Awesome. Really, awesome. Great news. I could get a Tyrogue, or Skorupi or interesting Pokemon, but instead the only I can find it's a bunch of common Pokemon and and I included fortreit a battle and loose 400 pokedollars. Glorious day. If I knew that I prefer to continue the Pokemon battle. Yay...

I though picking up an Items counted for an Encounter Slot in of itself, Iron? If not, Ventus will certainly be participating in the next batch of Encounters! Not sure if Dragonstrike/Nathan will, given Kirlia's critical condition, but that is his choice, not mine!

Then ask questions instead of raging about. All this information was available to you in the rules, AND I mentioned it to you before you forfeited the battle.

Picking up items certainly counts. Your first encounter slot is the rare item, and your second is the fishing. Shellder I didn't really count as a slot since it was a nonevent.

You not only could have just waited rest of the group got together and leave, but you also could have continued to battle Nosepass with Koa perfectly alright, as your Strikes were doing excellent damage. Instead, you rushed ahead and missed out on the initial Route 4 Encounters AND needlessly gave away your muns to a Hiker you actually stood a chance at beating. I'm not trying to be rude/mean, but this is the opportunity cost of you forging on ahead, and you ultimately have to live with it, so please don't become unnecessarily toxic....
Just ask Ven to borrow his rod, and bait it with a berry/don't and see what you get, alright?

Talking to Ventus is probably a great way forward! He's the most loquacious of the party members, and he knows more than any of them about dealing with frustration. Plus he's got the Rod.

*sigh* Alright. I kinda already have a water, but sure. Not that I have a really choice I think. Perhaps with luck I can find a water Pokemon to happy the day a little.

Welp, you learned it the hard way, Spirit...
@Iron, no insignia or similar on the Ranger's cloak, I just wanted Shiva to be prepared if she insists to sleep over by the shore of one of the high mountain lakes to catch a glimpse on dreamy Pokemon that can be occassionaly seen dancing there at night or hunting petalglass with Braixen in Earthstar Forest. Bet you guys weren't expecting Nathan to catch Skorupi, were ya?
I actually like Skorupi and Drapion a lot myself. Used one on my first playthrough of Platinum!

Honestly, I wasn't, but given Nathan temperament and scorn of things that pose a legitimate risk towards Kirlia, I very much doubt he like the species like you do! If you want to do something, give it to Heart/Valder, as they don't seem to mind vicously tempered Pokémon much, or have him overcome his aversion to Trading and get something out of it. Or you could give it to Aspis/Grid for 'disposal', now that I think of it...
