Merry Christmas! And a Happy new Year! - Iron - 12-24-2017 @Nylon reminded me we don't yet have an official Christmas thread. Post your Christmas art, wishlists, and hauls here! And any holiday messages you'd like us all to see! If you celebrate something else this season, that goes here too! And keep an eye on your PM inbox - maybe the spirit of Christmas will visit you? RE: Merry Christmas! - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-24-2017 Oh booh, I don't have any Christmas-related Uranium-Fanart to share 'cause other things kept me busy... ._. But I got a bunch of new crayons of good quality for Christmas, so maybe there'll be more art to share soon! As for greetings, that goes to my closest irl-friend who's not here on the Forum, but still means a lot to me. I'm sorry that you can't spend the holidays with your parents this year, but I hope you'll enjoy the days anyway! Oh, and I wanted to hang up a mistletoe in this thread. ^^
RE: Merry Christmas! - Dragonstrike - 12-24-2017 Well, with the 25th being tomorrow, and the xmas skins for Fafurr and Antarki in the Mystery Gift now (go get 'em while they're hot! ...er, freezing cold, I mean!), it's not shaping up to be ALL bad for me. Merry Christmas to everyone here on the forums! Don't have much to give (well, maybe some Neopunk I've got spare from breeding a bunch of them if asked REALLY nicely), but hey, I'll stick around. Don't really plan on going anywhere. RE: Merry Christmas! - Nylon - 12-25-2017 Thank you for making this thread, Iron. I hope anyone currently reading this are having a splendid holiday filled with joy and good memories. This holiday isn't purely about gifts (although that's not a bad thing at all), it's also about inner happieness and empty bank accounts (from the gifts of course ;-). And happy new year as well of course. Every year that passes signifies the possibilities of change, and personally I believe it also signifies every individual's own strength to not change, but to keep still and steady. I got a sweater I'm really happy with and some first-class chocolate if anyone else want to share what their most-appreciated gifts were. no pressure, though. Sincerely, Nylon
RE: Merry Christmas! - Dragonstrike - 12-25-2017 Eh. Got no problems sharing what kinda stuff I got here. Got some nice shirts (one featuring Colorado's state logo, one with Mario, one with eevee and all its evolutions in the main games, one nice polo I can wear to work), lots of snack food, Bib Fortuna and Delores Umbridge POP! figures, The Lego Movie (blu-ray), The Lego Batman Movie (DVD), an RC BB-8 (some assembly required and no batteries included), a faux leather jacket... ...and a pokemon themed cookbook from the days of Sinnoh. Not sure how to feel about that last one since I'm not much of a cook. All nice gifts though. Definitely most happy with the jacket as far as the gifts go. As for happy memories...well, day's not over yet, so we'll see. RE: Merry Christmas! - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-25-2017 Qualitative chocolate is never wrong <3 (Unless one happens to be allergic to one of its ingredients, of course.) Same with Eevees~ RE: Merry Christmas! - Lord Windos - 12-25-2017 Got through sorting through my gifts, and I mostly got cloths, a gift card to Gamestop (American Video Games Retailer) , lots of candy, an umbrella, a pencil flashlight, razors, etc. Overall, since I didn't ask for anything , I got more than I bargained for indeed! Oh yeah, that reminds me. I also got a gift card! It's for a place called 2nd and Charles. Bit of an entertainment store. Has books, games, etc. Definitely gotta do some browsing there sometime. Got $65 to burn on some stuff now. Cash and cash equivalents are wonderful, no? And yup, I feel ya on getting more than bargained for. I didn't really ask for anything either
RE: Merry Christmas! - Psykan - 12-25-2017 I don't really celebrate Christmas despite my upbringing (growing up in America, now living in Canada--both places where it's pretty big). Christmas at its conception was a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ--and moreso, the joy and bliss His birth was said to have brought to the world. Which I'm not (I walk my own path in everything, really, so I'm not an agnostic or atheist, either). My issue with Christmas and other holidays like Thanksgiving, Earth Day, and Valentine's Day is simply that I don't need one day to do every what what each of these holidays emphasizes. So, I'm here to wish everyone a Merry Christmas as well--not for the sake of "Christmas Day," but just because spreading joy, love, and merriment is something I like doing every day. Have a great one, you guys! Oh, and have some Christmas-theme Pokemon artwork I have saved on my laptop, hahah. It's kind big, hence the spoiler tag--since I beat Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon last night, this is perfect! My dad has the same issues. We're still celebrating the holidays that mean something to us like normal, but it's that commercial aspect that leads that leads to such a viewpoint - to be honest, I can really agree to this. Also, you...drew that on your own?! Whoahw. I enjoy it, especially the light coming from the bottom and that Fennekin. Great work. <3 |
