An apology to Clueless - EraMemory - 12-13-2016

As it seems that you have recently decided to go on a binge to find all my topics and downvote my reputation on all of them all of a sudden, I deduce that I must have incurred your displeasure in regards to my inquiring into your state of mind, after all.

I feel like an apology is in order. I am deeply sorry.

RE: An apology to Clueless - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-13-2016

I've actually talked to them just yesterday about what actually happened as I were somehow at the right place at the right time, and figured out something strange as I searched the forum. Do not worry, it didn't go that much into detail. I don't think they'll ever return, though...

RE: An apology to Clueless - EraMemory - 12-13-2016

Er... 'them'?

RE: An apology to Clueless - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 12-13-2016

I used "they" as a singular genderneutral pronounce, because ... well, why at all? To maintain respect, probably...
Wasn't intended to cause confusion or hint anything, nevermind that.

RE: An apology to Clueless - EraMemory - 12-13-2016

The appropriate term would be an ambiguous 'he/she'; 'them' is not used for references to a singular objects, but used to indicate multiple instances in question.

Anyway, looks like Clueless has placed me under his/her ignore list, so he or she may never get to read this topic.

Using 'them' as an ambiguously gendered pronoun has always been done for literally centuries, and is gaining more and more traction. It's less awkward in certain situations than he/she. Other times, you want to be very clear that you mean a singular person, and he/she might be more appropriate.

He already read and responded , though the post is gone now. Nothing worth bringing back up, just he apparently has some dislike toward shiny pokemon.

In the future, we're going to be looking into setting guidelines for Reputation and discipline those who would abuse it. I've been away recently so I'm not completely filled in on the situation, from what I've been able to pick up, there were a few disputes between Clueless and X many other forum users which lead to him coming to me asking for the deletion of his account.

While I'm here, I can not stress enough how important the report feature is on this forum. If you are being bullied or see someone doing something they shouldn't be, report it or if it's a private message, contact a staff member. Using the report button on an offending post sends a notification to all staff members with a link to the post in question, along with any description you added when you submitted the report. It is vital in doing our jobs properly.

Aside from that, Play nice, speak nice and act nice. The Uranium community was not created so that people could find enemies.

Don't apologize after that... =)))))))))
It'd be the same as saying, "you just proved yourself to be cray-cray, here's a cookie", just saying... Tongue
As for my take on this, I kinda saw it coming, just didn't know when the bomb was gonna explode and who was gonna burn the last straw...

Speaking of deletion, can you delete the 2 extras I made way back in the days when there was the issues with email and sign up and stuff? They're easy enough to see, just the 2 acc right after the ones I'm using, both Monkey-themed... :v

@Iron, @Polaris, @CodySP and you, Erin -

I've seen their (singular) final post on this thread as well, and can back up what Polaris says. In fact, they ended up trading both of their wild-caught shinies to me. I didn't mention those with a single word or hint, but "(I) seemed to like (their) shiny Owten from once, so (I) can have it", followed by a Terlard.
Guess they were glad to give them to someone who would appreciate them more, along with a bit of „Here, take this shit, I don’t want to see any of those ever again“ in between the lines. Pretty sure if I weren’t on-site at the right time, or cared to ask what happened at all, those two Pokemon would be released into the wild.
