RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-18-2020 Kogeki's words are not lost on the winds that these Froslass have hailed. The weight of them only thickens the tension further as the ninja details his plan of attack. Tree Froslass Round 1 One of the Froslass points at Susano'o, and a cold blue flame appears at the tip of one finger. Then the Froslass flips her hand and flicks it right at the bladed fish. Will-O-Wisp C 1 9 - 3 - 2 = 4 (6)(4)(4)(3) Susano'o was Burned 1! Hime sees an opening, and she's not going to waste this chance! They seem to be underestimating her, and she can 100% exploit that weakness! Her wings begin humming faster and faster as she zips in circles around the battlefield. Swords Dance 1 (Hime) 8 - 2 = 6 (6)(3)(5)(3)(2)(4) +2 Strength for Hime! As Kogeki has two functioning hands now, but hasn't had that many for years, I'll only give him a -1 accuracy penalty for wielding the katana, as it is a two handed weapon. He still knows how to wield it, he's just out of practice. One slash aimed straight at the slower of the two specters. As the blade connects with the Ghost, it passes right through it! It still appears to take damage, but Kogeki can clearly see that what he's facing is not a real, physical object. Strike 1 (4)(4)(2)(5)(1)(6)(1) Soooo close to a crit. 5 - 5* = 1 minimum (6) Froslass D takes 1 damage. 6/7 HP But that doesn't mean they can't fight back! The second Froslass holds both hands up to her mouth...and then blows a wave of cold, howling air at all of her targets to chill them to the bone. Icy Wind D 1 9 - 1 - 2 = 6 (6)(2)(3)(4)(1)(1) 3 + 2 + STAB - 2/3/4 = 4/3/2 D6 (+1 on Hime, -2 on Susano'o) (5)(4), (2), (1) Hime takes 3 damage! 5/8 HP -1 Pain Kogeki takes 2 damage! 6/8 HP -1 Pain Susano'o takes 0 damage! Hime, Susano'o, and Kogekis' Dex are all decreased by 1! Susano'o, completely unfazed by the Ice move, begins waving his sword fins around in a rhythmic sequence, psyching himself up. Swords Dance 1 (Susano'o) (6)(4)(2)(6)(5)(5) +2 Str for Susano'o! The first Froslass points at the fish, and the wind picks up once more, the howl much more eerie this time. Her partner moves to do the same. Ominous Wind C 2 9 - 4 = 5 (3)(3)(2)(2)(2) ...except the wind does not heed their call this time. However, the Froslass still appear to be completely unfazed by this turn of events. Hime is quite encouraged by that, however. Yes, they're ignoring her! Time to strike! She circles around the tree, becoming a blur as she darts around it to suddenly strike the enemy from behind! The bell she's carrying chimes as she strikes, heralding health and prosperity for the one holding it. Night Slash 2 (Hime) (5)(5)(6)(4)(2) Crit! 3 + 5* - 5* + 2 Crit + SE = 5 D6 + 1 (6)(6)(3)(3)(5) Froslass D takes 4 damage! 2/7 HP -2 Pain Hime recovers 1 HP with her Shell Bell. 6/8 HP -1 Pain Ominous Wind D 2 9 - 4 - 2 = 3 (2)(1)(1) ... Kogeki charges at one of the illusions in an attempt to strike it down, trying his best to ignore the chill that's slowing him down! Strike 2 (6)(4)(5)(2) (5) Froslass D takes 1 damage! 1/7 HP -3 Pain Susano'o has had enough of this. He's going to end this, right here, right now. His watery sword is summoned, and it almost flash freezes due to the intense cold. He cares not, however, as this sword will be the one to end the battle! A wave of water and ice collides with both Froslass and the sole tree that the two of them have been hovering around! Hidden Power Water 2 (6)(5)(3)(5)(3) (4)(4)(4)(2)(5)(5)(4) Froslass C takes 6 damage! 1/7 HP -3 Pain Froslass D takes 6 damage and vanishes without a trace! The tree takes 5 damage and is cleanly severed from its stump! Let's see which direction it falls in... (1) Hits the snow harmlessly (2), (3), (4), and (5) Hits one of the ice walls (6) Hits Froslass C (6) ... This'll act like a Wood Hammer attack using Susano'o's Strength as the base and the accuracy roll of his Hidden Power. Falling Tree 6* Strength + 5 Power - 5* Defense = 6 D6 (4)(4)(4)(3)(6)(1) Froslass C takes 4 damage and vanishes as the tree causes the snow on the ground to explode upwards! Kogeki, who had been standing near the Froslass when the tree collapsed, is blown backwards by the impact caused by it falling over. As he is currently wielding a two handed weapon, he's unable to grab his mask and prevent it from flying off of his face and into one of the other arenas! Hime zips over to where Kogeki landed in the snow and hovers over him worriedly. Susano'o instead immediately focuses on extinguishing the burn he'd received from that nasty Will-O-Wisp, then walks over to Kogeki as well. He holds out a fin to (carefully) help Kogeki stand if need be. Kogeki, Hime, and Susano'o all get 5 exp. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-18-2020 Blood Lust and Shell Bell both restore 1 HP for every 4 cumulative damage dealt. Checking your character sheet, you did note it down under the 'mechanical things' tab. Cave Froslass Round 1 Froslass A outright scowls at Kee's taunts, now clearly much more emotive than its apparent twin. She raises a hand to the sky, an icy blue light shooting upwards from it to gather storm clouds once more, and she smirks maliciously at Kee as Hail begins to fall once again, a dark, shadowy glint in her bright eyes. Hail A 1 8 - 2 = 6 (5)(5)(2)(1)(1)(2) It begins to Hail again! Froslass B, meanwhile, merely points at Stella and attempts to daze her with a similar, icy blue light with darker shades of blue and purple swirling within. Confuse Ray B 1 9 - 2 = 7 (5)(5)(4)(6)(6)(3)(6) Stella became confused! Two can play that game, though, and Draven loves to play it! A noxious smelling liquid starts oozing out from underneath his cloak, and he scoops it up and flings it at Froslass B with incredible speed and precision! Toxic 1 Froslass B is Badly Poisoned. Despite being dazed and enraptured by the pretty lights, Stella tries her best to see through the bright snow to aim a crippling attack of her own at the one who dazed her. Disable 1 11 - 2 - 2 = 7 (5)(5)(4)(1)(5)(2)(1) Froslass B's Confuse Ray was Disabled! Froslass A begins to laugh as she raises both of her arms skyward, channeling all of her power into the raging storm to freeze these fools who would dare intrude upon her territory where they stand. Blizzard A 2 9 - 4 = 5 (6)(6)(2)(2)(4) 3 + 5 + STAB + NMI - 4 = 6 D6 (-1 on Stella) (5)(6)(2)(6)(4)(4) Draven takes 5 damage! 1/6 HP -3 Pain Stella takes 4 damage! 2/6 HP -2 Pain (5) (2) Froslass B raises a single arm and points at Stella, aiming to finish her off by increasing the intensity of the eerie winds. Froslass A's laughter echoes around the small valley, adding to the creepy atmosphere further. Ominous Wind B 2 (3)(6)(2)(4)(3) 2 + 3 + STAB - 4 = 2 (2)(1) Stella runs over to Kee and hides behind his legs as the wind picks up, sparing her from the worst of the damage. (1) Draven is MAD. How DARE they try to ruin his fun before it could even begin! He'll show them! He'll bring them to their knees with so many toxins, they'll be begging for mercy within the next 6 seconds! A dark purple liquid oozes and is flung this time! Venoshock 2 (6)(3)(1)(2) (6)(5)(3)(2)(4)(3) Froslass B takes 2 damage 5/7 HP -1 Pain Stella's scared, so she does the first thing that comes to her instincts: breathe fire, and lots of it! Maybe a little hot wind will get this cold one to go away for good! (Yes, you can say you'd rather not trigger the Fire Gem) Heat Wave 2 9 - 4 - 2 - 2 = 1 (5) (4)(5)(1)(1) Froslass A takes 2 damage! 5/7 HP -1 Pain Froslass B takes 2 damage! 3/7 HP -2 Pain (3) (5) Froslass A glows with an eerie, ghostly light when it's struck by an attack... (3)(5)(3) ...but nothing happens this time. Both Froslass immediately turn their gaze on Stella, determined to put down this nuisance. Malice is clear to see in Froslass A's eyes. Kee quickly applies a Potion to her so she can hopefully sponge the attacks that are about to be heading in her direction. Potion 1 Stella recovers 4 HP! 5/6 HP Both Froslass raise their hands, and shadowy balls of energy are swiftly flung at the smol fire fox without a second thought. Shadow Ball A 3 9 - 6 - 1 = 2 (5)(5) 3 + 3 + STAB - 4 = 3 (6)(6)(4) Stella takes 3 damage! 2/6 HP -2 Pain (2) Shadow Ball B 3 9 - 6 - 2 = 1 (2) This one sails right past her and collides with one of the ice walls, dissipating into the shadows cast by the moonlight... Draven's had it up to his ears with these Froslass, and they're gonna pay! He'll drive them into the ground with his bare paws if he has to! Foul Play 3 Unfortunately, he's run out of dice due to the extreme damage he's taken, and is unable to execute his attack because he's too exhausted to be able to grab ahold of one of the Froslass. Stella can keep fighting though, and her instincts are definitely telling her to breathe more fire! Ember 3 10 - 2 - 6 - 2 = 0 The fire catches in her mouth, however, and she coughs, unable to spit it at the Froslass, and ends up accidentally swallowing it instead! Stella takes 1 damage in her Confusion. 1/6 HP -3 Pain Kee, trying his best to salvage this situation, sprays Draven with a Potion next. Draven gives Kee an appreciative nod. He's going to end these two next Round. They'll be hacking and coughing up so much poison, they won't be able to so much as breathe. Potion 2 Draven recovers 4 HP. 5/6 HP Poison: (6) No damage this time, but it's going to fail that check next Round. The Hail continues to fall. Stella takes 1 damage and faints. Draven takes 1 damage. 4/6 HP -1 Pain Kee takes 1 damage, as there is nowhere to hide from the hail unless he can make it to the cave. 7/8 HP Froslass A cackles as Stella falls to the chilly, shadowy assault. She revels in the glory of her winter wonderland, arms and face raised towards the sky as she urges the storm to continue! Everyone can hear the cackling from the real Froslass, regardless of where they are in the valley. Cave Froslass Round 2 Initiatives RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 01-18-2020 (01-18-2020, 04:34 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Kogeki could only see the time in the battlefield slow while the chaos issue. For a split second he see the most quick Froslass summon a ghost flame in his finger, and was ready to defend himself...only to realize the target of Froslass was not him but his companion Susano'o! I'll give Kogeki 2 exp for the awesome descriptions of his attacks! This kind of event isn't quite enough for Hime to get an additional point of happiness, unfortunately. She is glad to see that Kogeki's okay, though. ------------------------------- As for lifting the tree, I'll say that Susano'o can lift a part of the trunk if he chops off the top of the tree, allowing him to use the trunk as a sort of battering ram. Now that the combat's over, between Nagi's sunlight powered flames and Susano'o's makeshift, heavyweight battering ram, Kogeki is able to eventually bust his way through the ice wall, shattering it into a million pieces! By the time he's gotten through, though, Kee's already finished the battle, and the danger has passed. Kogeki can see that Kee is examining some kind of large object that's been frozen solid in the cave. Lucas shouts from his section. "Alright, I think that's the last of 'em! Head count! Everyone still standing?" "I'm fine! My pokemon got a little banged up, but we're doing okay!" Kogeki can see one of the ice walls beginning to glow red hot as Lucas's Magmortar begins heating it up. It probably won't take long for Lucas to bust down his wall. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 01-19-2020 The now bad tempered blacksmith, despite his current MAGNIFICENT LEVELS OF PURE, UNADULTERATED FURY, couldn’t resist the urge to snort as he heard her battle-cry. ‘That welp still has her righteous streak hot as a ingot fresh from the smelter, I see. Better not cause me or anyone else problems over it again, or I’ll whoop her hind end again ‘till it’s purple as a Poison!’ He then cracked his neck with an audible *POP!* , rekindling his RAGE and focusing back onto his clash with his Frosslass, the desire within to see them annihilated now burner brighter than ever, thanks to his former irritant fanning those wrathful flames hotter and higher! The Hail nor Blizzard the pair of gelid Ghosts sent his and his girls way put a damper on the sense of RETRIBUTION towards them – it only made his Ghastly grin stretch painfully wider and turn even more viscous! Not even one of them vanishing like a….well, Ghost phased him, him thinking his fem fatales had banished it back to the afterlife with their SE Moves in his ANGER clouded mind. What didwhip that look of his face was Brigid flying off the handle seconds later and going into an appropriately fiery berserk ASSAULT of her own, prompting him to instantly do a double take at her, his expression still red with anger but now displaying neutral surprise. ‘By the sparks and flames, what’s got Brigid all fired up, like Hellfire made home in her belly?! This ain’t like my nice and peaceful turtle, not a damn bit! *Beat* …Wait. Is it…because of me?’ Ran didn’t have much time to contemplate this dramatic change of attitude in his super-heated tortoise. Soon, Brigid’s ENRAGED efforts and cool but equally ferocious attacks from Amethyst both Icy apparitions were dispatch with remarkable ease, ending the battle almost anti-climatically and the coal muncher waddling over to smoother him with worried affection and concern. This fully snapped the midget man out of his wrathful state of mind, prompting him to sorta blankly stare at her, befuddled, until his high mental functions kicked in and he awkwardly petted her on the head to try and soothe her. “Hey, hey, easy girl. I’m alright and dandy, like that punk musician. Little Hail and frost from them Yuki-Onni hardly numbed me whiskers, and you’re did a fine job dispelling that feeling, along with them. And warming me up now too! So don’t worry ya head much, alright? That’ my job to do, not yours, he he!” He then turned his attention over to his ivory protector and gave her a small but proud smile and a nod. “Did a spectacular job yourself, Amethyst. That battle could’ve been hell frozen over for us, but you supported ya partner well, and snuffed out those murderous spirits ‘fore they could get up to real trouble. Well done.” Once he’s calmed Brigid down (Reaction, maybe?), he looks up and around, carefully listening to the (at the time) ongoing battles of his partners winding down like his – all except for one. Turning towards the direction the din, the dwarven craftsman points towards the ice wall/pillars in that direction and points at it, one hand still resting on his sunny reptile’s head. “Hear that, girls? Sounds like one of our own is still getting the deep Freeze from them Yuki-Onni, so how about we go over the and heat things up? Brigid, Inferno on the walls. Amethyst, charge up a Razor Wind to feed into their flames and speed up melting this prison down.” The champ’s rollcall is meet with an affirmative from Ran. “Yes, and pissed off like my Hippowdon to boot! The Frosslass I face hardly tickled me and my girls, but I’m plenty mad at this ‘friend’ of the old lady for nearly killing us all!! When we regroup, point me to them, so I can kick them in the *CENSORED!* ‘fore I have my Scarmory fly them back to them!” Wow, language there, buddy! (I’ll leave what else Ran does for later, after events have progressed a little more!) RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 01-19-2020 Kogeki took a while to break though the ice and race towards the danger. He was in the moment where Kee Paraudio beat the real Frosslass, ending completely the battle. With the danger finish, Kogeki sigh happy to know no one will have to see his real face...for now. When Lucas shout, Kogeki shout back. "I okay! Just a few scratches! I lost my mask during the battle, so could search it?" Kogeki then decide to take a look in the tree and around the the battlefield and see if he can find something. Those Frosslass was not only protective with the entrance but something else...and that tree is the first place to search. Kogeki also make sure no one see his face. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 01-20-2020 (HAHAHAHAHAHA, I looove how Core eventually evolved by overstraining himself with music. Fits the Paraudio-Line so well.) Well f#ck that, Kee's misfortune is eagerly continuing - not only is this icy lady appearantly laughing at him, she also knows ALL TOO WELL how to play it rough. Hummmm, did he possibly underestimate her? Maybe. Hummm, was he thinking that defeating such a foe with fire and poison would be a great experience for his young kistune and loyal catbat? For sure he did. Things went viral rather quickly though as that Froslass and her illusionary sister made it to send both of his counters of his back without mercy, and now they were aiming to do the same to Core - Or not, no way in heck he lets that happen, not as long as he's having ways to fire back with sound instead of ice!~ "Very nice track-choice Core, seeeee how the crowd approves!~~" Kee yells over to him across his brutal Snarl. The rest of the battle Kee witnesses only halfly, he was more busy rescuing fainted Draven from the situation by pickingbefuddled him up to carry him outta the danger zone. "Bad luck, bro, bad luck... This loss has nothin' to do with ya bein' weak or any bullshit like that", he gently tells him before returning him to his Ball. The next thing he DOES pick up is the same icy lady that gave him a hard time SCREAMING as if she was trying to compete with Core's volume, a black spectre leaving her body - "Did I...perform an exorcism without being aware of it by defeating her???" - the blizzard blowing more snow and ice into his hair, he had to raise arm to protect his face from freezing solid - and then all went silent. As silent as if like nothing ever happened, leaving a very confused and befuddled Kee behind. "Huuuuhhh??? 'kay, so this spectral n' icy lady was responsible for this hell of a blizzard? 'kaaaaayyyy.... Ugh, don't care, it has stopped for good." He sighs heavily in relief and laughs in delight over it being done. Core being a big, sly and cocky ParaBOOM now makes Kee laugh even more as he gives him a few pats on the back. "Hahahaha, now look at that, look at yourself, man!~ You're a bit bigger than me now!~~ Guess those toxic tunes really amplified your spirit... Now gimme those Safety Googles, don't need 'em anymore." They are swapped with his Black Glasses again, those look much better on him anyway. ....AHA, there also IS something within that cave, now those two can safely examinate and investigate. Kee and Core were mustering this block of ice holding something red within as Lucas's voice reached him. "I'm good, I'm alright, still standin' in contrary to TWO of mine Pokemon. Had the pleasure to handle the real Froslass, the others were illusions she appearantly cast... Oh, 'n once y'all are done and free, do come over here, found something that could be of interest here in a cave." Ke's hestitant to simply use a Pokemon's attack to break the block of ice/unfreeze whatever's trapped in there, it could be 1. a threat and 2. be killed by that act. So the first thing he does while waiting for the others and ask for their intel is summon Octavia and ask her to place the tip of one of her ribbons on the red thing in particular: "Sooooo, my dear one, do tell: Can you 'feel' anything from 'this', is it alive or more like a dead and inanimate object?" How big is that red thing inside also (roughly, small enough to fit into a hand or human-size?) RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 01-20-2020 (01-20-2020, 04:19 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Kee's hestitant to simply use a Pokemon's attack to break the block of ice/unfreeze whatever's trapped in there, it could be 1. a threat and 2. be killed by that act. Octavia can't directly touch the red thing since it's completely frozen solid, but she is able to sense something through the ice, however barely. She tugs on Kee's arm urgently with her ribbon. Whatever's in there, it's alive! It looks like the red thing is a little taller than an average human. |
