alright, I'll cut to the chase here. there are 6 slots on a team and 5 families of steel type. my teambuilding is going to be over by the 4th gym. what should I pick up as a sixth man, if only to feel a little more whole?
Ghost is my second-favorite type, and Navighast is the best of them.
sheldon apparently counts astronite as a-ok
jungore's line has gold on it and that's a metal right?
to refresh, the steels in uranium are:
metalynx: (good attack, defense, special defense, mega-capable)
garaewl: (resists nucear, good attack, defense, unique move)
tracton: (speed boost, good attack and speed)
S-51-A: (good special attack, good defenses, mega-capable)
Daikatuna: (good attack, speed, learns surf and dive)
and now the contenders:
Navighast: (good attack, typing, moderate but workable speed)
Astronite: (sets hazards well [so i'm told], high defense, special attack)
Majungold: (useful typing in fighting, good attack, defense, $$$)

I'd say Astronite, if only to have a fast, power Pokémon that can hard counter the Types that can give you trouble (Access to Moonlight Blast and Psychic move sure does help in getting rid of Fighting types!). Pretty useful Pokémon by its own merit, too.
