RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 05-12-2024 (05-11-2024, 03:16 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Rest up alll you want and need, my dearest dear!~ I am definitely looking forward to your response on Bernhard's situation, whenever it may come - I am certain it will be worth the wait, bonus points for the waiting time giving me time to catch up on missed streams. I'll probably be asleep already if you decide to post later tonight though, but that shouldn't be a problem, me feels. Blame timezones. Apologies for the late response, but thank you dear! I'll be getting to your post shortly - it won't be too long by my count, but hopefully it'll be interesting enough! RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 05-12-2024 Wohooo, am very excited for it then! (* ̄▽ ̄)b RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Lord Windos - 05-12-2024 FYI for @Dragonstrike - You're free to continue your Encounter as you like at anytime: Sylvia and Pokekitty's interaction with the Murkrow is of a lower priority in my eyes if you want to get back in action, and can always be Flashbacked! to . The crow will also answer any questions Seddi has, since he and his Mon helped make that miraculous meal. That outcome left me even more speechless then the florges scene which is saying a lot. Indeed! Thats indeed a incredible display of why Pseudo are trully monsters on the battlefield. I dont think any pokemon of mine could even have a chance against such beast. I think the only who maybe have a slight chance is Hecate with Mega Evolution, Calm Mind, and typing. But I dont she would survive long. Although thats a battle I would like to see! But, I okay in be more calm situation as healer of the group and make the energy drink for the medics. Giving the medics extra energy to help everyone is more importantly! Hecate would absolutely destroy most Dragon type Pseudos with how powerful her Fairy moves are, lmao. Wouldn't even need to try that hard against an average one probably. Even Goodra would likely go down in 2 or 3 hits (there's a reason he didn't attempt anything against Morgana!), and Goodra has 35+ HP and titanic special bulk! The Jangmo-o line is even more allergic to Fairy type moves to boot. You figure out how to exploit a Pseudo's weaknesses, you either KO them extremely quickly or cripple them to a degree that they're basically just a normal pokemon. That was a good decision, regardless of Type matchups. Because do anything to Morgana and you're going to get in big trouble with Bernhard, hehe~ RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Dragonstrike - 05-12-2024 (05-12-2024, 02:44 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote:(05-12-2024, 01:40 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: (there's a reason he didn't attempt anything against Morgana!) Yup. Seddi would have absolutely told Goodra to stand down regardless if the dragon had popped out suddenly, but I'm very glad he did not have to try and tame an angry dragon (he has not had great success with that in the past) RE: [Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands - Spiritmon - 05-12-2024 (05-12-2024, 01:40 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote:(05-12-2024, 12:41 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Indeed! Maybe, but would still be likely a very difficult fight. Pseudo are true beasts in their own merits, and Hecate truly have weakness who can be exploited. The funny thing Oz was made to be more of a support for the campaign because of her medic skills, and Hecate reflect that because of her healing moves and restoration abilities. Even her Mega make the healing moves stronger. And when mega evolving Hecate show her face as goodness of war. She might lack Gigantamax, but she more than make up, and surpass that with Mega Evolution. Hmm, that's bring a question it's been in my mind, since Pokemon Z.A is coming, and mega evolution is returning: Why is the reason some fans like or even love Mega Evolution? It is because it makes a Pokemon go beyond it's form and get a new and a powerboost? Or it is because it was the first gamechange appearance in 3D game before Z-Moves and Dynamax/Gigantamax, and it pure liked/loved by pure nostalgic thing? If the first answer, then couldn't we say Z-Moves and Dynamax/Gigantamax kinda do the same function as Megas? Or if is the later answer, then the other "visual" mechanics would get more love if it was made "first"? I did see the question made on a YouTube video a long time ago, and I question myself that. I kinda know my answer, but I wanted to hear you guys insights on that topic, because you people opinions is awesome and epic, I always made think about things. I think megas are the most popular because there's both a lot of strategic depth to choosing your team's mega as well as the mechanic just looking and feeling cool to use as well. The mechanic does a really good job of putting a spotlight on specific pokemon and showcasing them in a new and unique way while making the pokemon (usually) feel a lot better to use in battle. That's something that Z-moves only rarely did, and that Gmax and Tera only did successfully with very particular pokemon. Megas just feel a lot more focused and targeted in what they're trying to do, and are generally very consistent in achieving both the cool factor and the usability benchmarks. Or to put it another way: Megas are essentially entirely new pokemon, which is a heck of a lot more exciting for the average player than 'surprise big nuke', 'surprise supersize pokemon', and 'surprise type change mf!' Can't really tell because I'm quite mixed about Mega Evolution myself, but I'd guess what Dragonstrike already said. Basically 'wohooo epic new Pokemon with a big Stat boost, me like!' Plus a collectable aspect of hunting down the various Mega Stones. |
