Is there any way I can trade but guarantee it back? As I just randomly caught a shiny Comeite, and i would love to fully evolve it, but dont want to lose it

There is, in fact there are two methods:
1. Trade with someone you know and trust.
2. Trade with yourself by using two seperate save files - I never did that myself so I can't say how secure this is, but here are guides how to do that:
