This was meant more to highlight their benefits in (story) game, and as I also noted, it wasn't meant to be a criticism of the others. The actual viability gap that I calculated between the three was separated by decimal amounts, nowhere near whole numbers, and any pokemon can be viable in-story with a decent moveset and (and this is more necessary for some than others) good EV investment. But, based in resistances, strengths, weaknesses, moves that are likely to be used in-story, and other such factors, I came to the conclusion that Orchynx was statistically slightly better in the story game.

Perhaps that's more what I did wrong here, as this section does lend itself to Metagame matchups and viability, and this is more meant to be a "best for the story" guide. I'll amend the topic title, and if the powers that be see fit, they can move this to a more appropriate location.

Thank you for not taking my suggestions the wrong way, my fellow Uranium mate! I understood your intent behind when writing this guide right away, but felt that I needed to further clarify the matter for trainers that read your thread, both seasoned veterans and youngems. Their are two sides to every Pokémon game, after all.

Don't worry, Fluent, you're not invisible, check your PMs Wink

And as for Windos, no problem. Your concerns were entirely valid and I had overlooked that particular detail when setting up all this, so it was entirely fair to bring that up and make sure that it was clarified, so thank you for that! As has been mentioned before, this section does lend itself more to the Metagame than anything else, so that's more or less my bad there, but I wasn't sure where else to put it. If you or or one of the other moderators thinks there is a better spot for it, feel free to move it.

Pretty sure this is more "General discussion" (or even "Help desk") than "Competitive discussion", since, tbh, one can beat the entire game with only one over-leveled starter, and that's just how story mode is... I mean, competitive is still non-existence at this time and all, but still, if people who only care about story mode and ignore competitive aspect will probably not see this guide and thus flushing half the point of this guide down the drain... So err, might wanna have Cody or Iron move the thread...

Yeah, probably the best, if they would.
@Iron @CodySP
I do admit that it was a bit of a mistake on my part putting it here, but I guess that it'll help avoiding something like this again.

Got you covered.

Alls well that ends well, I suppose! Got any other Pokémon analysis in the works, Raven?

Yeah, I'm planning on putting up my "Best Team (Story) for Uranium" thread (In a similar vein to MysticUmbreon's videos on YT), where I'll be looking at the various pokemon available and compile a team that (in theory) would fare best in a playthrough of the main story, with the choice of Orchlynx being the baseline, as it's the "best" starter for the story, based on my own analysis.

As a new semester of college has begun as of last week for me, it may be a little bit yet before I finish that and get to finishing up my Uranium Sun and Moon resprite project, although I now have a larger foothold on completion due to the very generous donation of sprites ready to convert from leparagon over on Deviantart, so that'll be getting done sooner than I anticipated.
