RE: [Game Thread] Lord Windos’ PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Iron - 07-27-2024
Vernon deploys his sled and places three meals spaced out on the sled. Each meal is two Oran Berries and a Gourmet Food - exactly the same amount of each. There's a little extra space between the meal for the left head and the next one.
Whistling a tune ("Eye of the Flager"), Vernon ambles into the room (not trying to go for stealth, obviously) and presents the tray as if he were a butler. Assuming Dodrio is awake at this point, Vernon is just going to lock eyes with each of the edge-heads in turn (skipping middle). Vernon's body language says he would never back down from this challenge. Even if Dodrio were to lunge, he won't flinch. It's one piece of the camo-man's advice he's not taking - he's not ready to run. He has a separate plan if things go wrong.
"Hi, Dodrio. Sorry they've got you all pent up in here. I know what cabin fever is like - My name is Vernon, and I get antsy if I have to stay in one place too long. Sitting in a chair for half an hour, sleeping in the same bed a few nights in a row, taking the same path home from work... I don't vibe with any of that."
He points to his shoes. He's wearing his travel-worn shoes and outfit, their soles worn nearly smooth and with little holes in them. Munchlax of course has the boots.
"I'm a big traveler. I imagine you're a big runner? Most Dodrio are. Well, I *love* to work with fast Pokemon or far-traveling Pokemon. I was just surfing through the streets on a Lotad this morning! If you and I were buds, I'd enter you in every race, and if none were available, we'd invent our own! So that's the proposal I have."
"Join me in my journey, and I'll train you to race. I'll get you out of here and into a world where you have plenty of time to run every day. The food is yours either way."
Vernon has a hand on one of the Pokeballs on his belt. His other hand holds an empty Pokeball.

Damn…” She released her Pokemon, including the new members of her team Bethany and Dite, since they look both exhausted and a bit hurt from yesterday's training (1 exhaustion and 1 pain for the both of them). She checks her phone seeing the messages, with a worried face. She sighs and then takes a look at her Pokemon. “Girls, we're gonna have a long day. We're gonna go to Tiffany Koffee shop. We must do our mission to help adopt Meza as quickly as possible. We must be careful though since John, the leader of the BB’s still is not appreend yet. He’s probably going to try again to ambush us, so we must be always on high alert just in case he tries something again. Be ready to go outside of the Pokeball Fortuna in case that guy tries that again.”
Oz will also check the wounds of Dite and Bethy, and see if she can do something about it with her knowledge about medicine. Maybe it can work in this case, despite her stress? I don’t know if Oz can try to make that energy drink she made in the previous days she make for the medics when she worked with Doctor Peace.
Regardless if she can do those things or not, she try to get some protection for today's weather, and follows the path towards the Koffee shop, but always double checking her surroundings to not be ambushed by John and his BB’s again.
Neither Persaphone nor Hecate want to get out of their Balls, so utterly drained from the Fight that they want to sleep in until the very moment they're forced to Act. Fortuna, on the other hand, comes forth with almost insulting ease, looking remarkably well rested despite everyone else being distinctly not. It a bit of an 'acquired' quirk of theirs to quickly rebound and adapt to virtually everything, something she picked up over the years as you two traveled the Regions and endured many a tall tale and exciting event.
Bethany, on the other hand, appeared with DRAMA, flopping onto your bed face first and letting out an agnoized groan, their form this time being that of a Nurse Joy that appeared to have one too many late nights.
"Uggggggh. Wwwwwhyyy can't you let me sleeeeeep in? Why can't we aaaaalllll sleeeeep in? Mom can handle the shop fiiiiiine , and I don't waaant to get soaked."
Dite isn't in much better condition, letting out a pitiful whine and collasping on the spot, looking at you imploringly to please spare it further hardship for the day. She willing to Toughen up, since like almost all Pokemon she Wishes to grow stronger, but not when she is like this. Have mercy, please....!
Their is not much you can do about Exhaustion without Ethers, Leppas, or (if you're feeling pricey) Elixirs or deluxe Sports/Health Drinks, all of which you are conspicuously abscent on your person. Well, you have a Lemonade, but that alone ain't going to cut it for the amount of punishment those two foxes are bellyaching about. You could try a Medicine Roll to see if could find some way to soothe or relax them, but failing it is likely to only compound their existing issues.
If you're going to be on High Alert and Cautious we'll do some Alert Rolls to see if you pick up anything suspicious or dangerous while en route to the Koffee Shop; this WILL tack on a Time Penalty, but that's the price of soundness of mind and readiness for Action in this weather. As for handling the weather, you know a route to the shop that helps keep out of the rain for the most part; couple that with a Lucky Chant, Tailwind, and some spellwork from Persaphone and getting there unharmed or unhindered is relatively easy. Still drenched, but easy!

Your attendant raises an eyebrow at your Bold decision, but simply chuckles and shakes his head before unlocking the door to the Big Dodrio's Room.
"Going for force of personality? Maybe that'll work. Best Wishes, mate."
The ostritch of bigger-than-usual proportions immediately scrambles to her feet as you made your slightly bombastic entrance, the left head looking rather irate, the middle cautious, and the right one....still snoozing by the looks of it. Until the middle one Pecks them awake, which causes them to spazz out for a second before they look at you with mystification.
Threat?
Danger?
Pre - Wait, food!
They notice the smorgous board you've prepared, and rush forward before the middle head freezes just in range for them to reach you, causing the rest of the body to halt. The reason? Your posture: it screamed 'I'm not in Danger, but I can become Dangerous if you make me.' The three heads size you up for a moment...
Intimidations vs Will Roll!
STR (3) + *Fight (3) + Intimidate (1)
(5)(6)(2) (3)(5)(2) (3) 3 Successes
Will: 8 - 2 (FOOD, Bold Entrance Making the Cautious)
(1)(5)(6) (5)(2)(4) 4 Successes...
Rolling Fortune: *Rolls* Well shit but alright? 4411
...Before the left head lets out an angry 'CAW!' , infuriated by the sheer gall of you trying to pretend you're mightier than she is without proving yourself! The other two heads, however, seem to be of differing opinions: the middle one skeptical and on the fence, while the right one appeared to buy what you're selling and looked eager to get a nicer breakfast this morning.
You barely can finish your first paragraph before the left head reared back, their beak glowing with energy: they're preparing to Attack you....
INS + Survival + Alert
(1)(5)(5)(3) (3)(5)(3)(5) 4 Successes
...and you immediately are able to pick up a couple of things. One, the rest of the heads don't seem to be all too thrilled about 'attacking first, ask questions MAYBE' without much more to go on, which is causing the left head to unconsciously Hold Back juuuust a little. Two, the other heads are carefully observing you now: you are easily able to discern they're using their 'sister's' RAGE induced Attack as a sort of 'Litmus Test' to see if you're all talk or someone they actually have to take seriously.
One way to do it is Tank the Attack and Roll with the metaphorical Punches to try and impress them that way, but another way is try to execute some sort of maneuver to avoid the damage without looking 'weak' . Or maybe focus only on dealing with the head that has a problem with you, if you want to risk a more 'dominate' way of proving yourself while sparring your squishy body harm.
Many more Actions are possible; the above are just the ones that spring readily to mind, based on previous experience with big birds and Mons with attitude problems.

She has zero remorse for the harm she caused; you earnt it in her eyes! Honestly, not leading with a Dance to woo your partner and open them up to you...how dense can you be?
Then she takes a sniff and wrinkles her nose, before scowling. She gives you a look, before pointing to where the bathroom is. The message is clear: clean yourself up, so I don't have to bear that scent.
Mental Training and Teaching Tactics and Strategy? Excellent Idea! Kayla (who is able to fit in the spacious living room without trouble, much to both your delight) looks especially intrigued, but Ecclesia seems dismissive and simply lays down to nap. Lani doesn't seem terribly interested, but she simply nods to your idea, recognizing the wisdom of the Training even if it Clashes against part of her Instincts. Nalu is just happy to be included! The Bio Fang...well, I presume you make them remain in their Ball for the time being; still need to decide if you're going to send them off to the Professor soon or not!
All that said, everyone but Ecclessia will participate in the Training willingly; if you're okay with this then confirm it, but otherwise state what else you want to do leading up and into said Teaching.
The Fang will stay in their Ball, with the professor getting a message asking about when to bring them in for inspection.
Stubborn as usual huh, she may not want to listen but that will not save her from passive agressive stabs about her disposition throughout the lecture. He smiles at Kayla's intrigue, might as well get her some support moves to try out herself later.
If he can find some paper and a pen lying around that would make things easier to understand. The visual aspect is not to be underestimated.
Ready to begin.

Yeah, he does enjoy this place. Thank you, being a Scimitar of high ranks and political importance! Maybe the latter isn't as much of a mild inconvenience as they always claim it to be.
Drowsy Zephy is, as much as Bernhard is reluctant to openly admit, incredibly adorable to see. So much that he lets the artsy birdmouse that is his destinied partner get away with taking us his bed without asking first. ...And gently nuzzle her cheek with one hand, none's around to see that open display of affection anway plus she deserves it after having done marvelous during Ianai's test yesterday without exhausting herself like Nirix and Spritzee did. "That's pleasant to hear, truely and utterly so, dear Zephy. Sounds to me like Saph is doing well after all that happened, and now proceeds to savor being gifted a second chance of roaming the living world." Bernhard does not mention it, but Zephy speaking about 'Ghost friends she made' sounds a tad bit worrying to him - but on the other side, if she sees them as her friends and they do so likewise, it should be just fine, or shouldn't it?
He waves off Zephy having had to cut off time to paint. "Oh, that is of no issue. Do not rush perfection, and rest assured that we will pay the Gleams another visit or visits for several reasons. *glances at the hurricane outside* Maybe not too soon, but soon enough. Wish to speak with them, inquire about things while you may continue to paint..." Bernhard's modest and humble of calling what occured 'a miracle' like Zephy does, even if it does rightfully count as one in his books. One that will be fondly and proudly remembered, as costy as it was on his side, and one that gives him quite the food for thought still (and quite likely continues to do so for a while).
'Kings ransom'? Yes please, gimme! Sweet loot, yay! They (the Gleams) may take any time they need and be as secretive about as needed, and Bernhard will humblly accept it with open arms.
Myra, our trusty and affectionate kitsune, being in high spirits after anything that occured yesterday is very pleasant to see indeed. Bernhard will redirect her attention back to her Master and Wielder whenever she gets startled or distracted by the thunder and splattering rain outside. "You doing quite well? How dear and utmost pleasant to see. *gently petting her neckfur* Now then, do listen closely now..."
Here's what we'll do, in that order. If anything of it needs to get rolled, go for it, if anything is downright impossible or doable only with notable negative consequences, please do tell and I'll edit accordingly:
- Cut off a tad bit of her fur, bonus points if it is one of her tail's fur. Not too much but more than just one or two hairs, in total to gain at least one unit of clipped off Ninetales Fur.
- Applying utmost care and caution, make a tiny prick or cut to one of her foreleg's cephalic vein to draw a bit of blood from her leaking gently in a trinckle. Think taking a blood sample vets and doctors do, but on a more 'amateur's' approach. Enough to receive a small vial full = 1 unit of Ninetales Blood, not enough for her to suffer dire negative effects (bar potentially discomfort of mild pain). Have our other Pokemon help if needed (for example have Zephy cool Myra's foreleg with her ice skills, cast Protect from exhausted Spritzee over Myra via Evocation).
- Patch up the wound, as best as a Bernhard can. If not safely possible for him, say that he'll bring her to Oz to do so professionally.
- If needed, cast a Heal Pulse from exhausted Nirix or Aromaterhapy from exhausted Spritzee to dispell any pain or discomfort of Myra.
- Ask Myra to 'imbude' or 'infuse' the fur clippings and blood with some of her psychic powers or affinity to the spectral world in any way she can and is willing to do. Bonus Points if making use of her held Spell Tag. Bernhard can and will aid her on doing so if requested.
- Reward her thoroughly for having allowed and endured it all with whatever she desires - pets, treats, cuddles (which Bernhard somewhat begrudingly allows), the promise of a battle for her, another visit to the foxy Cafe, downtime etc. Thank her greatly so, and let her know what he plans to do with the gained Items if she wishes to know.
Sell it on the Black Market once we visit it.
I need to stock up on cash to properly buy enough Healing Items for the fateful fight against the Wandering Hurricane and for the first bit of the journey through Sutalör ahead. Bonus points for making use of the x1.5 mod on earning money.
The benefits are indeed nice, but in exchange you're one of the three leading members of your Faction responsible for representing and advocating them, and at time being forced to act as a Judiciary and Governing Official if need be. Combine that with all the work and stress that comes with being a part of the Scimitar Council and you get more than a mere inconvenience when it comes to managing the workload between all your other competing interests (and in the case of Morgana that's all too literal). Still, you've managed it quite well despite being a relatively young Magi; something your Mentor hold no small amount of pride and satisfaction over.
Your fond pets gets you a sleepy bat of the paw from the artistic muse, but the fond smile she has isn't fooling anyone here at how much she enjoys it.
" 'K.....wasn't going to anyway, but if you insist then I guess I must let my ever fluttering whismy rest for once, te he~! Perhaps the break will give me time to dream up of an even better way to complete my latest great work! *Yawns* Since I don't think you'll be needing my undivided attention for whatcha ever doing, I'll be dozing for a bit. Feel free to use my Power if ya need it though - you know I'm used to giving it no matter what by now."
That said your Partner immediately conks out, snoring cutely on your pillow as she curls up. Daw....
Contrary to your expectations - or perhaps not at all, since you are a Moderate Scimitar - your fanciful kitsune has zero concerns or reservations about you Extracting Magical Materials from her. If fact she's eager for it; seeing Nirix and rarely Zephy provide such has kindled a passion to 'give a part of herself' too for your benefit, no matter what purpose it may be for. You've given her the world, after all; the least she can do is share as much as she can.
For the Harvesting: Fox Fur and Blood, I'll be doing a few Rolls. One Grooming Roll for the Fur, One Medical Roll for the Blood - and further Rolls depending on how that one goes - and one Channel Roll focused on Myra's Stats for her to attempt to Imbue the Fur and Blood with MORE of her POWER and ESSENSE. Here goes!
Grooming Roll!
DEX + Knowledge + Crafts - 3 (Have to be Careful...)
(6)(2)(1)(6) (3)(2)(6)(5) 4 Successes!
You Successfully are able to obtain 2 Units of Fox Fur from Myra! She writhed a bit as you sniped her tails, but with intense focus and determination on her part she remained still, refusing to bend to her instincts to lash out at them being 'damaged' .
Blood Extraction Roll!
INS + Knowledge + Medicine - 5 (A Doctor, you are not...) ; 2 Successes needed for the minimum positive outcome
(2)(4)(3)(5) 2 Successes!
You Successfully are able to obtain 1 Unit of Pure Fox Blood; Myra takes 2 Damage from the procedure, however. It isn't Lethal, so simply wrapping it with some bandages and some rest should she her fit by the next Encounter, if a touch more tired from the blood loss. Bit messy, but she simply licks it clear from your hands and a bit of magic cleaning does the rest.
Infusing Roll: Myra!
SPE + Knowledge + Channel + 1 (Spell Tag) + 1 (Magical Species/Magi's Mon) - 6 (Tired from Blood Loss + Inexperience)
(3)(5)(4) (1) 2 Successes....
*Rolls* Hmm...not good.
*Rolls* Well. That changes things.
*Rolls + ??? + ???* Success.
At first it seems like her attempts to further empower her 'products' were about to fizzle out, but she suddenly grit and bore her teeth as her eyes took on a deep fuchsia glow, her tails rising up and wreathed with ethereal power as she concentration on the Items. They glowed for a moment before the light dispelled, leaving before you a couple of bundles of woven, braided dark ruddy red fur, faint wisps of heat and affirmation whifting off it. Fur and Blood lost: 2 Units of Kitsune's Crimson Rope.
...And Myra promptly collapses, losing 3 Will and Fainting with her half her current HP in the process, the stress of forcing a truly Positive and Successful outcome by herself taking its toll.
You suspect that it's due to both her inexperience and 'newness' of being a Ninetales, but also because she tried to Imbue everything at once rather than doing one at a time, and her drive to not mess up on her first 'offering' to you. Something you would account for in your own Alchemic Creations and Research, but for a Mon that was not ever trained or naturally inclined in such things? One who's devotion is so ardent, who doesn't ever want to fail you? Oh dear.
Lesson learnt: if you're going to have your Mons do a job you typically do, be absolutely clear on what they should do and what limits they have.
Kitsune's Crimson Rope: The blessed and empowered hair of a magical fox, woven into tight braids and dye a deep red. It shines faintly in the light, and gives off a mild heat that is both warming and comforting. Rare Magical Creation; it's uses are many, but using it in clothing to create powerful protective Enchantments or as a potent ingredient to refine other Ritual or Alchemic Creations would be the most desired by your estimation. Price: Unknown, but High.
"...Sleep safely and soundly then, dear Zephy. You do deserve to rest up more than anything before the day fully unfolds and promises to be eventful once more..." Not a single soul is around do see it + Zephy catching some Z's is an incredibly adorable view, so Bernhard allows his mindfully-concealed soft & tender side come forward by gently tucking Zephy in with the blanket and giving her another nuzzle with one hand („• ᴗ •„) Almost immediately Bernhard mind scolds him for this action - 'You fool, since when are you such an affectionate softie?! Mind your self-composure, WILL YOU!' - which he does best to ignore however (still causes some embarassment for having get his emotions the better of him). Oh to be a mythical and magical birdmouse sleeping in a soft bed that's several times bigger than she is without a care in the world, safe from the storm outside...~ We'll also cast some minor Spell to shield the bed/sleeping Zephy from any noise reaching her to not disturb her rest. ('minor' because it's been utilized several times already when working on something highly finicky that requires utmost concentration, or discussing some strictly confidential things with business partners - or so I guess, at least.)
...ENOUGH of sappy things, back to BUSINESS!
Hah, now anything with Myra went off without any trouble indeed! Utmost care and caution is used when snipping some fur off her tail/tails, and with great awe Bernhard watches as Myra proceeds to imbude the obtained Items with her powers. He's alarmed upon Myra collapsing from the whole process, and quick to intercept/catch her fall to prevent her from hurting herself even more. A proud smile is given to her as Bern gently holds his foxy-partner's head and neck in his arms, regardless whether she can see it due to being fainted with half HP. "...Outstanding. Truly oustanding what you have pulled off here..." *glances at the the TWO(!) units of Kitsune's Crimson Rope* "My genuine and heartfelt gratitude for having, well, 'given a part of yourself' to me. For the first time also notably, you have done MORE than SPLENDID. Such devotion, not wanting to fail me and even willing to overstress yourself ...How extraordinairly lucky I am to call you one of my magical partners. A good use of it I will make of your offerings for sure, yes... For now, please do rest up, I will have you treated in a PKMn Center later on properly, once we DO step outside at last." Aaand Myra's recalled.
Still seeing such devotion from Myra does not come with a flip side - Bernhard can see something like this (her overstressing herself) happening again if he doesn't teach her to restrict herself accordingly. Or if he does not give absolutely clear instructions. ...Or both, definitely both, yes. Well, that's something to be worked on while traveling perhaps; Myra is still new to being a Ninetales perhaps, that too.
As for the Kitsune's Crimson Rope itself: With great pleasure it is picked up and observed from all sides, taking pleasant note of the deep red color, its faint shine and mild heat. Quite a valuable and rare Ingredient/Creation, no doubt will Bernhard find a buyer for it he feels. ...However he's quite tempted to keep one unit for himself, heck knows when and whether he gets to make good use of it in future creations. We'll decide on that on the whim.
That concludes Bernhard's Encounter No.1 of the Day! To pass the time until Darren stops by, he'll do the following few things:
1. Write another letter to his Mentor, once more on the finest parchment paper, in the blackest ink there is, and using an expensive looking fountain pen made of a Pidgeot-feather. It gets brought downstairs to the Embassy's reception to be delivered as soon as possible; and it reads the following:
Quote:Genuine greetings and praise to you Acrowls, Magus Supreme and mentor of mine during my early years as a member of the Scimitars.
Please do excuse me for sending you this second letter in short notice, for I am aware that you are occupied enough with keeping everything on the islands that are the Mageocracy in check. Speaking about that, I value and appreciate the no doubt hard work you are putting and continue to put into it, and am pleased to call these islands my home.
The reasons for why I am writing you... I wish to share with you a very recent success of mine, one that I hope will make you proud of me. Me, who you have invested a great amount of time and effort by personally training me on Magics, and who you throughouly tutored in the Scimitar way of life. A request to help a man in despair and distress given, I have created something I normally could not make with my current level of expertise in Alchemy. What has occured during the brewing process can be called a miracle, a gift from heaven, a divine happening that fortune has made possible. I have managed to brew what many practitioners of alchemy pursue, though what most find to be simply a myth.
I am speaking of the Panacea, the remedy that is said to cure all diseases and prolong life indefinitely. No, I am not lying; and yes, I can barely believe it myself. Yet I have a very limited amount of it in my posession, still it is the utter truth, there is no denying it.
The details of it I prefer to, if you wish to know more, lay out to you in private, whenever we happen to have the pleasure to meet and speak in person. For now, I need to properly rest as the brewing process took quite the toll on me. Costy is has been no doubt, the consequences I faced were hard and my exhaustion afterwards as wide as the ocean. And yet, I do feel utterly accomplished and pleased of having suceeded.
Do take care, there's a hurricane blowing over the city of Bayhama currently.
Signed, Bernhard Samsara, your former apprentice and nowadays Master Sky Scimitar, Council Member for that Fraction and Wielder of the mythical Pokemon Zephy.
-----------------------
2. Send a note/letter/word/message/whatever works best to Morgana - yes indeed, you read that right. After everything; that suprise-visit of her at the Gleam's house - in hindsight, Bern's highly suprised and just as thankful that he did NOT get anime-styled nosebleeds from her having wanted to 'suprise' him! - with lovely Spritzee around and out of his Friend Ball to provide some calm company and pleasant aroma, Bernhard's exhaustion from the test yesterday, Zephy sleeping all soundly, the storm and Darren about to visit him in a bit = better not leave the room at the Magi Embassy... Combine all of that, he does allow himself to carefully(!) reach out to her, reluctant and not without some mild embarrassment however. AND not without some business-related reason however, nope!
Note/letter/word/message/whatever works best reads the following - note how it's a bit less formal that the letter to Acrowls, but still polite and non-nonsense overall.
Quote:Greetings and a good morning to you, my fae and fair lady ~.
No, this is NO request to see you. ...'Not right away', that is - I have a business partner stop by in a bit and am incredibly exhausted, so please do spare me a personal visit just now, I doubt I'd take it well for multiple reasons currently. I'm free later this day however [read: after Encounter No.3], then I'll happily meet up with you. I do desire to talk to you, inquire about something indeed. I will contact you once I'm free and available for you. Please also have your fairy-kin available - as well as your private quarters for some shared togetherness~ overnight please; I am not going to break my word [of avoiding the Isle of Magi for a week] to you and risk getting caught up in whatever 'ploys for many Magi' you have in store.
...Either way, that is that and now is now. Little Spritze is doing just fine, he appears overjoyed over having me as his new Master and Wielder. He has proven to be quite capable indeed, as expected for it to be. I have yet to test and try out his special skills and unique talents fully and utterly [read: using Spellbound and look for gemstones with Spritzee's help], but him proving to be an utterly able and skillful magical partner is without a doubt - I would have not expected anything less from YOU, my dear and fancyful lady, however. You do deserve the world and everything I can give you for a deal carried out just splendidly.
There's quite the storm raging through the city, a miniature hurricane to be specific. I do hope that you are safe and sound, I myself will display utmost caution once stepping outside.
Please do take care of yourself, though I do know how capable you are. *heavily scribbled-over and crossed-out thing, obviously having made quiiiite the effort to render it unreadable* [It would read a simple 'love you' that just appeared on the paper due to utter exhaustion and daydreaming, muuuuch to Bern's embarassment and anger at himself]
It too is delivered as soon as possible; not without some looming dread over she taking it as an invitation still. Once more Bernhard's mind scolds him heavily for having fallen for sweet traps and beguiling words of her, that goes without saying - while a small and timid voice in his mind reminds him that this plus 'Morgana being Morgana' suits him just fine and it is all worth it. Humm~
-----------------------
3. Drink more black tea with too much cream and sugar and observe the weather outside from the window. Burn and smoke one or two incense sticks of Lemongrass too. Bernhard takes some quiet pleasure in doing so, seeing that storm 'only' as an inconvenience that he has to work with than as something that hinders him from stepping outside still.
-----------------------
4. Send a message to Seddi to inquire about something. Something that Bernhard aimed to do yesterday after the test already, but it must have slipped his mind or there was no time or the right opportunity to do so.
It would read the following:
Quote:Greetings and a good morning to you on this stormy day, Seddi.
Please do allow me ask you a question, something that should not be forgotten nor neglected in order to make it 'official', so to say.
Say, do I need to...handle or sign any papers concerning the upcoming warding off of the Wandering Hurricane? An important agreemnt like THIS would not come without any paperwork from either side, I feel. Least to have physical proof shall there be any legal issues.
I will not sign anything unless being given proof that the promised Philosopher's Stone is a real and pure exemplar, so expect me to ask the other side to provide it.
Do take extra-care if you happen to step outside today.

Vernon has a hand on one of the Pokeballs on his belt. His other hand holds an empty Pokeball.
You barely can finish your first paragraph before the left head reared back, their beak glowing with energy: they're preparing to Attack you....
Vernon only moves about an inch - enough to tap the Pokeball on his belt, an easy tap 'cause he already had that hand at his hip.
Immediately the viewing window is filled with a close-up view of water-logged scales, scraping against the glass as some kind of colossal creature fills the room like a bomb going off. The attendant's view of Dodrio and Vernon is entirely eclipsed.
Without needing to move, it already surrounds the walls and the Dodrio just with its bulk, making escape or maneuvering impossible. And a loop of its tail dangles in front of Dodrio's angry head - so tough, bulky, and scale-armored that tanking the attack won't make the massive creature flinch either. The summoned Pokemon will NOT attack.
In the aftermath of whatever Dodrio does with its attack in response, Vernon says to the calm two heads: "Finish your meals; I'll handle this. Left head, do we have a problem here?"

Oz understands the situation of her sisters. She picked up Dite and gave the fox Pokemon a little pat on her head, while giving Beth a pat on her back. “I understand. Truly. I still beat up from yesterday. However, I did promise your mom I would come everyday to see Meza and help in the Koffee to get help in adopting Meza. Besides, she is short on staff to help take care of the shop.”
She looks at the window. “And…well, I still worry about the possibility of John being still out there, since the police sent me a message telling me they couldn’t get John or his BBs.” At this point of the campaign, Oz already explained to both Dite and Beth about her ambush with John, his BBs and the reasons why they came after her. She however didn’t explain “how” she escaped then. “I'm pretty sure in this weather John could try something again as an act of revenge. That's why I prefer we go as much faster as we can while keeping a state of high alert.”
Oz then sat in the bed, and gave Dite another pat on her head, to try to soothe her worries. “I promise to make up for the both of you when we reach the coffee shop. I will buy some good drinks for you girls. Promise.” Oz holds Beth's hands, as a reaffirmation of her promise.
As for the medicine roll…I am pretty tempted to try. Even with the exhaustion level, my total dice roll still is 11D6 (Insight 4+Knowledge 4+Medicine 4-Exhaustion 1). I am pretty much confident I could try something but I would like to know how much success I would need to have to not make things WORSE?
And the Alert rolls? Yes please. After getting ambushed by something from the previous day, I will be extra careful to not be ambushed AGAIN by John and his BBs. Oz will of course send a message to Tiffany to tell her she will meet her in a while since she will be extra careful in the walk towards the shop.
Oz also send to Seddi, Bern and everyone:
Hey people! Oz here! I going to Koffee shop right now to do some work there! I will explain later. I will be fearful about the BBs doing something, but if things happen again, I will send a short message saying something like. “BBs here. Find me at [Insert Location].” It will be better just in case something happens like that again.
After that, she prepare a quick lunch for her and her sisters, and hopeful sumon Persephone, Hecate and Fortuna, and using a combination of Tailwind, Lucky Chant and a spellwork of Hecate, she follow the path she knows to the shop and start her work day at Koffee shop!

(An additional thing I meant to do with Myra, but have completely forgotten about until just now, my bad! Since there's no update yet, I'd guess it's fine to throw it into things? It'd happen right in between these two actions [quoting myself]:
Quote:(...)Myra, our trusty and affectionate kitsune, being in high spirits after anything that occured yesterday is very pleasant to see indeed. Bernhard will redirect her attention back to her Master and Wielder whenever she gets startled or distracted by the thunder and splattering rain outside. "You doing quite well? How dear and utmost pleasant to see. *gently petting her neckfur* Now then, do listen closely now..."
(additional action below goes here)
Here's what we'll do, in that order. If anything of it needs to get rolled, go for it, if anything is downright impossible or doable only with notable negative consequences, please do tell and I'll edit accordingly: (...)
Now that we're having the having the trusty fox's attention, Bernhard will - in quite the similar near-ceremonical manner like he did with the Firestone at the start of the campaign - draw one item from his wide inventory and gently place it onto the floor right in front of Myra. It's a deeply-purple-colored disc, containing the code to teach Toxic to a Pokemon (single use)!
"Another gift for you, for I think you do deserve it. ...I have no doubt that you and me will make quite the good use of the ability to infect those that pester us or mean harm to us with such a potent venom, don't you think...?" There's some morbid joy apparent in his face and tone of voice. But then again, if you're aiming to harvest parts of a Pokemon you encounter to later use them for alchemistic purposes, it doesn't quite matter whether they die via poisoning, does it?
The Used TM is kept for now, into our black worn-out messenger bag it goes.
EDIT: Oh, if smol Spritzee is not too exhausted or pained to do so, Bernhard will also keep him out with him while burning/smoking lemongrass incense so that he (Spritzee) can intake the aroma to later create citrusy magic-infused perfume.
