Monotype - smbai - 04-20-2018
Thinking of doing a monotype playthru. What do you think should be the type I use and why? I was thinking something not very common like Ice type but I'm not sure. Let me know what you think would be a good monotype team. (Also, don't say Nuclear type)

Depends on how 'difficult' you want to your playthrough to be, what Types you personally like and where/how you'll get the Pokemon for the playthrough from?
Though if you want a Type that's not very common, how about going against all odds and use a Normal Type Team consisting of Kinetmunk/Eshouten or Spledifowl/Tanscure/Felinger/Kiricorn/Paraboom? They all have a secondary Type to bring some variety into things.
Dark Type feels interesting as well, and there are more Pokemon to choose from. Something like Tanscure/Belliadon/Tubareel/Chainite/Vilucard/Baariette?

I would probably get my mons from either Wonder Trade/GTS or if anyone has any pokemon they would like to send my way. Otherwise if those possibilities are out, then I would just catch them myself.
I was thinking bug also might be interesting to do. But normal or dark also would be interesting. I dunno there are too many types to choose from lol

Another strategy is to send yourself ~six Eggs. Then they hatch with you as the OT, so no disobedience problems.

A, if making a decision is hard, how about refering to a list of all Types, assign a number from 1 to 18 if you don't want to include Nuclear Type and roll a virtual dice, the number that turns out will decide the Type for the Monrun?

You could as six different players to each send you a random Egg. But due to the egg sprites in Uranium, you can already guess what Pokemon will hatch most likely simply by seeing the Egg. It MIGHT impair the fun a little, or actually not if you don't let it.

Hmm... Maybe 8 different eggs under a certain type, and then with each badge I get, I get to hatch one of the eggs?

That'll work as well, and adds to the fun, variety and to some degree diffculty! I'll volunteer on sending 1 Egg as soon as you let us knows of the Type you've chosen for the Run.
