Hey guys,
I just discovered uranium and everything worked fine. i had my first minutes of playtime and had a lot of fun!
it is a great game. unfortunately at the next start something obviously went wrong.
all fonts are missing. not a single line of text is displayed neither ingame nor in the menu. I still can select my savegame and play everything. but the HP numbers, names, levels, spoken text, menu text, everything is missing.
The fonts are installed on my PC though. Reinstalling the game has no effekt.
it is not my savegame, if I delete it, I still have the same problem.
I installed version 1.0 and had the bug and an update to 1.1 via the patcher doesnt fix it.
Do you have any ideas?
I would really like to play the game :/

I already checked this thread but unfortunately its not the same problem. At least running as administrator doesnt fix my problem.
And the issue you mentioned sounds like he has sometimes fonts, but they disappear while playing.
I dont have fonts from the beginning.
I found 2 similiar issues on reddit.

Just for completeness and os/file system structur: I have windows 10.
I'm not familiar with Windows fonts, but one thing bothers me. yesterday I played the game and everything worked. I had all fonts. And the next day they were all gone.
If it was a Problem with the game, shouldn't it be fixed upon uninstalling and reinstalling? so there could either be something broken left, which doesn't get deleted if you uninstall the game or it is a problem outside of the game. Or am I mistaken?
(after uninstalling I used ccleaner, but this did not help)

Try going on that same subreddit and downloading the most up to date version of the game, if your current update was from patcher?

isn't it the most up to date version?
I can use the patcher and it downloads something on this version.
but neither the original downloaded and installed agme, nor the patched game does show fonts.

Weird! All I can think of is running it on a different computer - or what about running it as a different user profile?

My amount of computer is fairly limited ;P
seriously, I can't run it on an other PC...
And I only have this one user profile...
but I'm not sure this would do the trick, because the first time I started the game, I could play it. I was in the first cave (cant remember the name) and bettled the first hiker...
after that I saved the game... next time I started it, I couldnt see the fonts...

Hm, there was an early hiker who ruined fonts in early versions of the game. Could it be related?
You said deleting your save didn't fix it. Does that mean you tried an all new save?
Did you try loading a backup save from the Backups folder? (hopefully before that hiker?)

Fonts are missing from the beginning. So even in Menu where I select a savegame.
I tried a new installed game with an empty savegames folder.
I dont have an older backup anymore...
but even a new game doesnt have fonts...
I can post screenshots tomorrow, if necessary.

Perhaps your computer thinks those fonts are malicious programing, and screens them away/deletes them while downloading? If the fonts are still in the files, maybe you should try to set all of them to Read Only, so that your computer doesn't mess with them. Either that, or find fonts for the game, put them on Read Only, then install them into your Uranium folder. That is all that I can think of.
