As Kyuu came to her after landing the hit that ended the battle to his Master's favour, Shiva picked the grey kitten up in her arms. But not only that, she also snuggled up him very tight yet soft (yes, this is possible). It was practically the first real battle for the Espurr, he didn't even knew how to use his psychic powers, but he made that up with his claws. Right, he made it in the end. Nothing can be changed about that. This made her day.

Besides, Shiva could indeed get used to battle with audience. It was new to her, very new, but it felt...good. That little attention received was a nice boost to both her self-confidence as well as her wounded mind. It felt like being the main actor for a short sweet time, the one who doesn't have to fear being overshadowed. On top of that, her performance wasn't even that bad, at least in her view. Neither here in Chreshire (if there were, she'd hear about that as she informed herself about the region before visiting it) nor at home in Unova Contests are held, though. Didn't matter, there were other ways to taste more of this sweet spotlight! The crowd can go insane as much as it wants, Shiva will just stay here, being the old calm self she was on the outside, while internally enjoying every moment of this to bits.

It looks like people placed bets on who would be victorious in this battle. This flattered her not a little, but much. Hehehe...

However, Fennekin was... well, there was something wrong about him. Her feelings told Shiva that it's nothing to worry though, so she was fine to just...watch in all peace... In fact, watch how her magical fox learned to stand on only on his hind legs. As the red light faded, she came over to her newly evolved, actually very first evolved ever, Braixen. Fox was weak, but he was giving a glace at his Master that said EVERYHING. Appreciation, thankfullness, determination, pride. Strength. And magic. Shiva's voice was the lowest ever, probably only audible for Braixen himself, but every single world was filled with pure appreciation. "I told you... that one day, you'll be able to use that basswood stick to send signals and create patterns out of embers. I didn't imagine that this day shall be that soon... Thank you." He received a few strokes over his cheeks. The fur was just as soft and warm as it was on Fennekin. "But you're hurt. Come back into your Pokeball, I'll make sure that you'll be healed up." She withdrew Braixen, Kyuu as well as Raphael, who was watching the battle from a place next to Shiva as soon as he got withdrawn from the battlefield.

Before she could do anything though, the captain of the ship personally camr to her. My, really? What an honour. She listened to his words and congratulations with awe, and glady accepted the Charcoal as a gift. She bowed to him in thanks for both this item as well as being allowed to hold that battle on deck at all. Didn't expected to become part of the entertainment program of the cruise, bit it'd be a lie to say that she didn't enjoyed it~

As soon as the crowd has scattered a little and Shiva brought her wounded Pokemon to the infirmary - she was told that they'll be alright and about in no time if she's up for not leaving the ship right away - she began to search for Nightshade herself. Last time she saw her, was she spraying Potions on her wounded Pokemon... She can't be far away.

[+]In case she finds her:

As soon as Shiva received her Pokemon back from healing, she gave the ship and its inhabitants a last view with a dear smile, before tunring around and heading to the Pokemon Center. The others could be finished with their Gym Battle by now, too. If they were, she'll most likely find them in the Lobby of the Center.

As Shiva arrived in the Center, the first thing she turned to was the PC. She wanted to check and confirm a few things. If Nathan and Ventus are indeed ther in the Lobby, they might see here, while she hasn't so far. Ventus would pick up that in comparison to yesterday, she was radiating happiness, honest delight and some developing confidence in her own skills, while on the outside she seemed slent, yet all vivid and vital. This state of positive emotional daze will be present in her for the rest of the day.

Hmm, well , I can think of one explaination, but I don't know when that opportunity occurred if that is the case,' the researcher thought, before letting shaking his and placing a hand on his forehead.

  "I can think of one answer to this conundrum: your Porygon managed to hack into my Pokedex and downloaded my contacts list for SOME reason. Perhaps he just wanted to make sure you had my phone number and details, in case something happened? Well, in any case, I won't ask you to delete the number, but don't call any of them unless I disappear or....worse. Though, this reminds me....I haven't called Cynthia and told her the good news about Raphael's evolutions! Do you mind if I go over to one of the internation telephone here and see if I can get in touch with them, before we continue our conversation?" Ventus said, looking fairly happy at his child's growth and accomplishments. She did make he promise to keep her updated on Togepi's development, and if this was not the case...

Order: See if I can get in touch with Cynthia, or at least leave her a message about Raphael evolution and growth? If this does end up a protracted conversation, I'm willing to flashback to it at a latter time!

The dreams of the teddy are so tasty that Gastly cannot pull himself away until the Pokemon faints! Sally picks up the bear and runs away without a word. She's not quite crying, but her face is awash with color.

You don't think her anxiety of ghosts was assuaged.



That encounter would normally be worth 3 Xp, doubled to 6. So Gastly gains 6XP and Valder gains 3XP.

Ventus was a bit disappointed that he could tell her about Raphael's changes directly, but he expected he'd have difficulty contacting her; she was always so busy with whatever job she had. 'Whatever it may be, I do hope it brings her as much joy as mine does. Its part of the reason why he lent her Raphael to accompany them while Nathan and him took on Chuckles: he wanted them to help cheer her up AND safeguard her wellbeing. 'By Reshirim and Zekrom, WHAT caused such a miraculous development in her? I estatic about the wonderful change, but this most unexpected....and perhaps worrisome. If she experience another depressive episode, I may have to moniter her and see if she has Manic Depressive Syndrome,' the empath though, hurrying over to go check on his dearest friend.

Ah, she knew that voice very well. Looks like she wouldn't have to search for the others.

Closing tabs on the screen that showed the altered move pool for her newly evolved Pokemon, she turned the PC off to focus her attention on Ven. Should have known that if she'd ran into him now, he'd pick the switch in her emotional state - in fact, Shiva herself was rather suprised about it. Just yesterday - and today morning - , she was a picture of misery that refused to get out of the dorm, while today she felt like she transformed to a Magical Girl. It was amazing how quick and remarkable her emotions can change.

She gave him a dear smile that expressed delight over seeing him. "You ask what has happened...? Uhm... Well, eh, this happened." Without further explanation, she drew Fe- Braixen's Pokeball to call him out. (I assume my Pokemon has been healed up to full health there in the cruise's infarmary, alright?) He chirped at his Shiva in delight, and had to get used to the thought of having free hands by standing on his hind legs first. With his 3'03", he had a way better overview of his surrounding, and was able to look Master in the eyes without turing his head up to an almost painful degree. If he evolves further and surpasses 5'07" (default for Delphox is 4'04"), he'll be just a high in size as his Master. Braixen was also fixing Ventus in a curious way. How would he react to the increased magic the fox was representing now?

"I visited a cruise that was anchoring at the harbour after stopping by at a pharmacy, and won a battle against a female sailor by hair. Fennekin decided it was a good moment to... " She gasped a little berfore speaking it out "...evolve."

"Besides, here's also Raphael. He did very well in his role as protector and guidance, and even caught the attention of people on the cruise! Therefor, thank you for lending him to me..." Before Ventus could do or say anything, he found Shiva leaning into him closely in a faint embrace, snuggling up to his comfy green tweed outfit. She was so delighted over the outcome of the battle, that she didn't cared whether others in the Lobby saw or Ventus himself would be flustered by her expression of appreciation and care towards him.

She also picked up that... "there is a faint smell of incense on you... smells good~ What has happened there in the Gym? And...were you people victorious?"

Ventus, after his experience in dealing with Chuckles Ghost and their maladies, was especially on edge to the paranormal or arcane today, so when he saw Shiva's Braixen....he flitched at their presence hard. Taking a couple of steps back away from magical fox, the researcher's left hand started to subtly twitch towards his satchel, and ended up plunging within it to withdraw the half used incense stick he used earlier, before he lit it up and took a deep inhale of it, coughing only slightly from the pungent lavender smoke. He gave a weak, wane smile at his friend, happy for her fox's accomplishment, but....not so euthesied by his increased magical prowess.

"That....most fortuotuous to hear, Shiva! It soothes my soul to know that my....dismal mistakes have not caused lasting damage to your psyche. What type of medications are you taking to counteract the possible symptoms of...well, you know. I'm also gladdened by your most victory against that sea lass you described. Judging by the intense feelings I am receiving when you spoke about her, she must he pressed you and your Pokémon to your limits! As for Braixen's new form.....forgive my wariness, but old instincts die hard. Chuckle's spiritual Pokémon vexed me and Apsis to the extreme, so I'm...very sensitive around magical or mystical entities for the time being. Once I have fully recovered from that ordel and we have time to get to know one another more, we will certainly get along together," the researcher said, puffing away at his impromptu cigerete to calm his suddenly tense nerves. He didn't want to alienate either the lass or her fledgling mage fox, but it was...hard for him to let go of the past. He's trying, but people like him rarely change so swiftly...

The empath was quite grateful to receive his archangel once more, but he was not expecting to be assaulted with a cuddle hug. Thankful that his smoking incense was doing a fantastic job of conceling his blush, Ven rather timidly returned the half hug she had given him. 'I was...not expecting this outcome, but...its nice to know that I have not ruined things between us. And...that someone care for me deeply, like her...' When she asked about the incense and his gym battle, he meaningfully glanced at the incense he was currently burning/smoking, before telling her: "I see you didn't get the voice message I sent you, but that is alright. Nathan and I emerged victorious from Chuckle's Ghost Gym, and have claimed our badges and prize money! I also managed to gain something else their, some photographs I have a feeling you might enjoy as much as I did when the event depicted in them occurred...."

Ventus then brought his digital camera from his satchel, and showed her the pictures of the 'snake kissed' Nathan, and told her the story (Heavily doctored and altered so that she doesn't wise up that Nathan has that abomination of his....) about how he ended up in such as state, a bemused expression lighting his face up the whole time. Ahh...comedy gold that was!

Ventus's quick departure to call Cynthia warrants an eyebrow raise from Nathan...hmmm...he didn't think Ventus told him everything concerning that situation with the contacts...

Though Ventus noticing Shiva quickly derails that line of thought (so Porygon2 isn't getting questioned about the contacts exchange right this moment. Lucky him).  Nathan has a small smile on his face when he sees how happy she is.  He didn't need Kirlia's help with that this time.  'It's good that she seems so happy.  That's easily the best way to fight off the gloom, after all.'

That smile quickly disappears when Ventus pulls out the camera, though...

He turns beet red from the sheer embarrassment and tries to make himself as small as possible...which is quite hard to do when there's a giant snake napping on your lap...it would have been mostly fine if Ventus had shown anyone else...but Shiva? Ugh...nope, he just couldn't bear the thought of her seeing his dignity laid low so easily, particularly now that it was becoming a reality...well, at least the butler and Chuckles hadn't laughed when it happened...well, he didn't remember them laughing...

Kirlia chuckles again.  Friendship is a wonderful thing, no?
