RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 08-07-2024 I forgot to send you the PM Phantom! Sorry, gonna send right away along with the books. Speaking of which Dragon. Are you interested in play in the future Pathfinder 2e? I can send you the books I have if you want. And if you would be interested, what kind of character you would like to play? Sorry, gonna send right away along with the books. Maybe. I'm not super familiar with all of Pathfinder's differences compared to DnD, so I'd need to read the books over. There more options available in other books, and the Pathbuilder 2e show all the options, but the books by itself have a lot of options. I have a feeling you might like the Champion, who is basically the paladin of Pathfinder 2e. Or maybe the Magus, who is basically a spell blade. Check the app and then tell me what you think! You remember some of our prior conversations about character archetype preferences well, I see. But there some other cool options if the champion might be not your caveat. You see tomorrow. Gonna sleep now. Have a awesome night mate! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 12-08-2024 @Lord Windos @PhantomUnderYourDesk @Spiritmon @no one @Mikaruge108 As briefly mentioned in the Meta Thread for Wild Lands, I've been waiting for Windos to return from his impromptu hiatus before starting this discussion. Now that he's back (however briefly), I'd like to talk a little bit about where to take the campaign from here. ----------------------------- Let me start with the initial goal of Chapter 3: Finding the Legendary Beasts and defeating Shadow Ho-oh. Open secret at this point. No matter what you guys do, you'll need to work towards this goal to complete the chapter. Simple enough, right? Well, here's the little snag I've been a little hung up on: Scope. My initial plan was to allow you guys a little more freedom in choosing where to go and when to tackle the main objectives, as well as start introducing side objectives to make things a little less linear. I've already laid a bit of groundwork for that with the choices you've made to go to the Water and Mist Continents, as well as Darkula's various appearances up until this point. I have other things planned that you might find fun, and a fair few of those ideas would also lead to story relevant rewards (which I will likely not elaborate on because spoilers!). I do realize this has been dragging on for awhile though, so I'd like to ask you guys how we should tackle this. Do you want a little more freedom in choosing which missions you'd like to go on, or would you like a more guided, linear focus on the story (similar to how I ran Chapters 0-2)? ------------------------------ Similar to what Windos is doing in WL, I'd also like to ask if you guys want to run a more holiday-flavored adventure for this campaign! I think I can cook up something for that relatively quickly. In fact, I think I have a few ideas already. ------------------------------ Lastly, this question is directed more at Windos specifically: how are you feeling about your participation in the campaign so far? If you need a break, I can put Platina in the background for a bit while you focus on other things. ------------------------------ Once again, Happy Holidays everyone! Looking forward to picking up where we left off in both campaigns! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Mikaruge108 - 12-08-2024 Scope: Either way works for me (and Karen), so whichever approach would be easier for you to maintain barring emergency hiatuses gets my vote. Holiday theme: This definitely gets my vote. Happy holidays, and likewise RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 12-09-2024 (12-08-2024, 05:04 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: @Lord Windos @PhantomUnderYourDesk @Spiritmon @no one @Mikaruge108 Well well well, I'm happy to see that my return sparked this one! Been missing Primal Shadows, and I was worried it was effectively canceled due to IRL contraists (like my campaign), but it's good that isn't the case YET! In retrospect the goal of the chapter is obvious, though I do wonder if my PC - even with the Sky Plate and some training with it - can stand up to such Legendary threats. Or if her backstory won't find a way to rear its head, for good or ill....guess we'll see how it pans out, eh mates? On the subject on Linearity vs Non-Linearity: I want what gives us the most progress with the least amount of planning fuss. If that means sacrificing the freedom that was on offer in past campaigns and go back to more of a Mt Coronet Style adventure, then so be it. My own PC goals is getting Platina's Instincts to MAX and her on the path of fully realizing her potential (and also getting rid of her Shadow-ness...) , and a faster, more consistent update schedule that a Linear Story is the way to go in my books. On Holidays: Yes! Would be nice way for us both to get back into the spirit of things (heh), and it'd be good for the PCs to have some levity and practice before they're off to save the world! On Platina: ...I honestly want to continue to participate in your campaign, but if I do I'll have to schedule my own campaign around it. Probably only playing on 'off' campaign days or when I can get to it, though I don't imagine it'd take more than 3 - 4 days for me to respond back, even when pressured by SCHOOL. Is that acceptable, my friend? |
