Also using the 2 HP healed = 1 Lethal damage rule RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 07-06-2020 (07-06-2020, 04:06 PM)Lord Windos Wrote:(07-06-2020, 03:09 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Well, that cliff diving certainly went better than I thought it might. Well, I was about to give Pyra other Oran Berry too. Those things is way more powerful than in our world. Bless be Mystery Dungeon miracles! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 07-06-2020 Quote Dragonstrike: ' (In regards to her being blase about her Broken Arm) ...okay then. That's...impressively lucky. ' You could say she has the devil's luck to withstand such hellish pain. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - no one - 07-06-2020 Well, that turned out better than I was expecting. Good work team xD Unfortunate about the recruitment thing, but makes sense Soon™ I guess RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 07-07-2020 Since those Pain Rolls came up twice and their wording leaves something to be desired with me, I have one thing to note about Pyra's 'Pain tolerance' for everyone: Pyra isn't bother or concerned by any Pain she's in (she'd completely indifferent/irreverent of it), so any indication otherwise is just her inner Pokemon 'speaking' out. At worst, she'll either be surprised or annoyed with any pain she experiences if the group doesn't get worked up over it, more so the later if it causes her to 'act weird' for 'no good reason' or disrupts. In short, the agonizing effects of Pain doesn't affect her unless her Pokemon half starts freaking out about it. Just FYI for you mates! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 07-07-2020 And to explain myself a little: It's coming up because reacting to immense Pain is a rather natural and hard to avoid instinctual thing. Ignoring the pain of a broken arm is immensely difficult to do for long periods of time, particularly when said arm is being messed with/waved around. I'm handwaving it a little and rolling dice to settle the conflict since the situation isn't exactly completely realistic (pokemon are sturdier creatures than a normal person would think), but there's definitely still an element of realism to be considered since Lethal damage is a thing in the first place. Someone with a broken arm would normally be unable to use it to push themselves upright, after all, both because of the immense pain and the limpness of said busted appendage. I'll allow checks like those for Pyra, given her character, but expect them to be more difficult the more pain her body would realistically be experiencing. I was going to have Pyra pass out upon returning to town because of the strain on her body caused by the broken arm being untreated and ignoring the pain outright through sheer willpower, but splinting the arm successfully will waive that occurrence. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 07-07-2020 (07-07-2020, 06:21 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: And to explain myself a little: Alright, that's a fair and reasonable assessment of things, so thank you for sharing it with me. I just wanted to make it clear that mentally Pyra/Human Pyra doesn't even register pain/Pain as a problem or something to pay attention to, even thought her body/Pokemon Pyra very much does and will try to make it know to her (and possibly others, if they're paying attention when those reactions happen). That way if Pokemon self ends up winning in the future everyone OOC knows she isn't just faking/actively forcing her ignorance/non issue with Pain, and IC such reaction are atypical and involuntary on her part. As such, my interp. of the Will Score in regards to Pain Rolls is that it (her Will) acts as a sort of passive 'Ignorance Roadblock' for her Pokemon Instincts. If her Pokemon self can't get past it, she continues to be unaffected by them, but if her Pokemon self does it can 'voice' itself and take her off guard (surprising and/or annoying her in the process). Essentially, her 'Pain Tolerance' isn't a conscious effort on her part, it just....well, is. I now wonder if a Surprise can be later gotten that basically shuts up her Pokemon self in regards to pain/Pain/unpleasent sensations (though not stopping any actual negative consequences of it mechanically/storywise), as not having them constantly trying to but in and take her/the rest of the group off guard would be nice character-wise. Though mentioning that alt scenario, I'm kinda disappointed it didn't end up happening, as it would've been fun for me for her to pass out without any warning and have her be all confused as hecky about it later. Ah well, perhaps its for the best, since her friends don't freak out about that and have to lug her back to town or try attempting to wake her up. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 07-08-2020 I was worry too but I gladly sort out in the end! And we finished the missions with success! Whohoo! Since Pyra doesn't want the money and there is Kogeki, Kee, Karen and Daxter, that mean those 100 Poké bê 25 each one. It is okay everyone? RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-08-2020 (07-06-2020, 03:22 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Since we are 5 people, and it is 150 Poké, it is okay everyone split 30 money for each one of us?Let's go with 35 for the four of us since Pyra doesn't want any. (Proof) How selfless of you Window, thank you!~ (Though now I wonder a bit more about what you've planned with the BigNugget she still has) 35 x 4 = 140, the remaining 10$p can go into the group funds (making it exactly 285$p then) (07-08-2020, 07:15 AM)Spiritmon Wrote: (...)Since Pyra doesn't want the money and there is Kogeki, Kee, Karen and Daxter, that mean those 100 Poké be 25 each one. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 07-10-2020 I dont know about you people, but me and Kogeki have no intention in stay in a place such as Delphox Guild. That guy smell trouble and tyranny. A Guildmaster who encourage everyone to his members not to help and saying they have a reputation to maintain? I dont know about you people, but this place smell not a very much health way to guide a guild. Competition is okay, but in the way that Delphox is doing. And me and Kogeki gonna leave the Guild when he get enough resources and fully evolve. After that is sayonara Delphox Guild. |
