RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 05-14-2020 Quote:- Does that provided satchel count as Accessory, does it take a Slot to carry around? And is Kee able to bring BOTH the satchel and his guitarbag into Rough Rock Mountain, granting him space for 10 additional Items (since guitarbag is already holding 5) @PhantomUnderYourDesk - It does not take up an accessory slot. You can bring both bags, yes. - The tour did not count as an encounter. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 05-14-2020 Welp, my guess for the group's home base price being roughly around the amount of money all our Big Nuggets are worth was spot on, as I didn't think Dragonstrike would let us have that much dosh at the start unless you planned for us making some major purchase(es) in the near start of the campaign. Not a bad way to set things up for us, really, since it gets us invested in Sahra, a place where the group can do all sorts of stuff without some random johney spying on us, and could potentially become a rally point for any future guild(s) our charas may or may not set up. In terms of reducing the cost and time of construction (if possible), the easiet way is just nixing or drastically reducing Dax's desire for the home base to being semi-aquatic and making the base medium - smallish (Two Rooms for Boys and Girls, a main living room of sorts, kitchen/larder , and storage/trophy room [Possibly tripling as a general Crafting workshop] ). Giving his and Pyra's room their own personal pools and whatever constitutes a plumbling system for the rest of the house would probably drive the price down by a few thousand Poke, and keeping the base small at the start and later expanding upon it as the group grows and gets more cash/influence would be the smartest way to go get our place built cheap as possible. Further ways to driving down costs is asking to build the house in the least desirable real estate too, which while coming with its own set of issues in the short term could be remided by paying for landscaping services in the future and/or just fixing up the area ourselves when the group has the resources to do so. Finally, if favors can be done to reduce the cost, they should be at least considered if our group can handle them, but at this point in the game I'm not sure ANYONE would be willing to hand out important tasks to newbies like our 'mons (or have tasks that they can reasonably do) . So....what do you think of me suggestions, mates? RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 05-14-2020 Let's see...according to my calculations, even if everyone pay together, our quantity would be only around 22.108. You guys have over 50k if you all sell your Big Nuggets. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 05-14-2020 (05-14-2020, 12:04 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Let's see...according to my calculations, even if everyone pay together, our quantity would be only around 22.108. Group has 5 Big Nuggets to their name + whatever else extra Poke/wealth they have from their personal stockpiles (mostly concerning Kee/Phantom right now), so that's roughly $50.000 Poke to work with as a baseline budget. I rather not spend Pyra's Big Nugget, however, so slash 10K from that amount and that's what everyone has to spend on the house. Like I said in my previous post, there are several possible methods to reduce the cost to something far less steep if we're willing to compromise on quality and quantity of the home and land in the short - mid term, but if no one (not you, mate!) budges on there desires.....well, we're gonna be without a home for a long time unless we stumble upon some lucratic prospects (which will undoubtabley come at some detriment to us on some level or kind) . RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 05-14-2020 (05-14-2020, 12:00 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: I think it's the best solution possible. In the future when we get more money, we could build a pool for Daxter to swimming. It's not the same thing, but it is a idea. We could try also in the future find a health soil to use as a place to plant Berries, but right now, your suggestions is the best course at the moment. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 05-14-2020 (05-14-2020, 12:00 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: Welp, my guess for the group's home base price being roughly around the amount of money all our Big Nuggets are worth was spot on, as I didn't think Dragonstrike would let us have that much dosh at the start unless you planned for us making some major purchase(es) in the near start of the campaign.(...) Hahaha, same. Quote: Eh, I don't really have any opinion about that, base-wise I'm totally fine with the basics and any way to reduce costs. But I kinda DO wish for at least a small green area for Kee to grow Berries as Berries are much more important and valid in PMD than they are in classical Pokemon Games, and I've been told that instead of keeping the Berry Pot from Mt.Coronet Mystery I shall build up a whole garden. That, and yes I indeed still have my Big Nugget, willing to part with it since I've got funds from my Gold Ribbon anyway. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 05-14-2020 Alrighty mates, if I got this right the majority of us got a a general 'yes' to the Basic Home Base Plan, which (for now) entails the following: - Two Bedrooms/Barracks, one for Males and the other for Females. If we get any Genderless Pokemon (or Transgender, however baffling a possibility that'll be) joining up later, they can sleep in whichever room they prefer. Both should have at least a pool of some size for whatever they want to use it for, and a way to drain/clean it if need be (If we haven't already gotten to the point of having individual rooms for group members and their followers). Anything else can be personalized at a later date. - A Living Room/General Area; Probably going to be the largest room if we want it to be the mingling/reception part of the base, and if we want it to do doable duty as our dining room and meeting place. - A Larder and Kitchen Area, where Food is prepared and stored for everyone. This doesn't stop or prevent anyone from keeping their own foodstuffs with them in their own section of their Bedroom or at Kang's, but having a designated place to stockpile rations would be a good idea RP and logistically wise. - A Storage/Trophy Room for all Group/Guild supplies and mementoes; we could also make part of it an ultra secure treasury of sorts for funds/riches we don't want to keep with Duskull/Kangaskhan, just in case we want an emergency fund that's not tied to the town (in case complications arise between us and the townsfolk, or the group needs to ditch Sahra quietly). That, and setting up a small workshop here would be ideal, since the supplies would be organized and close to where they'll be processed, but that doesn't mean a workshop can't be installed anywhere else or cobbled together later post house build. - Some amount of arriable land to grow Berries and other farmable foodstuffs. Thems some valuable, useful, and good eatings , Berries and Seeds are! - Perhaps some sort of defensive perimeter around the base/home itself, if we want to be paranoid about our charas getting unwanted company at this stage in the campaign. Probably want to specify to Machamp we don't want windows that can't be securely barred against intruders and a sturdy and lockable enough door that can keep our base nice and private, at the very least. That all sounds about right? Because if so, I'll get to Pyra redrafting our house plans to Machamp ASAP! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 05-14-2020 How about some sort of training place to be add? To help everyone in get better in their training in various areas like speed, strength, endurance of something? Like a academy or training grounds? RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 05-14-2020 (05-14-2020, 02:35 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: That all sounds about right? Aside from that, nice summary of the House/Base Plan, sounds right to me, dear!~ |
