RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Dragonstrike - 06-29-2018 (06-29-2018, 07:17 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: "Heh. Ya know, you do remind me of Inari oh so much, Ridia. Unfortunately for him, though, he's now a Noble Wyvreon. Partially because my mother was still experimenting and hadn't discovered what the results were going to be, but I do still wonder how he's taking the whole thing..." ... "...in that case, I have a question for you too, Poe. One of the best ways to keep an aggressive dragon in check is to have a strong, friendly bond to ground them. You'll fill that roll even if Ridia starts to lose herself to pride and anger and starts Outraging, right?" After last night, Reiner has concerns about evolving Ridia into a Savage Wyvereon. If Poe's own sister starts scaring him silly... ... Reiner throws in some clarification as well. "...it's not that I doubt you can, Poe. I think you'd do a spectacular job. I just wouldn't want this to create a rift between you and your sister, that's all. An angry Dragon is something that should by all rights be treated with great caution and respect, friend or foe. Particularly when they're incredibly powerful and experienced ones." RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Lord Windos - 06-29-2018 (06-29-2018, 10:16 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Ridia seemed to preen at the praise of being compared to a fellow Eeveelution , then subsequently cringed in sympathy at the news of him getting Noblized . Omph… she does [i]not [/i]envy a fellow fierce and wild Eevee getting transformed into a wet blanket of a Dragon type, especially since it happened due to more or less incidentally. Hopefully they still have some sparks of defiance left in them... Poe, in a manner completely atypical to his timid self, promptly shifted in your lap to stare you straight in the eyes as he smile and let out a outrageously cute and affirmative "E-Eevee!" The Little Bro ALWAYS ready to support his Big Tough Sis through thick and thin, no matter his own health or if she changes into a viscous Dragon type! Besides, this is his loving, overprotective, and nurturing sister and practically surrogate mother/mother figure we're talking about here. He could NEVER be afraid of her!!! For her part, Sister Fiercest looked offended at the notion that ANYTHING could EVER damage or warp the bond between her and their brother, pausing in devouring her delicious meal to fix you with a deadpan glare that pretty much said: 'We've been close together since long before you entered our lives, and evolving into a Wyvreon is NOT going to change that, so can it buster.' RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Dragonstrike - 06-29-2018 (06-29-2018, 10:40 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: "...my Kingdra nearly tore apart my own family, Ridia. Things are mostly fine between us now, but it's something to still be aware of. I just wanted to make sure you both were fine with this. Being a Savage Wyvreon is going to make you much, much stronger and vicious, much more like my Kingdra. Given enough time, you could maybe even learn Draco Meteor as well since you'd be an actual Dragon type." "Oh, and while I do respect your opinion on what makes a Dragon, Ridia, I wouldn't recommend expressing as much around those other types of Dragons. I don't think Yang in particular would take too kindly to that opinion." "Well then, I suppose that settles that. All that's left of that matter is actually gathering what we need to evolve you, Ridia. I'll tell you what they are later." Out of curiosity, has Emily woken up yet/will she wake up before encounter 1? RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Lord Windos - 06-29-2018 (06-29-2018, 11:08 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Those warnings seemed to mollify Ridia's irritation at your earlier comments, causing her to cringe a bit before slowly nodding her head and returning to eating her breakfast. Every now and again, though, you notice her shooting her brother discretely glance with seriousness and worry in her eyes. She was still fairly confident that nothing would change between her sibling and them after Evolving, but now that you planted that seed of doubt she seemed more...thoughtful about the prospect. Good? From what you know of the regal dragon lord, Yang wouldn't give a damn about Ridia's opinion due to his high self assurance of his Status and how aloof he is, but your advice was still sound and taken into consideration by her. Poe, meanwhile, didn't even flitch at the omen you told, his faith in his sister unwavering as he continued to beam up at you as he let out a downright adorably confident/resolute "Eevee!" to further emphasize this! Hurg, your heart can't take much more of this high potency cuteness! *Rolls* After finishing everyone finished breakfast and was waiting around a bit, it becomes clear that Emily is sleeping in this morning when you haven't received your mourning backbreaking hug from her yet. You could go wake her up, but after the...tough last night she had, maybe that was not a good idea... Arial is lounging in his chair and currently petting his brother Gasper, but both of them were ready to follow your orders, whatever they may be. (Encounters will be coming in the next post!) RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Dragonstrike - 06-30-2018 (06-29-2018, 11:28 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Alright, now that breakfast is over...better make sure there aren't loose ends here. "Mr. Mime, if anyone calls asking for me, I would like to know at the soonest opportunity. And when Emily wakes up...be gentle with her about what happened last night with Mina. I'm sure she'll be wondering about that. Kyubi is to stay here for the time being as well. I'll be back later to check on things." RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Lord Windos - 06-30-2018 (06-30-2018, 12:45 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: The psychic butler, who has been quietly hovering in the background as per standard protocol, gave a solemn, solitary nod of his head in response, before he began to clean up after everyone, packing everything away on the trolley he brought and wheeling off to wherever the kitchens are. You wonder how he's really taking everything that's been happening lately underneath that formal/professional training/composure of his, but it seems that whatever his true feelings are on things they are not interfering in his work or your business. Seeing as you didn't issue any orders for Arial, he just silently follows you out of the A.V. and onto the streets of Celadon, Gasper perched on his shoulder and both looking Alert for anything suspect that might dare throw a wrench in your plans. As for how the mood of the eventful city has faired since last nights events....well, things are certainly tense and uneasy, but it doesn't seem like the public is anymore paranoid or suspicious than they have been lately, so that's great! What's not so great, though, is the increased police presence that are patrolling the central Festival Grounds and the surrounding areas, all of them looking a fair bit more seasoned and attentive than the previous coppers you or the madman had to deal with before. Getting up to mischief would certainly be harder with them loitering around, but then again neither of you have much of a reason at this point to break the law save to make a quick buck, so it balances out in the end. Oh, and three more things to point out: Angelica is currently hanging out in the coffee shop you meet Lindworm in, Erika is nowhere to be found right now-probably still busy getting 'acquainted' with Team Rocket's operations and hierarchy- and that at some point in the day (though not right now in the first Encounter) you'd have to get back in touch with Proton on how you've been handling things....well, if he's not still busy doing IA (Internal Affairs) stuff, anyway.... Saturday Morning Encounters: Officer Karin Cap: 1 (2) Bid: 5XP Difficulty: Hard Reward: $5000 , 3 Pokémon (Theft) ; $1500 Poke and your choice of a Rare Battle Item and TM (Errand) Note: A woman police officer with strawberry hair and such a severe expression that you swear it was chiseled from stone. Your gut tells you she’s tougher than titanium, so crossing the woman of committing foul play on her watch is a….unwise idea without a good plan. Officer Uriel Cap: 1 (2) Difficulty: Easy? Reward: $ 2000 Poke, 2 Police Items/Weapons (Theft); A Moderate Amount of Healing Items (Regular Fighting/Challenge) Note: A blond haired male cope dressed finely, possessing a warm smile and affable manner, but you aren’t fooled for a minute they aren’t capable of defending themselves or others if called to do so… Officer Nathaniel Cap: 1 (2) Bid: 2 XP Difficulty: Moderate to Hard (Depends on who fights him) Reward: $2500, 1 Pokémon, 1 Police Weapon (Theft) ; Double XP (Friendly Battle) Note: Still Patroling the Main Festival Ground with his Arcanine by his side, looking ESPECIALLY vigillent and needle eye for any thieves or disruptive conduct. A hard nut to crack! Gambler Cap: 2 Difficulty: Easy - Moderate* Reward: Depends on what you bet; 1 Rare Item if you decided to just try to rob/steal them (Moderate Difficulty) Note: A female trainer is still hanging around, and is still hosting dice games for wondful prizes for those who can win Lady Luck's Favor! *The Jolly Captain Brimstone!* Cap: 1 Bid: 5XP Difficulty: Hard Reward: $4000 and His Pokémon (Theft) ; Your Choice of a Rare TM or Item(!) (Battle) Note: The rather.....eccentric man dressed as a pirate is still here from yesterday , and is still loudly began boasting and just have a jolly old time! - ~Oddity Fluidity~ Cap: Reiner Only Difficulty: Medium Reward: All their Pokemon (Theft) ; *$25000 and a Unique Item; Double XP (Challenge and ???) Note: An….oddly dressed person that seems to be looking for a suitable challenger or….someone, but so far no one has caught their eye yet…. Tamayaki Stand Cap: 2 Bid: None Difficulty: Hard or Easy Reward: $10000 Poke, 1 Rare Pokémon, Guaranteed Rare Item (Theft Only; HARD) Note: Consonite, they’ve made a killing during the Festival! The Chef is not only still offering food eating challenges and Prize Money for those that complete them AND has now start hiring part time workers to help around, but has started a contest for creating a brand new recipe for the stand, with the grand prize being announced by Sunday Morn! - King of the Wilds Stand Cap: 1 (2) Bid: 5 XP Difficulty: Moderate Reward: $2000 Poke , 1 Pokémon , 3 Random Berries or 1 of his wares (If you can get away with stealing it); Otherwise, he’s a Merchant you can buy/haggle with. Note: This place is now a Free Encounter for Reiner, since he took it the last time and familiarized himself with Grillsby ! Mask Salesman Everything is the same about him since last Encounter. Now is a Free Encounter unless you steal from him. Evolutionary Saleswoman Everything is the same about her since last Encounter. Now is a Free Encounter unless you steal from her. Electrician Nicola Bid: 1 XP Difficulty: Easy Reward: $1000 Poke, an Low Tier Battle Item, and a Pokemon (Theft) ; A Moderate Amount of Poke and ??? (Have to take Encounter to Learn more) Note: Seems this guy is looking fairly irritated and worried as he’s stewing on a bench, head in hands and shaking it, mumbling something about his job or something… Nuclear Research Facility Currently Available, but I doubt you want to get started on this just yet…. Exploring the city, and hitting up at the Festival itself for games/attractions are ever present options as well. Fleeing the city is also STILL an option, the easiest of which is probably accepting the Merchant’s aid, but I seriously doubt Reiner is willing to leave loose ends like the NRF and Malcom/TR hanging… RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Dragonstrike - 06-30-2018 [Actually, The Merchant isn't avaiable atm as I recall because she's dealing with...that.. And I doubt she wants to be disturbed. Friendly reminder!] Okay, 25k and a unique item? And Reiner only? Something weird is going on here...let's check it out! As for Arial...how about he goes and checks out what's going on with that electrician? Not to steal anything, though. No need to risk riling anyone up at this point...curious to see what that ??? is...being helpful also helps throw off suspicion! Oh, and once Arial heads off to do his thing, Reiner also tells Ridia to keep an eye out for a King's Rock and a Destiny Knot. Ya know, just in case. The two eevee get to enjoy the fresh air with Reiner today! (And Reiner will also use the face camo to disguise himself. Also just in case.) RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Lord Windos - 06-30-2018 (06-30-2018, 01:35 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: [Ack, forgot that! Will edit out ASAP!] You noticeably less mad (than usual) bodyguard gives you a crooked smile at your orders, before sticking both hands in his pockets and marches on over to see what's the electrian's deal is. While he's more than happy to go off and do his own thing without you breathing down his neck, he's also not too thrilled either at not being able to do his original job. Still, you are the boss, and after last night he doesn't want to test his luck or your patience, so off he goes! (I'll be doing all their stuff offscreen, so let's move on to the good stuff!) When you go over to investigate that....odd person you caught a glimpse of in the throngs of people, you are able to get a much better look at them....and almost immediately tried to make yourself discrete afterwards, as wierd really doesn't began to do justice to their....uniqueness, and you've begun to associate weird people with those not so terribly good for your stress levels. For starters, the clothing their wearing....well, it was some bizaare mish-mas dress-suit that was either a abomination to all fashion or a REALLY daring way to express oneself. The 'piece' was split down the middle yet seemly/smoothly woven together, with the left half being a fine jet black single piece dress that extended all the way to the calves, and the other half was pristine and stylish white tuxedo that uncomfortably reminded you of a certain purple hair psycho . Additionally, the person was wearing one black high heal and one white dress shoe on their respective sides of the 'piece', and the stranger's hair was similarly made up to match the 'style' of their clothing, with long curly hair on the dress side and fancifully spiked up white hair on the suit side. Finally, their facial feature were almost completely androgynous, with only black eyeliner/shading applied to the 'dress side' of the person and perfectly grey lipstick making them lean towards feminity. Overall....well, I'll just leave it to Reiner [and you, Dragonstrike] to form your own opinion. Before you could make your escape, the person catches sight of you, who quirks their eyebrows for a moment before a small smile forms on their face and they decide to neatly intercept your path, forcing you to confront them head on. Oh joy. "Hmm....I have a good feeling about you. Yes....you'll do nicely. Very nicely...." They said that straight to your disguised face as they swept their gaze up and down your form, their voice complete neutral in regard to maleness/femaleness, but full of curiosity, satisfaction, and airy mirth. After doing their evaluation, they nodded to themselves before looking at you, appearing pleased as they demurely smiled at you and bow with one arm across their chest. "Greetings. I go by the name Fluidity, sir, and I am a collector, researcher, engineer...well, I'm just about everything in regards to extraordinary and fantastical. Or anything that catches my interest, if I am to be frank. I ask you this: would you be interested in challenging me to a battle, and seeing my unique Pokémon? It'll be a real treat for you during and after the battle, I guarantee. I might just also have an offer for you that would leave you financially well off and the talk of this city for quite some time....if you can impress me enough with your performance in our fight, that is, hm hm (this is them laughing, btw). What do you say? Have I piqued your interest, sir?" ...Yeap, they are definitely more than just odd. They are Odd. RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Dragonstrike - 06-30-2018 Fifty-fifty, huh? Hmmm...the Flower Festival certainly brings in all sorts of people, doesn't it? I have a feeling this is going to involve a lot of things that aren't quite what they seem to be... Reiner raises a (disguised) eyebrow. "...you're certainly quite the character, aren't ya? Or would it be more appropriate to say 'characters' in this case? And let me guess...there's gonna be strings attached to that offer, right?" RE: [Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel - Lord Windos - 06-30-2018 (06-30-2018, 02:45 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: The Odd person brought a hand up to their mouth to smother their laughter, until they stopped to grin at you with unabashed amusement. "Blunt as a nine iron too, aren't you sir? How very nice and honest of you, hm hm! No, no, you were right the first time - I'm 'divided but whole' , as some might say. When they aren't too busy trying avoid me, that is, but such is the way of the common man: embrace the dull standards, reject the bizarre happenstance. A boring way to live in my opinion, but its a life of simple comforts too, so I don't really begrudge them." At that moment they smoothly shrugged their shoulders in seeming acceptance of that fact, an easy smile now on their face as they glibly continued. "All offers have their terms and conditions, sir, and mine is certainly not an exception! But, seeing a you haven't even earned the chance to receive it yet, I wouldn't worry about the details. Rather meaningless to do so if you don't know what they even are, hmm? I will tell you this, though: all will be explained if you earn the offer, and you can always refuse if you don't like what you hear. Fair is fair, right?" Fluidity then smoothly transitioned to stating the terms of their challenge, as if they were sure you were going to accept it. Which, in a purely mechanical way speaking, they are spot on in their assumption. "I have 6 Pokémon of my collection with me right now, so I would like to fight and share them all with them if at all possible, though I can certainly be accommodating if you have less than a full team. No Items of any kind besides the nick nacks our Pokémon carry, and no overly gosh tactics like Sleep or OHKO - those styles of play always bring a pale to everything, in my opinion. Beyond that, though....hm hm, anything goes." They place on hand on the hip area and extend their dress hand towards you, and simply says with a bemused smile : "Is that all acceptable, sir?" |
