Why didn't my Firoke evolve? - ISNorden - 02-17-2017
So I'm training up all my low-level 'mon to add their evolved forms to my Dex total. I've defeated the old Seikamater, collected the Royal Jelly, and (thanks to rematch-grinding) trained a female Firoke to level 44. She's holding the Royal Jelly, I feed her a Rare Candy to reach level 45 -- no evolution. If you'll excuse the pun, is this a bug? What did I do wrong otherwise?

You can't evolve firoke to seikamaster. You need a female smore, sponee or a tricwe and train ether of them up to level 45 without evolving and then hold royal jelly when it reaches lv 45

Oh...that particular Smore knew Incinerate already, so she was a lost cause. Time to grab the Tricwe from my Wonder Trades box and remember not to teach her Wild Charge!

You can also just press B to stop the evolution.

Or teach it another move to replace Wild Charge to prevent it from happening at all. Also, I suggest waiting until it learns the move Tail Glow, as that is the only way for Seikameter to get it!
