Ventus is just leaning against one of the Gym walls, awaiting Nathan's/Valder's arrive with the Ponyta arrival while ruminating over what needs be done before the group returns to Stair. He's out of plain sight of the rest of the group, however, and is too caught up in his thinking to seek out their company until its time for everyone to depart. That, and sometimes a little alone time is very much appreciated!

Order: Ventus is chilling by himself by the Gym, and won't interact with others until its definite/clear that everyone is ready and about to leave Stair City. Thems the breaks, fellows!

(Now Shiva can create frozen berries anytime! I'll also point out the obvious: Rotom and his fridge can be recalled into a Pokeball while fused, but alone a fridge is considered a complex machine and won't go in a Pokeball.)


Kirlia listens patiently. In the end, one fact is triumphant: Whatever Nathan thinks is best, Kirlia thinks is best. He agrees to try. He seems grumpier about the request to try to get along with...well, Ventus, mostly. Shiva he thinks he already gets along well with. When Kirlia gets you to understand that he gets along well with Shiva, he clasps his hands together: bond. He has a special bond with Shiva, though obviously it has nothing on his bond with Nathan! He hopes this won't make Nathan angry or jealous. He pauses to see.

Kirlia gives Nathan a little headbutt. He'll try to get along, but he knows Nathan knows there's more to 'unselfish love' than that.

"I can't guarantee I'll be able (or willing) to get you another fridge if you mistreat that one too badly, Pulse, so I wouldn't recommend banging it up too much.  Now then, if we're done here, let's wrap up and get back to the Center.  Got one last thing to do, still..."

And the time skip to the short conversation happens now...

...back to handling this and moving forward with what's going on...

Nathan looks at Kirlia for a little longer.  Sighs again.

"...I know there's more to it than that, buddy.  Have to start somewhere, though, right?  And don't worry, I'm not upset...just...kinda sad...you make it look so easy..."

...

"...well, enough of that, I suppose.  It's almost noon.  We better get going."

Nathan recalls Kirlia again.  The dancer definitely deserves a rest right now.  Nathan heads to the lobby to make one last swap at the PC...it was about time Zippy and Princess saw a little more action.  Porygon-Z and Rotom could hang together in the PC in the meantime.

And when he turns around, there are Heart and Shiva (those boots Shiva's wearing actually look kinda nice...)...he didn't expect to run into them here...welp, better get things moving...(I wonder if Shiva will find it odd that Kirlia's not out and about right now?)

"Well, you two ready to go?  I'm headed out to meet Stable Z when they arrive, pick out which two Ponyta we're going to have on loan.  You're welcome to join me, or you can head to the gym and I'll meet you there once I'm done."

"Nah I good. I going with Metagross transport. Besides, I already have Fire-type of my own. What reminds me, perhaps Kirlia would might like some company to hang out for a time. Viktor, Rose, give a warm welcome to Kirlia!" Then Heart brings out his Phamtump and Monferno. "Perhaps a good talk when we waiting for Ventus and Valder to join might help Kirlia interact with others. The first step is interact with other Pokemon. Viktor and Rose is quite social Pokemon, so they would might help a bit to interact with Kirlia." Then Heart looks to Shiva. "Didnt you have a Pamchan and a Cottonee? Pancham would like to interact a bit with the others to meet some friends, and Cottonee fairy aura would help too."

Nathan shakes his head.  Kirlia's in his pokeball currently.

"Not right now.  He needs to rest.  There'll be time to work on that later.  And I do believe we still have to get those Metagross from Dagny, so we're meeting at the gym.  The Ponyta are for when we're off the rough mountains and tired of sitting on Steel types."

Shiva actually looks up half confused, half amused as Heart approached, before resuming to finishing the boots. "'Accidentes wool happen...? What are you thinking, that I'm giving myself an accidental acupunctre with the needles? I'm trying to avoid this..."

When Nathan came along, of course Shiva notices that Kirlia is recalled... But she's not finding it 'incredibly odd' or such. Maybe it's his way to deal with it, plus he said that he'll talk with Kirlia. Well well, we'll see... "Oh, no, thanks... I'm fine to travel via Metagross I think. Maybe switch to Yule or a Ponyta later... I'll finish this and head to the Gym afterwards."

...Internally, she beginns to silently weep though at the thought that she's leaving her panda at the PC during the journey to the swamp... It seems something that has to do with Pancham is paining her. "Cottonee can be outside and with me along the way, Heart - just like me, it wouldn't hurt to get used to cold Steel Types."

In case she does spot Ventus when coming to the Gym, she'll greet him - but leaves him alone for now as the signs he's giving are clear enough for her.

"Sorry. Its my old habit to make terrible puns." Then Heart change a bit the topic when finally notice the type of wool. "That by any chance is Baashaun wool? I never meet that Pokemon, but I read in books I buy about Tandor."

"Nothing is better then a travel via Metagross. I always wanted to travel one like that. I would like to caugh one someday, if I wasnt have a Steel-type one." Then Heart heard about Shiva comment with travel alongside Cottonee even in the presence of a Steel and couldnt hold a smile. "That is something I dont doubt." He changes his attention to Nathan about Kirlia. "Well, perhaps when everything is over I owe you and Kirlia another dinner. A better one." Then Heart think for a second. "So what we need to find exatcly? Any clue about how bring the Legendary back and smash that "Disaster Stone" thing and save the world? Something like that?"

Nathan gives Heart a VERY stern stare, and a VERY quiet warning.  "Keep it down.  You're going to draw unneeded attention discussing that here.  Or most anywhere."

He doesn't comment any further on that topic for the time being.

"I'm going to go meet up with Stable Z then and pick out some Ponyta to use AFTER our ride on the metagross.  I'm not taxing my mom's horses with a mountain climb if it's not necessary.  I'll meet everyone at the gym so we can pick up those metagross and get going."

And with that, he's off to meet up with Stable Z and pick up some Ponyta, then it's off to the gym to hand them off to Valder and get this trip to Arrowroot from Stair started!

"No need to be sor- Wait a moment, you know about Baashauns? Neat... Appearantly, they can be encountered here in the Safari Zone and occasionally in the plains of this region - they're imported from Tandor for their wool and a few escaped into wild. So, ehm, this is indeed some of their wool - it's from the Farmer's Market Floor of the Department Store." Pretty sure the ability to sneak like a shadow will be useful soon or later and Shiva was both excited and creeped out about how such a situation might look like. For now though, she packs them away for safe containment, and recalls both Azurill (not before thanking her for the help) and Yena who awoke from nap as soon as Shiva stroked him behind the ears.

She also watched Nathan leave after he said his piece and she confirmed, before turning to Heart again and making motions that they shoud get going as well. "Nevermind... He's like that most of the time, as yyou might have already noticed. Now then, once you're ready and any of your Pokemon are healed up again, we should get going as well, shall we?"

One thing Shiva did before departing from the GPC though was checking whether she had all her books with her (especially the one with the native music, incl. the written note about the Southern Stars in it) and stock up on relatively durable food for herself/the group + fresh fruit for her Pokemon + mineral water from the Restaurant. None could know how long their trip might take, so better be prepared.

"Well, I dont know much about the Pokémon in Tandor since I was there just for a few time. Certain...circunstances force me to change my plans..." Instinctively Heart touch in his shoulder. "But yeah, Baashaun evolution line is quite impresive and they far, from all Pokémon I could read about Tandor, is my favourite one. They have a rare typing, Dark/Fighting. When I got the chance I going to hunt one to add in my team."

Heart balance his hand showing he dont mind. "Nah, I already getting using about that. Must the pressure about everything with Kirlia and all. My team have full health and I ready to go. I know this is a dire situation but I confess I kinda excited to travel via Metagross. I have 20 years, but I still have a child side inside heh. Should we going Lady Shiva?" Say Heart teasing a bit Shiva but a respect way as a friend.

Dark/Fight... Well, one well-placed Fairy Wind should teach them not to attack her without warning. She also picks up the seriousness that had nothing to do with their current situation/location Heart seemed to express... Something was not the way it seemed. For now though, she doesn't mention it, respectively.

How amusing to hear that he still felt like a child inside... Something Shiva, however, couldn't relate to. That does not prevent her from noticing the teasing tone on the next words! She fixated Heart with a considering gaze from the side, displaying a very faint smile, enjoying that there's still time for a little jocularity despite the serious situation. "Sure we can get going...~" Alongside the way, she does not take his hand, as that's a privilege for her.
