After the backyard in his plan Heart think in another one: He release Natu. "Natu, I need you to do your teleport thing. Help teleport to a safe part of that nest for get that Moltres Egg and then teleport very quickly back here. If anything happens, Gustav and Netune use the pressure of your water move to push us away from the lava to a more safety place."

Heart makes a Dex + Athletics check to stay balanced on the raft.

Nathan smiles a bit and chuckles as well when Heart half jokes about Rose's punches.  "Good job, Heart.  I think you'll do a great job helping that Moltres grow into a spectacular sight."

Well then, assuming nobody wants to change their minds and put some claims of their own on the Flabebe egg and that Arcanine is okay with Nathan taking it as well, I guess we're all ready to begin the final Pledges?  I know I'm ready to get this started (and potentially say some final few words as well, even if I need to flashback to them).

It's mostly just some final words from Nathan to hopefully set the tone for what's about to occur for Orthros, Charmeleon, and Calam.  And maybe the others as well if they're also listening to the speech. Gallade and Ditto are still watching in the background as well, of course, though this doesn't directly involve them.

"...well, here we are.  Pledging to protect and help foster the growth of entire species...didn't think that'd be a promise I'd be making in front of a Legendary pokemon, and yet here I am.  Here we are.  Dragon, Fairy...honestly, it doesn't matter to me.  If I can help make a change for the better, then I don't mind putting in the effort to do so.

Nathan turns to face his Absol.  "Calam...or should I call you Dizzy?  I've been meaning to ask you that, but, uh...ya know, maybe now just isn't the time.  Either way, you're my friend, and nicknames are only but one way to express that.  I've...almost lost you twice now, and both times it was because you risked your own well being to save another's life.  No amount of words will ever be enough to express how much that means to me, to Gallade, and to anyone else you save.  If that continues to hold true...we may just yet achieve your full potential.  Arcanine here has decided to entrust me with that blue and white stone amidst all the eggs.  Can you feel it?  Can you feel the power contained in its depths?  It's an Absolite, and together...Arcanine thinks we can help make Mega Absol a more common sight in Creshire.  Help overcome the paranoia and fear by proving and demonstrating that yes, our bond is strong enough to manifest one of the phenomena that represents it best, all while we strive to achieve our original goals...we'll still need a Key Stone or a similar power to finally achieve your Mega Evolution...but so long as you remain by my side and I by yours, I don't think any of that will be a problem.  Right?"

The next part is a lot shorter.  Nathan looks over all the pokemon eggs, all the pokemon species, that he, Shiva, and Heart are about to take responsibility for.  "...we've got a lot of work ahead of us.  A lot of lives, both present and future, depending on our success.  Strength of heart, strength of will...we'll need both of those and more in spades if we're to both preserve these species and achieve our own true potentials...but I think we can do it.  Well...let's finalize this pact.  You ready, Charmeleon and Orthros?"

*bark bark!*  *wag wag*

Charmeleon holds up his fist in front of himself in affirmation again.  He's ready.




Orthros will learn Fire Fang from the Pledge, the only move from the list that he can learn that he doesn't already know.

Charmeleon will learn Fire Pledge.  Unless he evolves and is then able to qualify for learning Heat Wave and Blast Burn, Fire Pledge is the only move from the list that he can learn which he doesn't already know.

(OOC Note: tried to leave things a little open ended in case Nathan isn't the one who gets the Flabebe egg. The Fairy reference could be referring to Calam as well as Flabebe.)

Heart before doing the Pledge, brings some important pokemon to witness such important moment. The Pokemon who accompany him since the beginning of the journey: Viktor the Trevenant, Koa the Fraxure, Gustav the Clawitizer, and Rose. He looks upon each of his four first pokemon and finally he talk.

"We have come a long journey until now right everyone? Facing all kinds of trouble and battles. From epic battles against trainers to Gym Leaders, from wild pokemon to legendary encounters. You four was my first companions...the fourth first members of my family. You were with me since the beginning." Heart then approach Rose. "You are also with me Rose. In many important battles... and so many important moments. We have travel for such long time. But there is one moment I will never forget. Our battle against Dagny. When we face our first strong Gym and you and I we using our strength and strong will. Despite the difficult battle, we emerge victorious..."

"... and It was the day you reach the peak of your evolution, and became a full evolved Infernape. I never feel more happy and proud than that moment." Heart then show Rose the Moltres Egg. "Now...we have a important role too to the world. We all need to protect and guard those eggs, until they became the destiny pokemon who will have a important role." Heart look to all his pokemon, including Netune, Larvesta and Natu. "This Egg in my hands have the baby of Moltres itself, the Legendary Bird of fire. Like the ArcHeart clan, this baby will hatch from the flames, and become the fate legend Destiny to become. I make a oath to protect and love him like I love you all. Danger will probably awaiting for us, so I ask you all...can you guys help once more? I weak alone but with your help, I sure I will to walk another step..."

"Rose, I swear to become a knight, and be the trainer you deserve. We were together in the beginning. And I be the there in the end." Heart offer his hand, with so many fire tattoos. "Can I count with you old friend?"

It's quite the ceremonical act for Shiva to give her final word, her promise, to that Noble Arcanine. It feels a bit like an engagement with Cottonee and Delphox being her witnesses of the marriage oath, aww!~ As she is allowed to take that pinkish Egg into her hands and embrace it before giving her beloved fluffball and magical fox a chance to say hello to the young Pokemon within the Egg themselves, she knows that the decision to venture into this curious cave was the right now. Now, she also thinks to see why Dear Celebi has sent them all back in time once more when they were so close to return to 2017.

She doesn't even have an idea what a 'Minicorn' looks like apart from it having traits of a unicorn, but this won't prevent her from loving the creature. Later when there's a proper opportunity she'll look up what her Almanac can tell her about this Pokemon.




Eventually, she also opts to listen to what her inner voice and heart tell her and raises her voice to Arcanine once more. "Arcanine, Graceful Caretaker of the Cave of Myth... I thank thee honestly. Please, allow me share something with you before it may be too late and before the change has passed to never return. ...I have already told you about my special liking to Pokemon of the fae alignment. What I have not told, is that they themselves tend to be drawn towards me, as I aged I began to see why they might do so: They are drawn to me, because... Because they likely pick up the vivid emotional pool of mine, sense that I live of dreams like others live of oxigen. Recognize the innocent Inner Child of mine that I promised a Zoroark once to never let go of. Faries are selective who they bond with, and grow by experiencing love and learning about their caregiver's emotions. Sweet Sylveon is the best example of that." Cottonee cuddles up closer to Shiva suddenly at these words, as if to mephasize that she too is a vivid example for that!

Mechanics:
In short, yes, I have changed my mind and am willing to accept the Egg of Flabebe as well, what I'm trying here it to make Arcanine see that this Pokemon suits Shiva best. The final decision is on him and GM now. I will make it to take care of both the unicorn and the flower fairy I guess, I shouldn't be so reluctant to this without giving it a try.

It also feels like a fair share in my view, Nathan gets the Absolite+Dratini, me Minicorn and Flabebe and Heart Lavados which is easily 'worth' two Pokemon.

If he agrees and a Plegde is made, it'll be Delphox once more who will serve as a witness, and he will learn...... Blast Burn for doing so, fueled by the sheer will to protect Shiva and her Baby Pokemon with his flames. I wasn't aware that multiple moves can be chosen either!
