Yes. The menu/PC box sprite will too if the game is up to date.

Can't do that if you have to battle Theo first and listen to Bamb'o ramble afterwards. Might be faster to just reset the whole game.

one grape cat :3 this took both me and my mate breeding and hatching eggs at the same time, he got it first so its not my name as ot guess i gotta keep hatching them, mates are good for helping with a shiny hunt next up the other two starters.

Ah, good ol' Shiny Orchynx. I need to get around to raising mine.
...though seeing that HP IV of 17 when its other 5 IVs are all 31 still hurts. :/

Who cares, it's a grasscat in a beautiful shade of purple, this trumps bad IV
If my shiny Luxi hadn't that flaw in Defense, it'd be competitive. Competitive Pokemon anyone can breed if you know what you're doing, but a shiny one or even a shiny with perfect Stats - that's the supreme discipline. I'd even rejoice over a shiny Pokemon with terrible Stats if it only looks beautiful in that alternate coloring ^^

Oh yeah, I still really like the purple cat, don't get me wrong. It's just one of those moments where if RNG had gone just a little differently, it would have been perfect (wasn't trying for a shiny at the time, but a legitimate competitive shiny would have certainly been a nice novelty to have). Just a little frustrating to think about, that's all. I've got plenty of shinies that have terrible IVs because they're random wild encounters.
