RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-03-2019 Ah. So not only shiny, but some extras on top of that. Kee mumbles something around the lines of 'Arrogant snob wanting an extraordinaire pet, okay then~' and only barely makes it to not facepalm. He also lets the kitsune-mother sniff on his as much as she likes, easily understeanding that she only wants to make sure her offspring end up in good hands. He's taking care to not touch her or to make any fast moves as she 'tests' him, and solely to her he whsipers a calm "Being extra-cautious, are we?~ Well, what I can assure you is that the young stays with me, maybe you too are familiar with the cliché of young men buying cute and cuddly Pokemon for their ladies as a gift. Eh...." Oh, and he also successfully sweet-talks Octavia so that she lets Ninetales at least for short sniff at her before she ducks into his bag again. Hehehehe.... That smile is returned. "Well, aren't we some lucky ones then, as we've got a deeeeeaaaaal!~~" Kee offers him his hand, and as he lets go, he's leaving 200$ with Felix. "Oh c'mooooon, I CAN'T take it for free. See it as some protective charge or as a tip for good serice, as ya please. Well, NOW then....." He'll pick the Egg that catches his eye first. Before he leaves though: "Oh right, ya don't know where to get an Incubator from here in town, or do ya by chance?" The one Octavia came in as an Egg Kee obviously does not have anymore, as he got that Egg when he was 11 years old. (He's 24 now.) (Did that take an Encounter at all? o.o We were basically just talking. If it didn't, then we'll go search Snowpoint for a nice Incubator for that Egg and Fertilizer for Berry growing, before going to meet up with Karen and Ran at the entrance of the Temple, that Deltra Grotle by his side and the Egg with him in return for Yurei. Kee dislikes having to deposit her, he dislikes it with with a particular emphasis - but he rather does that than suffering the pain of seeing the lovely spectral bird faint due to icy assaults.) RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-03-2019 (07-03-2019, 04:59 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Ninetales moves between Kee and the eggs before the colorful trainer can pick one. "Ah ah ah, not so fast. Ninetales and the father still need to test and observe you and your pokemon before we can give you the youngun'. I think Ninetales wants to see how that Shiny Sylveon of yours handles herself in a battle. So, how about it? A quick 2v2 double battle with no fainting allowed. I use Ninetales and the father, you use Sylveon and another pokemon of your choice. That change your mind any?" RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-03-2019 "Guess today it's not you day, am I right? Nagi! Hidden Power, Night Shade and Psywave!" RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-03-2019 Candice pouts a little at that comment from Kogeki. It's hard to maintain a cheery attitude when your opponent is rubbing in that you're losing the battle. Kogeki vs Candice Round 5 Hidden Power 1 (6)(5)(3)(3)(3)(4)(2) (6)(6)(2)(2)(4)(3) Medicham takes 3 damage and... (3) ...faints! "...*sigh*...okay, okay, guess I REALLY need to get serious now, or you're going to cream me and my pokemon. That's quite the strong Fire type you have there." Is Nagi staying out? RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-03-2019 Kogeki was a bit bad in make her foe feel that way. "...My apologies for what I said before. You been fighting very much well until now with spirit and honor. Sorry for have diminished your efforts." Nagi puffer a bit with proud. "Indeed he is. His Prankster ability combined with his Hidden Power fire make him capable to almost all times capable of hit first, no matter how much quick the foe is. Not to mention the first time it's, it changes the weather. But this is the beginning. The flow of the battle always flow." "Nagi stays." RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-03-2019 "Well, I think I'm going to have to run circles around him if I'm going to beat him, then." Candice smirks, then she whistles. ...and her Weavile drops from the ceiling as stealthily as any ninja! "Ya know what they say: the best way to beat a Ghost is to use a Dark type!~" Weavile's exerting her Pressure! Nagi's Will is temporarily halved! Round 6 Initiatives Weavile: (3) + 12 = 15 Nagi: 11 RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-03-2019 (07-03-2019, 06:08 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: "Well, I think I'm going to have to run circles around him if I'm going to beat him, then." Nagi will evade the dark type move Weavile had and them use Nigh Shade and Peck. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-03-2019 Kogeki vs Candice Round 6 Anticipating the Dark type move seems like a good plan! But will it work? Night Slash 1 13 - 2 = 11 (6)(4)(5)(1)(2)(4)(1)(3)(5)(2)(4) 5 successes. That's a crit. Evade 1: (5)(5)(2)(2) 2 successes. That's not enough to dodge the move, but it IS enough to reduce the move's accuracy roll to 3 successes, which is NOT a crit. Nagi has a better chance to survive the attack thanks to that Evade. 4 + 3 + STAB - 3 + SE = 5 D6 + 1 (3)(1)(3)(2)(1) By some miracle, Nagi managed to dodge the majority of the blow! Candice and Weavile are simultaneously stunned! Nagi takes 1 damage! 6/7 HP Weavile's in a bit of a pickle now, since Candice needs to choose her moves carefully...she's comfortable with attempting to use a second Dark move, though! Feint Attack 2 13 - 4 = 9 (5)(5)(4)(2)(3)(3)(1)(1)(4) 4 + 2 + STAB - 3 + SE = 4 D6 + 1 (1)(1)(1)(3) Another miracle! Nagi's dodging the brunt of these Dark moves like it's nobody's business! Nagi takes 1 damage! 5/7 HP -1 Pain Now he can FINALLY retaliate! Night Shade 2 (6)(3)(6)(2) (6)(2)(2) Weavile takes 1 damage 7/8 HP Candice knows that Kogeki has a Steel type on his team thanks to Nami, and she knows that Nagi is a Ghost type thanks to Night Shade, so Weavile only declared 3 actions this Round. And the third and final action is a gelid punch delivered straight to Nagi's head! Ice Punch 3 13 - 6 = 7 (6)(4)(6)(3)(4)(1)(6) That's a crit! 4 + 3 + STAB - 3 + Crit - Resisted = 7 D6 - 1 (6)(5)(1)(1)(4)(4)(2) Nagi takes 2 damage! 3/7 HP -2 Pain! (-) Freeze chance nullified by the Sunny Weather Nagi proceeds to valiantly poke Candice's Weavile with the last of his moveslots for this battle! Or try to, at least. Peck 3 8 - 6 - 2 = 0 D6 Well, in this instance, the move will simply fail, as Nagi knows he can't pull this move off as easily. Nagi's also having it rough enough as it is, and this was a reasonable gamble! Nagi's Leftovers restore 1 HP! 4/7 HP -1 Pain 1 Round of Sunny Weather remains! Candice and Weavile are dumbfounded. How did he...? And why didn't he use a Fire move??? Nagi, encouraged by this turn of events, is confident that Kogeki can handle the situation. Nagi gains 1 Will Point. Okay, so Nagi DEFINITELY isn't staying in for the next Round. Who's facing Weavile next? Don't forget that Pressure will temporarily halve their Will. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-03-2019 Kogeki himself was stunned, but he is gladly for this turn of events. "Great job Nagi. Return for now." He holds the Pokeball and decided to go to the next of his plan. "So. Sunny Day huh? Not the best weather to fight it. I just hope my next Pokemon deal some good damage against you." Kogeki has to careful choose his next Pokemon. "Come! Hime-no-Hachi!" And Kogeki bring his fourth Pokemon. "Don't underestimate the power of the ninjas. I show you our strength." Well then, taking another step by trying to pet that snow turtle to see how she reacts to human affection. He withdraws his hand quickly, just in case she bites. Forgot to reply to this earlier. Juhani is reeeeaaaaallly awkward when it comes to receiving human affection. She doesn't bite, but it still makes her a little uncomfortable. It's not something she's used to any more, but it's not something she's entirely unfamiliar with, either. She relaxes a lot once Kee withdraws his hand. |
