I just want to throw out ideas for people to use and improve on, so I am fine leaving my work as a testament to history. Still, I can refrain from posting anymore guides, until further notice, if that helps... Do you liek the names of the sets and my guides too then? :C RE: Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 10-12-2016 (10-12-2016, 09:38 AM)Reeveelution Wrote:(10-12-2016, 09:16 AM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote:(10-11-2016, 12:24 AM)Lord Windos Wrote: I probably won't redo my guides, and leave that task to others who will want to do so. I try to give a little flair to them, rather than just leave them place 'Special Attacker' or 'SubPunch', but I always include the plain description anyway~. I think I'll wait until the next update as well. I need a break from writing the guides, or I will burn out on them. Given that I still have a little list to do before I quit, that would be a depressing end to the series.... That's totally fine, noone said that there's a reason to write guides (or RPs) in a rush, actually XD Noone FORCES one to write them, it's a personal decision anyway. But if it's fun, provides some personal satisfaction and there's some background knowledge, - or, simply said, AN IDEA behind a specific set - why not? RE: Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans - Cataclyptic - 11-06-2016 When will the meta settle enough to write guides about? RE: Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans - Lord Windos - 11-09-2016 When online battling is stabilized enough that heir is minimal/no problems while fighting other people. Adding a feature to randomly battle other people while they are searching for a fight would be a neat feature as well. In addition, having a mode for Uranium only Pokémon in Pokémon Showdown would also greatly aid in creating the meta scene. That, and adding all those missing moves (Defog and Rapid Spin) is kinda important thing to do first, before seriously setting the groundwork for everything. RE: Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans - Cataclyptic - 11-09-2016 @LordWindos , good point. On another note, I am seriously considering just banning all nuclear pokemon from the metagame. After some battling, it's becoming apparent that nuclear types and moves are so based in speed that the game isn't too fun playing against or with them. As, someone said (Dragonstrike?) it all depends on who's faster and nothing else- which in my opinion defeats the purpose of pokemon, which should rely on versatility and skill. RE: Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans - Lord Windos - 11-10-2016 Banning all Nuclear Pokémon is like throwing away a steak because some parts were rare instead of well done. Sure, you get rid of the problem Pokémon and are able to enjoy the rest of your meal, but you are wasting so much in the process just by Quickbanning them all. In a game called Pokémon Uranium, it would at least make some sense if, after testing, some were allowed in non-uber brackets. We can agree to disagree on the subject, of course, if you have a different mind on the matter. RE: Analysis Compendium and Tiering Plans - Spiritmon - 12-14-2016 No Baariette guide
