And before, he really was not aware of how strong people felt about Pokemon, compared to other regions, so he really didn't pay attention at the time. Now, if he were to bring it up, Ventus would be more than happy to have a conversation about it, as well as share his region's mythology of his own in return. Give and receive, give and receive.
He hasn't brought up any specifics about that knowledge. But he mentioned his readings about history during the argument in the hive, and a very brief look at Creshire's relations with pokemon in the arbok conversation. But yes, if Ventus wasn't paying too much attention to that at the time, he might have missed those hints at Nathan's historical knowledge. It's also a big reason why he's got so much inherent talent as a trainer, as he's finally able to try and apply some of the basic and semi-advanced techniques he's read about some trainers using.
Unfortunately, Nathan doesn't have any real reason to bring his knowledge up right now. If an opportunity arises, he'll put it to use. Or Ventus could ask Nathan about some more specifics about what he was alluding to during the arbok conversation, and that would get Nathan talking.

@Iron
I figured out why you missed the thing about TMs needing exp to use them: it's one of the changes they made between 1.1 and 1.2, and it's not in 1.1 at all. In fact, I even found the full changelog!

I also found something else that's rather interesting in the FAQs section on the pokerole site:
Q 13: My Pokémon evolves by trade. I want it to evolve but I don't want to lose its Loyalty and Happiness, what should I do?
A: The Pokémon Trading Machine emits a strange type of energy during the trade that triggers evolution in some Pokémon. That doesn't mean the machine is the only way to find this energy, it is simply the most convenient. Ask your Storyteller and work out a solution. Remember that the stated cause of evolution is only the info the Pokédex provides, not the only way to do it. Do not limit yourself.
Gotta love how flexible the pokerole team is with the generality of their game.

Here's another rule we aren't using: apparently you aren't supposed to be able to use the same attack twice in the same round of combat.

Well... that solves the Knockdown shutout conundrum.

@Nylon, we're practically waiting for you then! What Encounter do you want to have?

Wasn't planning to do this anyway.
Oh, and you can remove the '?', I indeed rather go for that young Fletchling instead of that furious evolved bird.

He was on the forums earlier... As an independent outsider commenting, I suspect some handwavium may be in order, since I've hardly ever seen anyone double up slots to begin with and there's enough spare options to neatly slot into an empty option when he's available.
Well... that or... there's going to be sitting around and waiting.

Probably the latter. ._.
I spotted that Nylon lives in a similar, if not the exact same time zone like me.
