"There. (…) What now? I can have Melly Paralyze them, and get Genie to Grapple them, then fly high into the air and to museum if you want. Should be easy that way."

The saurian part of the Bulbasaur looks just like a normal one, albeit with little curling ferns like tiny versions of Ivysaur's. Gonna try and ambush this Bulba with statuses!  Out comes Grid and...another Grid?  I imagine Terra is very confused for obvious reasons.

"Grid, Juliet, see if you can catch that weird Bulbasaur by surprise and make it easier to catch."

Ambush!
Stealth: 6* Dex + 3 Survival + 2 Stealth = 11 D6
Alert: Bulba's Insight + Survival + Alert

He is indeed baffled by the seemingly inexplicable strong look a like of Grid, since as far as he knows the boy doesn't own multiple Galvantula. That is, until her remember something from the profiles and roster file that Ven gave him on Nathan: he most likely had a 'Masking' , a Pokémon that had the ability to perfectly appear as other creatures! The simple monk couldn't recall much more than that about them, though, due to the utter lack of information on the Pokémon in the r.f. (This is due to Ven knowing next to nothing about Tandor Pokémon, and he really didn't get to know them before leaving), but it DID clear away his confusion, leaving in its place faint surprise and moderate levels of curiosity.

'....Strange Pokémon. VERY strange. But.....interesting. Are their more Pokémon like it, or even stranger? Hm....'

When Nathan gestured for him to not interfere, Terra easily complied with a nod of his head, gesturing to his Electric Fenrir and mischevious dragoness to be on stand by with him. If the boy thinks they can handle Bulba alone, then he'll be more than willing to let them.

With some content joy Shiva watched as Raphael took the initiative and darted into that sleak Linoone faster than it could see. The speed must be somewhat negatively affecting him though, unconsciously even as neither him nor the speed badger managed to really land a decent attack on one another. Still it caused her a bit of physical pain herself as she heard the archangel squeal in discomfort over Linoone slashing him on the soft underbelly. Luckily though, no red stains of blood followed, Raphael's white color remained pure - Shiva let out that breath she unknowingly held in an impercible sigh of relief.

The pain increased to a sharp one for a second the moment Raphael let out a long coo after another Slash, lost a good portion of his speed and threathened to fall from the sky; but Shiva was quick herself and instantly recalled the fainted archangel. "You fought very well", she told him as she held his Ball close and even gave it a small peck, "Be proud of yourself. Because I definitely am... You gave your everything for me and I much enjoy your eager. Rest a little for now, you well earned it - Thank you. Thank you...." Whether fainted Raphael can still feel this appreciation she wasn't too sure about, but she feels that her words aren't in vain.

The Ball containing her next Pokemon to be sent out against super fast Linoone in her hand, Shiva winded up with that arm, aims for some yet unknown target - before with a heartfelt throw, the Ball darts directly into the nearest tube with a noisy 'clonk' before it disappeared into the depth of it. It had an audibly wild ride until it popped out from somewhere, summoning it's content in that very moment:

It's a Spinda itself! She looked a bit baged up as she when she eventually got up onto her stubby feet, she gestured widely and had a hard time balancing herself to not trip. Especially if the battleground is sparkled with oily tracks....

For some weird reason the fae enthusiast found that wacky moving of her panda very cute as she couldn't help but chuckle a little. "You were right on your words of many good Normal Types being available within Mount Sentry, Tanuki!~ I got her from there. Oh....Oh, and, eh.... That Linoone is so cool! ( ≧◡≦)♡ It well deserves that nickname."

She's indeed highly intrigued. That Ability Linoone seems to present there is none that's normally available on the species, that much she'd know as  fledging Prof.Breeder.

I'm having no chance outspeeding *Linoone and Spinda doesn't know Fake Out or Sucker Punch (yet), Tanuki will likely not switch the badger out - But I'm waiting for a response whether a scenery edit I'm having in mind is possible before orders will income. I'm sorry for slowing things by that Battle, by the way! >.<

I'm going to rule you can't use Attract during the Ambush round - the Pokemon needs to be fully aware of you. Instead, I'll give Juliet +2 on her check in the next round, since she can be ready and waiting in her most appealing form when Bulbasaur becomes aware of her.

(Terra's staying on the sidelines, as not only has Nathan requested he hold back, but thinks that they can handle dealing with P-Bulba. by himself. If they get in serious trouble or they request his aid, though, he'll send Genie in)

Welp, guess that means Juliet only gets one action this Round?  Would like her to use a Confuse Ray as well if possible, but if not this Round as a second action, it'll be in next Round's orders.

Well, Grid's going to take one action, and it's Spider Web so Bulba definitely can't escape by any usual means so long as Grid remains in the battle!

Nathan will follow up with a second attempt at an Ultra Ball since there's two Trainer Actions per Round.

Between Bulba having only 1* Dex after Paralysis and having to pass the 2 success Insight check from Infatuation for actions to succeed, it's gonna be somewhat difficult for the plant pokemon to do much.

Spider Web! (which technically should have gone off before Attract did, but eh)
Acc: 6 Dex + 3 Survival + 2 Stealth - 3/4/5 Actions = 8/7/6 D6
Effect: Blocks all currently active opponents so long as Grid remains active

After Spider Web lands, Grid will spend the rest of his actions focusing on Evading instead of using Spider Web.

Gym Leader Tanuki vs Shiva Round 3

Linoone's at +1 Dext and 5hp while Spinda is fresh with Tangled Feet activated.


Spinda was stumbling across the whole battlefield and threathened to slip on any of the oily tracks when Shiva did call out to her. "Spinda, you hear me? Listen well now, try to use these tracks to your own advantage. Your foe is fast and quick like nothing, but also having issues if a foe or prey doesn't follow a straight line! Follow what I've told you earlier when I gave you your scarf, but if you can make it - Fully embrace your confusion and return some of the slashing Linoone throws after you or goes to FULL speed, copy that movement!"

I like it a lot when ideas are allowed to work, and in order to increase the chances of the Athletics Check suceeding I'll sink 6xp into 1 point in that Speciality. I guess Shiva would be great at athletics and related activities if she'd be to train a little.

Adjusting the fluffy scarf Master has given her earlier, Spinda LOUDLY whines about how her wacky movements are always made fun of.

Accuracy Roll Uproar, Uproar, UPROAR 1, 2 & 3: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 3 Actions = 6d6, 5 and 4 for the second and third Action respectively.
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 3 power of the move + 1 STAB + held Silk Scarf = 8d6
Additional notes: None can fall asleep for the whole Round, Linoone can't seek cover from that move either as it's sound based.

However, if the free Athletics Check succeeds,  replace Actions with Copycat to copy High-Crit Slash (non-lethal) or Priority Extreme Speed if feasible ( = if Linoone uses these moves), it'll benefit from the +2 Brawl Bonus to have the same Amount of dice in Accuracy and Damage.
Tangled Feet in action forces a -3 Accuracy Penalty on every move that targets Spinda while confusing her, 4d6 in Insight Check. Catch your prey NOW, badger~
