RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 01-17-2020 I changed my mind Dragonstrike. I take encounter 2 instead. The tree might help as a extra protection in case those ghosts use a Blizzard or other powerful AoE moves. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 01-17-2020 Please remember that opting to use own weapons in a battle you're going to make yourself a target for the foe-Pokemon's attacks, and something I'd rather not deal with if it can be avoided is a badly and lethally injured party member. On the other hand, joining a battle between Pokemon would make for really cool scenes if handled with thought. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 01-17-2020 Yeap, just as Phantom said. Entering your chara as a active participent in a Fight can help pile on the Damage and end it more quickly, but you're opening yourself up to getting brutalized in turn and have to focus extra hard on keeping them conscious. If they Faint, then unless your chara's balled Pokemon can pull an Amethyst and release themselves to defend their insensate form, then they'll be Frozen dead solid likity spilt and turned into a very tasteful statute ASAP. Not a good faint, to put it bluntly. So yeah, be careful about Fighting with Kogeki, Spirit. Unless he has maxed VIT + INS and high HP, he's a plain squishy human with no powers, which isn't exactly very condusive for a Fighter in a semi-mythical and very much fantastical setting that's Pokerole. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 01-17-2020 Don't worry guys, I got this. Besides, it's been a while since we got a real fight. It's a perfect opportunity to have a real fight. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 01-17-2020 Well, we've at least warned you properly, the rest's up to you!~ RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 01-17-2020 Question for you, Dragonstrike: Since Ran's battle is over within roughly 12 secs or so (A Round lasts roughly 6 secs, or at least from what I can recall) and he discovered the nature of the Frosslass, is it possible for him to use his Spell Tag and/or Amethyst's Future Sight to determine where the real one or whatever is the source behind it is, then use either Sekhmet/Excadrill to Dig him over to there to them (if he can convince them) or have Brigid + Amethyst melt a way through to them (Via Inferno + Razor Wind [To whip it up even further!]) in time? If not, I'll just sit tight with my reaction until I see that outcome of everyone else's battles. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-17-2020 (01-17-2020, 05:58 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Question for you, Dragonstrike: Since Ran's battle is over within roughly 12 secs or so (A Round lasts roughly 6 secs, or at least from what I can recall) and he discovered the nature of the Frosslass, is it possible for him to use his Spell Tag and/or Amethyst's Future Sight to determine where the real one or whatever is the source behind it is, then use either Sekhmet/Excadrill to Dig him over to there to them (if he can convince them) or have Brigid + Amethyst melt a way through to them (Via Inferno + Razor Wind [To whip it up even further!]) in time? He could try, but this also depends on how quickly the others deal with their Froslass, as the real one is among the 10 that just appeared (I rolled to determine which one it is at random). If everyone else can deal with the Froslass within 2 Rounds, then trying to dig or melt past/through the walls is kind of a moot point. So sit tight for now, and if we get to a point where such help could be useful, I'll let you know. RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-19-2020 Good job with that encounter, everyone! RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 01-19-2020 *Claps Hands* Well, that battle was a blast, at least in my humble opinion! Loved how it was challenging at its core yet not too troublesome, and the clever 'split the group' tactics employed made each battle all the more important for our charas individual AND towards the overall goals + wellbeing of the group! Plus, splitting things up made the fights go a lot faster and smoother than it would have been a slog of a mega post if we were all tackling the Frosslass as a Horde Encounter! Overall, excellent job with the Fractal Frosslass Horde Encounter! I'm curious to know what would've been the consequences if one of our charas had managed to beat their Stealth/Ambush Roll, though... Ah well, onwards with my next post, and straight into Mt. Coronet the group goes!! Get ready compadres, we're about to cut right into the meat of this campaign! RE: [Meta Thread] Dragonstrike's Pokerole Test Game: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 01-19-2020 I have to agree: It was a pretty good encounter too. The scene well made, along with the descriptions of the battle. Just a bit bad since I used 2 potions ready to help Kee, but still good. And the battle descriptions was awesome too. Even with the limitations we had, it was smart put limits. Been a while since I truly enjoyed a encounter. Now off to find Kogeki mask and search for spoils of our victory! |
