Chuckles* All's left is the brute, and you'd have the full set on your hands. Ha....and here I thought Fate had forsaken me long ago. No, that sorry cunt has just been Biding her time until she could send you my way. A young novice of a Master of Swords, up to his own neck in woe. Two paths, different yet similar, made One, True and Heart. Heh...just like in the old tales. Hilarious. "....I'm done. Don't bother me until it's time for that Fight you promised." Without another word she Recalled herself, flicking the button on her Ball and disengaging entirely. Cerluedge and Velzuna quickly settled down, and with a nod from Iron Leaves they hurried past her to crowd around you, checking to see if you're alright. Your fishie even goes so far as to offer some of its Fillets to cheer you up, while your spectral wraith glowered angrily at the sheer gall of that old coot. Threatening their Master right in front of them all, after they made an effort to be nice? Unforgivable. If they pull that shit again she'll cleave through them and Curse their immortal soul, binding it to the earth so it may never know rest....! The only one that seemed entirely unbothered by the events were your Paradox Sword, who observed things quietly before looking off to the side, a eyes filled with contemplation. About what, you don't know - their is plenty to dwell on in this little near deadly exchange. All's well that ends well? They could indeed do that! Whether it has any Mechanical benefits or not is another matter entirely - that'd probably require some Alchemic work on your part and more than a little Will and flexibility of Spritzee's. Still, the perfume would smell real good at least! Your attempts to send your feeling across is meet with a figurative Iron Defense that completely rebuffs them, not letting them pass into Myra in the slightest. Too have such considerable mental and emotional fortifications in place....it spoke of a great deal of disdain, paranoia, and perhaps even fear of any form of Psychic or mental influences. Just what caused this beautiful fox to close herself off so thoroughly like that and regard you 'kind' with such automatic hostility and distrust...? ~~~~ "AH!" The Flareon jumps from their perch, looking around wildly before their gaze rested on you, where upon it widened as they stared at you with confused awe and deep curiosity. "An Espeon...? Wait....are you my first customer? Then that's....!" He quickly darts over to you, giving you a human-like bow while also displaying the Eeveelution equivalent of 'nervous but eager greetings' in terms of body language. "Hello, dear guest. My name is Boosta, and I'll be you companion this evening. Please, allow me..." They make to fill you a glass of tea with some great finese, not spilling a drop as they handed it to you. Their entire body was filled with anxious yet excited energy, and their emotions were much the same. "Now....what brings you....here today, mam?
