The Skills is...a bit nifty for my taste but its workable specially with some uses of my own XP. I was saving for something else like increase my Mythical Healing, but I guess I have to use in Skills to better accuracy. My main issue is the perma Confusion for the rest of the fight. Oz will problably be a target for the monster due to Soul Bond, and now I have to be worry in not HIT myself with my own moves? On a battle when literally in the text Death Possibility is high? No. Just, no. I do like hard fights like the next cool guy, but not like this. Perma Confusion is more than tolerable with the massive Dice Pool your Fusion has, and even the effect it has on INS Based things is blunted with said Fusions effective *9 in that Score. You'll be fine....so long as you don't miss that is. And you current Skill Scores should be fine for Combat....unless you've already increased them since I've checked just now? I see that now. Like I said I overstepped with how I went about interpreting the Fusion and thought it could be something fun for us both. Wish it could have worked out, but it is what it is. I'll try to be more clear about such things with you going forward. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you as well as it should, chaoticness of it all aside. So....anyone else want to chip in on what course of action you want to take with the Boss? Or discuss basic strats at all? RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Redstone - 06-03-2025 I believe that our best bet is taking out some of the ''Groups'' by specifically targetting the leaders first, (bonus points if I can snag gloom a Moxie knockout without too many penalties) so we can then focus on the boss together. Considerely my bad luck in the last rolls, I am TERRIFYING beyond belief. I will not risk to roll my dice on a battle to the death in such confusion state. If I do, I will only use 1 Move and thats all. Thats sucks, but thats all I gonna do if we go in that path. I not going to try my luck again in this battle to the death we are about to go. Specially when said creature could be extra interested in Oz Soul Bond with Hecate and Glinda. Thank you mate. *Sight* Maybe it could be cool to let Zoeti DO exist after this battle, like some kind of...lingering tought or something in Oz and Hecate minds/Soul? Just this time as a guidance voice or a reminiscience of this rare ocasion. Again, I like the concept of a new being born of two souls. This could maybe help Oz grown more of a confident and self-aware person. We might make it work this time with a more...sensitive approach. Oz problably might not be very much chummy and buddy buddy with Zoeti at first since she take control of Oz and Hecate fused body, but maybe in the future she could work with Zoeti as friends or at least allies. We do not need to drop or erase this opportunity. Just because the introduction didn't works out, doesn't mean we can't salvage and tweak a little bit. We'll see. That is appreaciated my friend. And I accept your apologies. And...sorry if I sounded mean or ill spirit with my reaction to all of this. I know you did not did in ill intentions, and you only wanted to give me a different kind of experience. And I truly appreciate it. If this experience ever happen with Pokemon/Human fusion (I REALLY REALLY wish it happen again, because I a big fan of Pokemon and Human fighting together and fusion is a concept I love) it will be a more enjoyable experience. Really want to see Oz fused again in the future, because I loved the desigh of Oz witch outfit. Its both cute and impose presence. I would prefer we discuss our battle plan yes. It would be good. Preferrably using ranged attacks to lessen the chance of getting got by the sands' RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Dragonstrike - 06-03-2025 Considering how we got to this point, yeah, I don't think 'just don't miss with the massive accuracy pool' is particularly great reassurance. I just woke up and am running off of 3 hours of sleep, so not exactly in the best strategizing mindset ATM. Probably is a good idea to take out at least some of the minions before going for the big bad. Taking them all out would be cool and on theme with the group effort. RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Redstone - 06-03-2025 Besides that well, group buffing moves. Be it safeguard, mist, howl, wide guard or others. On the topic of mist I have a question. The core rulebook mentions it preventing attribute and trait reduction, does this include self inflicted ones like draco meteor? I know in the games it doesnt but the core book description isnt very specific in that regard. You PC's currently sky-high INS and immense Control will ensure that Fail Rolls, while costly, won't be seriously life threatening or too crazy. I can promise THAT much at least. If you're going to minimize dice regardless to prevent DEATH by combat, though, I can understand that. 2 Actions per Round with the rest being dedicated to Diceless Actions (Like using Actions to use more Items outside of their use in your Trainer Actions, or trying to dive in and out of Fights, etc.). is probably smart regardless in your case though. Hm...we'll see. Like you said, though, let's just Move instead of spiraling around a sore point and give it time to heal, eh? *Nods, smiling* Thank you, mate. Emotions got a little energized, but I'm glad we could work things out to better ends for us. As for your wish....well, anything is possible in the Wild Lands of Sutalör *Claps hands!* Alright, let me look over the ideas so far... - Ranged Attacks would indeed work....to a point, as you'll end up aggroing a Group eventually regardless if you try to do it Covertly or Guns Blazing. On that note, the 'Enemy Territory' has a bunch of trenches, pills of sand/dunes, and equipment you can hide behind and try to use as Cover - if you want to try to Stealthly take down units or sneak by to get to the Boss with less attention it IS possible....though not necessarily easy without the right Moves or plan. - Any Mon that has 'Ramp' Potential like Gloomtail would indeed benefit from setting up in a Group Battle before carrying that momentum over to other Fights. - Note Two: Weather is Clear, Terrain is null, and their are Hazards on the enemy side that can trip them up or be used. Each area a group is in will also be different design-wise ; I'll try to highlight important features if possible, and if all else Fails spending an Action (Trainer or Not) for Insight Rolls on Strats is never a bad idea. Yeouch! You're not developing insomnia like me, are ya mate? Please try to get more rest - take a day off from the campaign if necessary if that is what you need! Hmm...I usually take president from how the Moves actually work IRL / the main series games, but at the same time I like how Pokerole changes things up, like Keen Eye and Mold Breaker being waaaay better, Grudge acting like a pseudo-OHKO, Final Gambit stuff, etc.. Add in all the wacky stuff I do with normal Moves already and the custom stuff I brewed... Yeah, I'm fine with Pokerole Mist preventing ALL Stat Reduction for the user's side of the Field, now that I think about it! Be careful about using Field Effects if their is Weather or Terrain Effects running, though....BUNCH of hidden interactions are abound when it comes to that stuff in my campaign. Real talk though, it was weekly game night with the guys last night. Wouldn't want to miss it! Again, no confusion or 2-3 rounds confused would be way more preferable than stay confuse against both the army and the Boss itself. The other buffs is okay to keep, is just the perma Confusion status that make me extremely scared. SPECIALLY now after ALL the bad rolls I done so far who bring us to this point. Nope. Not gonna risk it. Even with only 2 moves per round, not gonna tempt FATE a second time. Question about the battle: With Oz since Oz technaly have now a Gauntlet summon by Zoeti, is she capable to now use her Pokemon moves properly? If so, I could use some of Oz Pokemon to manipulate the field as a way to defend us against the army. Maybe she could Icy Wind or Powder Snow to make the field more slipery for our enemies? *Looking at Hecate other moves* *Sight* Still very annoyed to not able to use the Aroma moves, Healing Wish and Psychic. Two great support moves, a Emergency Button in case things go wrong, and literally Hatterene BEST psychic stab. Urrrrrgrghhhhhhh damn it. This is annoying like hell. Speaking of moves, since Oz still have some of Mega Hatterene powers, is Oz able to use Misty Explosion? Not gonna use it since it is a extremely risk move, but just in case things get dice on our side. I not exatcly in my best mind at the moment to make a post in the game thread so I will take a break... |
