RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Mikaruge108 - 03-29-2025 Happy 5 year anniversary of the game everyone! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 03-30-2025 Happy 5th anniversary!!~ I find it lowkey funny that at this point we're still faaar from the end of the campaign. But life be life-ing, I'd guess, haha! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 03-30-2025 Five years already?! Bloody hell, we still need to get in the game. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 05-07-2025 @Spiritmon @PhantomUnderYourDesk @'no one' @Mikaruge108 I'm a little late to the 5 year anniversary celebrations, but hoo boy. That long, and there's still plenty to get through. Need to get moving again, so let's get the wheels turning once more. It's about time I made another announcement with Windos fully back at last. ...well, sort of back. I'm sad to say that after a discussion with him, Windos shall be stepping away from this campaign for the time being so he can focus on running Wild Lands. Platina (and Pyra) will still be an important character, but I'll be the one making most of the decisions for them until further notice. Windos may still jump in when big story fights happen, so he'll still be around! He just won't be an active player. This does mean there is an open spot for a new player now though. I am currently inquiring with other players to see if they may be interested in joining. ---------- Now, to talk a bit about the Special Episode, I have a mechanical question for you all. I'm planning on featuring a single mystery dungeon during the event, and it's a big one. I can feasibly run it in one of two ways and I'd like your input on it. - We can continue with the map tiles navigation system we've been using, but make the average floor size smaller to speed up exploration. Could take longer, but you may also be able to make some fights and navigation optional with good pathing - or I could make it a more linear experience with fewer choices needed by the players, but with less opportunity to skip parts of the dungeon. Either way, there will be an option to leave the dungeon early at predetermined points once the main objective is accomplished, but there may be an extra special reward for sticking it out and completing the entire dungeon as well! How's this all sound to you guys? Let me know your thoughts on this. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Mikaruge108 - 05-07-2025 (05-07-2025, 11:05 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote:either is fine for me RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 05-07-2025 I sad for Windos going away from the campaign but it is understandable. Hope in the future he be capable of play of once. As for what type of experience I do like the exploration so I prefer choice 1. I like the opportunities of exploration. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 05-07-2025 WOHOOOOO, it's time for that Special Episode!! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° Treasures, trinkets, and epic quests and battles! This week being an RP-week intensifies with TheWildLands being actiive again, this campaign getting a reload, and session zero of a new DnD-campaign on Saturday.Very excited, joyous, and anxious as heck about it all. Ah, I'll definitely miss Windos playing Platina, I enjoyed seeing and reading that. But I do understand the situation indeed, so no worries or hard feelings - deligted to see that Platina and Pyra are not whipped off existence though. I'd prefer the following option: Quote:We can continue with the map tiles navigation system we've been using, but make the average floor size smaller to speed up exploration. Could take longer, but you may also be able to make some fights and navigation optional with good pathing For the sole reasons that that system's what I am used with, and it feels good and more comfortable to continue using that to get back into gears. If things take longer due to that option, that's perfectly fine - more space for exploration, collecting loot, and having hopefully-successful battles. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - no one - 05-07-2025 Well, the side story thing sounds fun, but I'd ideally prefer to not spend too long on it because we've already lost quite a lot of time. Exploration is good and all but it adds a lot of time to campaigns (we're in free roam mode in my campaign atm and I'm somewhat regretting it because it's been a day and a half in-game even though free roam started months ago) so I'd prefer to have a slightly more linear thing with the side story before we go back to the main story. |
