Quote:Nathan heaves and heaves, but the Sword doesn't budge. Shiva is watching closely while offhandedly feeding nori to her Pokemon. She doesn't sense any answering surge of power.
Nathan sighs. "...of course it wouldn't be that easy...but the points still stand. This Sword must be unsealed. I may not be a king, but it doesn't mean I can't be a leader."
Nathan looks at Gallade, Terra, Spira, Shiva, and Heart.
"...and what's a leader without those who follow? A king is nothing without a kingdom. Everyone let's try and pull this sword out together. Let's see if that makes any difference."

"Let's go. It worth a shot. Let our Earthpower be unite as one." Heart approach and grab the sword. "We all begin this together, and we all gonna end this together. Just don't expect me to call you hightness or my Leader. You are my friend, but you still need to earn that. I still gonna be Leader of my clan, you know that."

Everyone puts a hand on the Sword and tugs. The Nidoran have begun to lose interest at this point, for the Sword does not so much as budge.
Shiva senses that for them, the status quo is maintained.
RE: [Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole - Dragonstrike - 08-01-2019
There will be no status quo today. They WILL figure this out.
The only question is...what will it take?
"Any ideas, Gallade? We have to be missing something..."
RE: [Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole - Iron - 08-01-2019
Gallade doesn't know. He had faith that Nathan would be able to pull it out. He's had vision of Nathan wielding it... a likely future.
RE: [Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole - Dragonstrike - 08-01-2019
*sigh*
Any clues in the surrounding area or on the stone itself that Nathan might notice? It's not much of a puzzle if there aren't any being provided.
RE: [Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole - Iron - 08-01-2019
(The clues are in place!)
Let's see. Nathan looks around for clues about the history of this place, and does find one that even Shiva missed, in a way. Most of the Nido aren't going near the boulder, but there ARE some Pokemon footprints here. They are bigger than the Nidoran footprints, a bit rounder and deeper and at least half again as large. Shiva didn't take much notice of them because they still mostly resemble Nidoran footprints, but Gallade figures it's bound to be significant that these are the only recent footprints approaching the boulder.

Big enough, for say...a Nidoking?
(Honestly, that was one of my first thoughts OOC after we heard about the nidos, I just wasn't entirely certain at the time. And Nathan would have given it a go IC first anyways)
RE: [Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole - Iron - 08-01-2019
Well, WAY bigger than even an Elite Four's Nidoking, but sure could be the right shape!

Now here's the next trick: finding said Nidoking.
Assuming some of the Nidoran are willing to talk, Nathan will ask them. "...alright, so the Sword's not coming out, predictably. Any chance you guys have a Nidoking or Nidoqueen around here that CAN pull out the Sword? If we have to battle them for it or whatever, fine."
