RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Redstone - 02-26-2024 (02-26-2024, 10:05 AM)Lord Windos Wrote: *Shrugs* Nothing is stopping you from having Mercy on Florge, either catching them and/or putting out the fire with Scald (they're already Burnt, so paradoxically it'd put her out no problem - still hurt tho) and leaving, giving your Patron the Cutieflie as the Offering instead. The Patron would be far more impressed and generous with getting Florges, but they never specified a particular Target. It's also the fairly cruel option, but...well, what do you owe to a Florge anyway? That, and a happier/more satisfied Patron, the more leeway and Boons you get too... no easy option unless you want your PC to go down amorality path. In which case, they'd become the Ven of the campaign - which is...well! We'd have to wait and see, eh? Maybe I should have read this before starting to type but I don't regret my choice. Is this the start of his evil arc? Probably not but in his eyes she was unsavable. I'll instead use this post to complain about my own decisions with the horse. Not investing into dex before realizing most physical moves use exactly that lol. In which case, they'd become the Ven of the campaign - which is...well! We'd have to wait and see, eh? Evil? Who knows? For now, he's just a very loyal devotee to his Patron, eager to overachieve if it means accomplishing his life's goals and staying on Her good side. Which, consider who the Patron is, it could be argued any Evil action is justified not to EVER end up in Her Disfavor, or worse, irritate or bore them.... In all seriousness, I don't really care if you make morally ambigious or even outright EVIL PCs, so long as your Actions don't negatively impact other Players without their Permission or they (other Players and their PCs) do something that 'justifies' messing with them or retaliation. Given that this Event happened in a pocket dimension FAR away from anyone else that could judge you poorly....yeah, you're getting away with only the dirty feeling (if any) of ruthlessly pleasing your Patron. EDIT: Getting to Post ASAP! RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Dragonstrike - 02-26-2024 (02-26-2024, 10:31 AM)Redstone Wrote: Maybe I should have read this before starting to type but I don't regret my choice. TBF, from how I've seen Windos handle Burn 3 in the past and from the description of Florges's eyes literally melting, I'd think finishing them off would be the merciful thing to do as well. Even if Florges survived, it would likely be horribly scarred and half blind at best from what Windos described. Definitely not a pretty sight. Slow but steady! Just gotta make every hit count when you have low dex. And compensate for it with high Fight, high specialties, Clashing, and absurd bulk. In my games Potions and Poke Center Healing are pretty much Pancea Turbo for all but the most crippling of injuries or genetic conditions (and Magical Maladies like Curses) - though in the case of Florge's Eyes it'd probably take them a week or two to fix her up if Caught. Not even Full Restores can help if you get body parts outright deleted or horrifically mutilated enough - Taylor from CCV can attest to that with the, ahem, body modifcation she got from a Salamance. So on the balance...probably more merciful to kill her . Safer for Red's PC too, since I have little doubt the Fairy would hold a Grudge BIG time and/or become a tramuatized wreck from it all and lash out in fear/terror at them. Considering what I have planned as a Boon from the Patron, getting DEX up might not be too much of a problem in the short to mid term... Also, FYI: After Red's Encounter is done, I'll be doing a Mega Post gathering everyone together, so stay tunned for that sometime today! Yeah, traumatized and/or vengeful Fairies are probably not something we want to be dealing with quite yet... RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Spiritmon - 02-26-2024 Alright. Awesome thanks in the char sheet mate! You are awesome! I just going to change a thing in my char sheet. I think Brawl will be more useful than Weapon for what I have in mind. One minute please. Just going to change a few things. RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 02-26-2024 Quote:(...)Totem Florge is Dead.(...) Oh heavens, oh boi, oh f#ck! *redacted keysmashing* But...I'm somewhat suprised over myself how relatively well I'm taking that, having completely overreacted to any Pokemon or chara death before. Yeah, having been properly warned befote the csmpaign's start that this can happen has helped GREATLY , and is much appreciated. RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Dragonstrike - 02-26-2024 Right then. Here we go! Introduction time! RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Spiritmon - 02-26-2024 Not the best image I found, but it will do heh. Just to mentioning it was a image I found on pinterest and made edits using a art program to ad the colors and the letters. My art talents is non existant, so it was the best I could do. If I...forgeting something to add in my char intro just say people. If I...forgeting something to add in my char intro just say people. I took one look at it and thought 'oh, that's Dendra'. Can definitely see it has only minor edits. But it's cool. Different note though: I remember Phantom's character being the one with the stylus shaped gemstone and being indicated as the Wistful Soul in the intro. Not sure what shape your gemstone is nor which of the other two Souls you are exactly because I don't think Windos described either explicitly yet. |
