SpoilerRan wastes remarkably little time investigating the cry, and equally little time throwing down some rope he'd got admist all the Sundry Goods he bought in Snowpoint (or if not there, then certain he'd have quite a lot of rope from his Climbing Gear) to the dapper man in peril, shouting a rather concise message to them: "Grab hold, and we'll pull you up!"
The bristly blacksmith would also ask Karen to quickly get out her Magnezone, and have it hover down underneath what he assume to be Johnathan to catch him with its body/Magnet Rise if need be, or send out any Flyer she may or may not have. I don't think Ran has a Flyer in his active party, but if he does he'll be ready to send them out to catch the man too!

Oof, that would have been BAD if Kee and his loyal blue faeeveelution would have found their end right here. Death by falling down a cliff, suffering fatal injuries or freezing due to being unable to get help - or all of that together - is definitely something that they would gladly avoid.
Thankfully they JUST made it, only for Kee to be startled and alarmed by that shadowy black aura surrounding that already black prophet with the white fur: This increases his determination to NOT loose them by 200%. A Shadowmon or not - did they really came to warn them of that avalanche or did it just seem like they did?
If that Absol's running left, Kee will naturally follow, reaching that lower cliff on the wings of his Drampa, Orpheus. If it's possible in the current surrounding they'll also continue following them via FLYing, and Octavia is asked to trail after that particular Absol a bit ahead of him by accelerating herself via Quick Attack. "Whatever ya do or what may happen, TRY TO NOT LOOSE TRACK OR SIGHT OF THAT PARTICULAR ABSOL!!! But.... DON'T ATTACK, JUST FOLLOW!"

And it's snarling at them, too.

Randolph slowly pulls the rop up with Scizor and the man on the other end. Eventually, the two of them are able to scramble up over the edge.
Scizor dusts himself off while the gentleman falls to his hands and knees, exhausted. "...oh thank goodness...I thought I was a goner for sure..."
He stands up, brushes a few pebbles off of his shoulder, attempts to straighten his messy blonde hair, then looks at the group, a beaming smile on his face. "Now then, you clearly aren't my traveling companions, so who do I have the pleasure of being rescued by?"

If the man asks were the rest of his missing belongings are, Ran will say he and the rest of his current group has them, and will offer the Sword Dance TM, Big Nugget, and Fire Plate he took back to them if he requests. Ran's no thief, nor would he ask to keep such valuable after saving their life. He's principled like that, and he sure as heck won't extort or pressure a person like a certain professor...

But first comes that shadowy Absol that obviously doesn't appreciate being pursued and switches into offensive mode, them snarling and hissing at him and his Pokemon companions doesn't impress him. BUT he's very well aware that they can be a dangerous opponent in battle and/or aggressive if cornered, and so I'm going to give him +1 on Clash Speciality for 12XP!~

Orpheus has a bad feeling about how this fight is going to go if he doesn't do something soon. He won't let that Absol get away, and that sentiment is reflected in his gaze!

Through sheer willpower, though, it manages to retain consciousness for just a few seconds longer. It gazes into Kee's eyes, a very, very thankful look in those ice blue eyes of its own. It turns its head to look in the direction of the cave, and then collapses soon afterwards, unconscious.
Octavia is finally able to take a moment to clear her head and steady herself. She stays very close to Kee, eyeing that Absol warily.
Kee, Octavia, and Orpheus all get 4 exp.
