By my count, Helios took...1 damage from Bubble Beam, and 1 from Future Sight, so he only took 3 damage total that round, leaving him at 4 HP. Still -2 Pain, but a lot better than 2/8 HP!
I'm counting Light Screen as a 'shield move' to be bypassed by Future Sight, but I did forget it on that first Bubblebeam. Now fixed.

Hmmm...well, Nathan's next pokemon should be sufficiently interesting. Seeing as this is taking place at a birthday party and all, let's see if I can't spice this battle up a little more...
That Lick's Paralysis chance though, yo. *shudder*

Froakie sure is devilish with his tongue, eh mate? Bet his kisses just leave the lady frogs Paralyzed! Though not in front of the children, of course!

@Iron
Marill actually took no damage from those Wake-up Slaps, as Fairy resists Fighting, and she's now part Water type instead of Normal!

Oh yeah. Then this intelligent Astronomer would have used a different move, but I'm not sure he's got one that has good damage.

That means his Clefairy doesn't yet know Meteor Mash? That's a cool move for these cuties.

Would have also still been only 1 D6 damage The only differences would have been the -1 accuracy and the 2 D6 chance for +1 Strength (which could have made a second Meteor Mash 2 D6 damage, but eh)
But yeah, really, really cool move. It's neat that Clefairy is one of the few pokemon that learns it. Only other ones are:
- Metang and Metagross, of course
- Event Jirachi and Deoxys
- Riolu through breeding in USM only so far
- Rock Star Pikachu

It was initially a Doubleslap, but a -2 accuracy does not jive well with someone who is not skilled at Brawl.
Pound is boring, but gets the job done.

Alright, now this battle is definitely starting to get a little more exciting...
