Yep. When your Pokemon uses a move, the white-footed Furret immediately takes advantage of Run Away, squirming into a little crevice where even Kyuu could not hope to follow.

The blackmasked Furret cowers, while the big one doesn't seem inclined to flee!

While the others are on ahead, Heart takes a break. He's tired after training three wild electric Pokemon, so he makes himself a sandwich. A shadow appears over him. He looks up to see a slight man, holding a spear and wearing a breastplate. At his side, a nice sword. His hat is red and has several symbols sewn onto it. When he sees Heart looking at him, he gives a small wave with his off-hand.

When Heart was eating the sandwich,  he see the shadow of the strange knight and he started with his appearance! In that moment he summon both Rose and Gustav out of his pokeballs and question the guy. "What the f***! Don't scare someone like that! If you looking trouble and you want to threat me with a sword and a spear you better think twice or I gonna hurt you!" Rose summon her flames to show she is ready to protect her Master and Gustav point his cannon ready to summon a never miss Aura Sphere or Water Pulse in the strange looking person!

Ooh, it's a TM!  Which one, though...?

Wow, that's a rare TM, normally only seen in the Johto Region, given out by Pryce in Mahogany Town...and one that not many pokemon besides Ice types can learn...though Nathan recalls some non-Ice types can still learn it...

Nathan puts it away in his bag for now.  He'd contemplate who he might be able to teach it to later.

'...hmmm...wonder if Valder might have found anything as well...'

...and sure enough, when Nathan checks, he sees...the semi-chaotic scene of three somewhat disobedient pokemon fighting over...something.

...better let Valder handle that for the time being...

Both of Ven's eyebrows rose as he witnessed the Oddnix in action as a curious but still mostly neutral expression took ahold on his face. He tilted his head as he heard his own words garbled back too him, grimacing slightly when it ended up befuddling his sister even more than she was right now, and gave a *Hmm....* as he saw it shed some of its stony façade and gain a noticeable amount of speed. "Blasting the internal eardrums of Apsis with a mimicry of my own voice and putting her in a daze......must be the move Chatter. Shedding some of its body to gain more speed is also reminiscent of the ability Weak Armor. Judging by how impotent my sister's venom was in causing any lasting harm to it and how they almost instantly froze, its highly likely this Onix has a Rock/Flying typing. Interesting...." he said to himself, doing his best to take mental notes while also preventing himself form going mental, before he issued his next set of orders and pulling out his last Perssim Berry to cure Apsis of her Confusion.

"Apsis, its seems that this Delta Onix indeed is part Flying and not Levitating, but its natural fortitude is immense, so soften it up with Leer before continuing to wear it with Ice Fangs until its unconscious. If it gets free from your grasp at any point, however, re-Wrap yourself around it. Now that it's Frozen capturing it should be a relatively painless task, but still be on guard my sister. We don't know entirely what its capable or not, so be wary...."

Order: Use Leer to bring that Defense stat to the point that Ice Fang can do more than bare minimum damage, then Ice Fang 2 times. After this Round, Ice Fang will be used 3 times per round, with Wrap being renewed immediately should it be worn off. After its KOed, Apsis will use Glare on it to paralyze it, then a Steel Ball will be used to try and capture it. If that fails, Poison it with Poison Sting and try with a Great Ball. If all goes to plan Delta Onix should be as good as mine, but I'm not feeling too confidant in anything after Chandelure.....

Hah! That was....a partial success. To say that it backfired to some degree as it caused the Furret Shiva was somewhat interested the most to flee with no chance to follow it and an even lesser chance to see it again, would be blatant lying. B-Barely any time to be downcasted by that, two remained at the scene! One of them was the one with a mask-coloration making it look like a particularly mischievous and sly exemplar, now cowering in what Shiva strongly assumed was fear; while the other one was...the leader of this pack.

This magiced a playfully, mischievous, somewhat impressed smile onto her expression - so this particular Furret doesn't seem scared at all? Such bravery, it was pretty cool to see such a trait in such a on the outside cute Pokemon. What could she, probably opting to flee as well if she herself would be a Furret right now, do to gain the favour of this stalwart leader...?


First off, show them that this 'scary' Meowstic belonged to her by playfully ruffling the white tuff of hair on his forehead. "You did very well, Kyuu. Thank you. Restrain your intimidating glare now please, but stay with me, stay alerted." Psychic cat obeyed and covered the eyepatterns again, but is ready to reveal them again in a sudden movement shall it turn out necessary. This...does not count as 'harming' a Furret, does it?

Second, calm that masked Furret that cowered if the restrainment of this bluewhite cat wasn't enough, using the softest and most dear tone in voice Shiva was able to bring up. "It's alright, lil' Furret. This cat won't harm you, it never would. You have the privilege of not being allowed to be harmed, after all."

Third, speaking to that leader, now that she has its attention she hoped it'd listen and consider her words, now spoken in a less soft tone (but still soft subliminally to show that she's no harm), instead it has more of a serious and calm ring. "...You impress me by not feeling intimidated at all, Furret. You're clearly the leader of this small hunting pack, are you? You visible are. Please tell me, what can I do to make you, a Furret with a courage that impresses me, following me on my trip through Mount Sentry, onwards to Cress City? You'd be an ideal alert to any threaths ahead as you probably know this place like nonelse. I'll let you hunt as many other small Pokemon along the way as you like, my own Pokemon can help you on that even (Note, by using helping Hand), I also have enough food to share for you and your companions."

After Shiva spoke that out, she slides the orchid-patterned plate willed with THREE portions of Gourmet Food over to Leader-Furret to put her words into action. "I know that's probably different from what you usually consume, but please give it a try even if you're not hungry. You a re very allowed to store it away for later consuming or share it with the others."

"Do you want to battle to see whether I'm worthy? That'd be very smart from you, but it's not allowed to harm your precious species. Do you want to see me battle a different Pokemon? That'd be very possible, if you'd tag along. Do you want to play hide-and-seek? You'd win, surely, but I'm up for some more carefree time with you."

Mechanics:
I want that Leader-Furret for Shiva. I do, but the issue is how to get it - to show respect, she'll attempt to diplomize with this Furret alongside offerring praise and good food. Three packages of Gourmet Food are said to grant +1 dice on the Acquirering Roll, Iron, but now I found the niche that it's seems to be not clearly defined whether the Pokemon in question really has to eat it or the offering of it is already sufficient.

If all else fails and depending of how much Will this Furret has, I might just mischievously roll a Ball at it...

He dont see be that scare. Normally, a person would might scared by Full Evolved Infernape and Clawitizer with a cannon pointing to your head. Since the man put the spear against the wall Heart begin to talk again but always careful. "So...you want to talk with me? Who are you? And why you that kind of...set of clothes?" Heart was quite curious but he didnt denied that knight look a bit...familiar. But he dont know from where.

Leer will stack with the earlier drop in defense, since abilities always stack with everything else.

Apsis is cured of confusion.

It is still capable of digging, but not at the fast rate of the move.

Strangely, core book doesn't show Metal Coat as being the evolution mechanism. It will work for Delta Onix though.

Shiva doesn't think the authorities would consider nonpermanent and nondamaging moves illegal. Something like Thunder Wave might be though.

The leader and the cowering one run up and take the Gourmet Food, but don't eat it. They also keep the plate.

The leader curls his tail around the Mean Look Furret and gives you puppy dog eyes. Looks like it won't entertain any other possibilities until Meowstic is withdrawn.

That plate was a gift from her mother specifically for this journey, Shiva wouldn't enjoy giving up on it! But for now, she has to restrain any of these sentiments if she doesn't want to ruin he chances here.

Immediately as she saw that her Pokemon's Mean Look was...scarier as she thought it is, Kyuu is withdrawn, his Pokeball stuffed into bagpack that now gets pushed aside out of her own range to show that she means it. She's also not above words of apologize: "Forgive me if I have scared you, Furret. Again, this cat won't do anything to you anymore."

One more thing gets slid over to the two Furret - it was Shiva's own Ninetales-Scarf, warm, cozy and filled with her scent , matching for the act of soothing a Furret's nerves.
