Nathan takes that Hurtloam from Heart so it can be used on Calam.  Let's wait until after the results of the Stabilization rolls to do so, though.  Just in case.

But he refuses to move until Calam and Lucifer are treated.

Heart give a slap in Nathan face. "That's enough focus to you? If we stay here, Calam, Lucifer and everyone who we risk to save will die. If you want to risk everyone life, risk yourself. There is a line about sacrifice yourself and sacrifice others." Heart then turn his back. Heart know it's useless to talk Nathan so he looks to him as like saying goodbye to a friend. Nathan just stops what he's doing entirely when Heart does that and then runs off immediately afterwards.  Unfortunately, it means Lucifer (who is still conscious, unlike Calam) is still in a lot of pain from his injuries since Nathan hasn't started trying to treat them yet.  Calam's current Lethal damage was at least patched up with that Potion.

...the bottom line is he wants to save them...he wants to keep the resources that needs to be spent on doing so to a minimum...

...he's floundering a little in his attempts to try and figure out what the best course of action is right now, though...

...so he looks at Ventus. @Lord Windos

"...do you...think we have enough time to treat them now, or...do we have to...wait...risk the injuries getting worse? If we can't find a suitable place to stop within a half hour at the most..."

...

...he doesn't want to be asking that in front of Lucifer right now, as the bat is at risk of fainting from his injuries becoming more serious, but...

Heart stop in his way. He heavy sight. "Urgh, damnit!" Heart return to his way to where Nathan and Ventus is. "You will owe me that." Heart then search his bag and take a Super Potion and use in Calam. That will heal completely the Lethal Damage and back in shape. "Here. Can we go now?"

Despite what Ventus might have been expecting, Nathan moves to treat Lucifer first (feel free to ask Nathan why later, btw).  "...just hold still for a moment...this is going to sting a little bit...we'll get you all patched up so you don't end up getting hurt even more...trust me, you should feel a lot better afterwards, alright?"

...and then Calam's current condition will be addressed once that's done.  That Potion Ventus gave him for this is definitely being put to good use immediately to heal that 1 Point of Lethal damage Calam took!  However..."...gah...does anyone have any Hurtloam or a Revive they can spare?  I've only got the one..."

Let's also do some Stabilize checks for both pokemon!  5 + 3 + 0 - 3 = 5 D6 base! (partially for flavor, partially out of necessity/Plot)  Fingers crossed!

Lucifer: (6)(5)(4)(6)(5) Lucifer is quickly stabilized. His burns are cooled, his overclocked nerves are calmed, and his heartbeat stabilized.
Calam: (5)(1)(4)(1)(2) Calam is harder to treat, due to the unusual nature of his affliction. He shouldn't take any more damage, though. Nathan cleans off all remaining parasites and crushes them, cleans out any infection, and gets a little water down Calam's throat.

The Hurtloam restores 1hp (a contrast between it and a Revive) and Calam blearily wakes up. He has trouble walking though.

The bugs still haven't started excavating the Yellow Tunnel as far as you can tell.

Calam gains 1 Loyalty
Lucifer loses 1 Disobedience

Every Pokemon you rescued from Seikamater's clutches gains your choice of 1 Happiness or 1 Loyalty (to a maximum of 5). If your Pokemon already has 5 in one of those stats, you can 'expend' the bonus happiness/loyalty to gain 5XP.

Each Pokemon who made any rolls during the Seikamater battle gains 10XP. Each trainer gains 10XP from the battle and 6 XP from Heroism.

Phew...Lucifer and Calam are going to be okay...thank goodness...

So that would mean Zippy and Ralts gain 5 XP since both are maxed on Happiness and Loyalty, and Solomon will get...he'll get 1 more point of Loyalty, I suppose.

And that means of Nathan's pokemon...Ditto, Yule, Calam, and Swiftfire get that 10 exp.  Cool!

As soon as it's clear that everyone is a safe distance from Seikamater's influence and there's no more immediate danger, Nathan has some unfinished business still.

Namely, with Ralts.

As soon as he sends out Ralts, he immediately scoops the little pokemon up into a geuinely happy, relieved hug.  It's not hard to tell he's crying along with those feelings. He certainly doesn't have enough words to adequately describe how he's feeling.

"...you're safe...you're safe...I was so worried...so scared...you're safe now, though..."

Whether Ralts has the Clamperl Pearl or not, who's watching this scene right now, exactly what kind of tunnel/cavern they're in right now...none of that matters to him at the moment.

Nathan has his best friend in the whole wide world back, and Ralts is (hopefully) returning those happy, relieved feelings and that hug with just as much enthusiasm.

Ralts is safe, unharmed, and almost certainly happy. That's all that really matters to Nathan right now.

The following only happens when we have arrived a spot where it's definitely safe to make a break, a point where the bugs have little to no chance anymore to come after us.




Escaping.... Fleeing.... Running... Flying. These were the things that ran through Shiva's mind, anythingelse - the wrath of the bugqueen, her sentries still pursuing them, three of her group members lagging behind due to caring for injured Pokemon, the biting conscience of having enraged and heavily damaged a LEGENDARY POKEMON, the caved-in tunnels behind them - it all passed by quickly and has been completely swept away by the flightwind. Now, without Heart, Shiva allowed herself to get a little more confortable on Tropius' back, the grassy sauropode SCREECHED and flapped his wings more eager over the sensation of one person less on his back.

Soon they arrived a spot that looked stable and wide enough for everyone to take a rest, and only after Shiva concentrated once more to realize that the rage of Seikamater was far away enough by now that she couldn't feel it anymore, she gave Tropius another squeeze around the neck and pointed downwards. The Pokemon understood and ceased his speed, stopped flapping his wings to instead glide, until a few meters later he landed on the ground with a loud 'THUMP', stirring up some stones and dust in the process. Swiftly, Shiva leaped of his back and gave him an appreciating pat on the back, delighted to see Mamo arriving only moments later. He earned a soft stroke if he allowed followed by an incredibly relieved pat on the back for Valder. The determined gleam within her eyes hasn't fully faded yet as she softly smiled to him, lowly telling him that "....We've made it... WE'VE INDEED MADE IT. You did amazing... Thank you. Let us wait here until the others arrive..."

Mr. Finder also received a...weirdly confident smile and look from the fae enthusiast. It suited her... In a swift movement, she found the Pokeball in her pocket that she searched for, and placed it in Mr. Finder's hand - MISSION COMPLETE. "That's yours... As promised, I personally made sure that you'll receive dear Slurpuff back. He should be fine, yet he may need rest to recover fully - you know best. Please forgive us for all the danger, but we couldn't know that we'd encounter.....SUCH an abomination of a bug down here... But... I'm glad we all made it." That's a cool opportunity to grant Shiva a 3rd point in Survival Skill for 16xp - should increase the chances of her ranking a little higher in rolled Initative Orders.


With that dealt with, Shiva FINALLY found the time to welcome her butterwolfly back in her arms - she leaned into Tropius having made himself a home to rest after all the action, Azumarill closely by her side with eyes closed, before - in a true ceremonial moment - released Yena from his Ball. It like it took longer for him to manifest from the white light, but as he stood there, all fine except his wings a litte dropped from the unwanted excitement - barel< anything could hold Shiva anymore. Yena perked up and wagged his tail the very moment his Master PULLED him into an almost bonebreaking embrace, he let out a pleased growl in return. He was back... Back by the side of his alpha female, safe from the influence of that false alpha female with too many eyes, legs and wings... Yena eagerly inhaled Shiva's scent as she allowed him to place his head and upper body on her lap. It was an almost weird sight how fondly she handled such an intimidatingly looking Pokemon, maybe it was because the butterwolfly and Shiva had a few things in common.

She was still petting him when the others arrive. Dizzy of course, if he'd like can join in the sweet moments of reunion or do his own thing. He's not safe from a fond hug and a 'Well done. I'm proud of you and what you've become thanks to Golda and Wir." from Shiva though.

Azurill meanwhile, back in her jolly mood now that there was no need for grim seriousness anymore, hugged both Shiva's and Yena's side, simply relieved and happy that everything went well in the end. She was smiling, burying her face into her beloved Master - before she chirped eagerly and caught her Master's attention immediately. The fae rabbit smiled sweetly, beckoned Shiva closer to her: But this time, her shenanigans didn't end with handing her another 50$-coin magiced up frm her ear. THIS TIME, Azu went a little further and mischievously placed a dear kiss directly on her Master's cheek! She held it a few moments, before pulling back and chuckling like a twelve-year-old girl. Shiva felt....weirdly after that and only stared at Azu with her hand on the cheek - before one moment later, she joined in the chuckling.

Maybe Azumarill was just imitating what she saw her Master doing to that young man with orange hair and green sweaters, but 30xp are spend on her now for a suprise. I've looked forward to stating this. (^x^)☆

Every Pokemon you rescued from Seikamater's clutches gains your choice of 1 Happiness or 1 Loyalty (to a maximum of 5). If your Pokemon already has 5 in one of those stats, you can 'expend' the bonus happiness/loyalty to gain 5XP.

Each Pokemon who made any rolls during the Seikamater battle gains 10XP. Each trainer gains 10XP from the battle and 6 XP from Heroism.

So that would mean Zippy and Ralts gain 5 XP since both are maxed on Happiness and Loyalty, and Solomon will get...he'll get 1 more point of Loyalty, I suppose.

And that means of Nathan's pokemon...Ditto, Yule, Calam, and Swiftfire get that 10 exp.  Cool!

As soon as it's clear that everyone is a safe distance from Seikamater's influence and there's no more immediate danger, Nathan has some unfinished business still.

Namely, with Ralts.

As soon as he sends out Ralts, he immediately scoops the little pokemon up into a geuinely happy, relieved hug.  It's not hard to tell he's crying along with those feelings.  He certainly doesn't have enough words to adequately describe how he's feeling.

"...you're safe...you're safe...I was so worried...so scared...you're safe now, though..."

Whether Ralts has the Clamperl Pearl or not, who's watching this scene right now, exactly what kind of tunnel/cavern they're in right now...none of that matters to him at the moment.

Nathan has his best friend in the whole wide world back, and Ralts is (hopefully) returning those happy, relieved feelings and that hug with just as much enthusiasm.

Ralts is safe, unharmed, and almost certainly happy.  That's all that really matters to Nathan right now.

Dizzy looks on, panting in happiness, as you embrace your exhausted best friend. But no one's as happy as the two of you, Ralts and Nathan, your feelings bouncing back and forth and magnifying as you discover the wonder of your love and relief and happiness. 

Ralts starts glowing with light, as you've seen him do once before, until it overwhelms the narrow tunnel and nearly blinds you. It's the happiest moment since you've met Ralts, possibly even since before your father left, and it's made all the sweeter by separation. 

The light clears, and there is Kirlia once again! Circumstances are a little different this time.

Congratulations! Your Ralts has evolved into Kirlia! Again!
