Ah, now this is exactly what I love seeing, especially since I'm the one privy to ALL the details behind the scenes, mwahahaha -

*Reads over the ending of things*

Oh gosh darnit Spiritmon. We've talked about this, god.

*Sighs* Alright, this is your first and only warning: keep things polite. You don't have to agree with others opinion on things, but you don't got to let yourself get worked up to the point of attacking others or being passive aggressive. If you feel like you're getting to that point, take a break, mate. While this Meta Thread is mostly for the funzies when not discussing important matter pertaining to the Game, and I would prefer that fun atmosphere and the jolly cooperation it fosters remains.

Considering that this is is not the first time you've gotten like this - and not the first time in ANY of my campaigns - you're getting a penalty for this behavior right off the bat: you're PC next Encounter Slot is now Forfeited. In addition, the Bad Effects of your Black Flame Kumbaya will start at the beginning of the next Day instead of at the End of this Day.

This is your first Strike. The next one will get your PC sidelined out of an entire In Game Day + Whatever Remaining Encounters they have in a given day. You don't what to know what awaits for the 3rd Strike and beyond.

I reinterate: this is your first and only warning. Please keep it in mind; contrary to what you may think, I don't want to do this, but this has been a recurring issue Spiritmon. It needs to stop. You don't have to get along with everyone all the time - heck, you don't even have to get along in game too - but OOC I expect basic civility and ANY arguments to be reasonable.

Easy: Invite him to teatime. He won't decline such an invitation, unless being extremely occupied.

Counterpoint: The chances that Morgana invites herself to any tea time you schedule is non-zero, which only rises based on how long since she's seen your or the last interesting thing that has happened. If you want your PC to spend time with the others regular lunches or shared Training/Tutoring sessions are the way to go since the Fae Lady rarely bothers with those without a invitation or scheduling one in advance.

I'm also working on the 2nd Part of your post, but it's going to take a bit while I get to the other 'easy' to respond posts and getting sufficiently IC so that Zephy's response doesn't fall flat. Bewear with me, dear!

Not a big fan the legendary of Mythicals and Legendaries from there, with the exception of Miraidon and Kuraidon. They just...I dont know they didnt give me vibes of Legendary Majesty you know? That "cool" or powerful aura you know? They are not bad, just, not epic enough for me. Dont hate but not like, they pretty meh to me. But Paldea have interesting scenario, I give it that.

My favorite part about Paldea's legends and myths are that none of them are actually forces of nature/existence.  The only one that's even related to anything environmental in Paldea at all is Terapagos.  It gives them a much more grounded feel than most Legends.  The stories of Ogerpon and the Treasures of Ruin are some of my favorites in the series to date, ngl (Gen 4 still tops them though).

As someone who's been disconnected from the series every since Sun and Moon, I appreciate your own takes and Insight you have on the Lore and dynamics of the later entries of the series. Certainly helped me tons in crafting and redesigning portions of my World and setting, so once again thank you mate!

From what I looked up I particularly like the questline involving Dr. Turo/Dr. Sada - time travel plots, while basic, are still rather fun, and the spin they did on it with the professors was intriguing and entertaining. Legends-wise I don't have a favorite in Gen 9 unless you count Walking Wake - their design strikes the right balance between 'majestic' and 'savage' , and mechanically I find them absolutely a blast to play: you can't say you have lived until you go on a Tera Water Sunny Day Hydro Steam Sweep with that bad boy!

(06-04-2024, 10:35 AM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Again, the ToR leans a bit into the idea that appearances can be deceiving that Gen 9 does with a lot of its Legends.  The stories of Gen 9 all revolve around reputations of some variety, both pre-established and in the works.  First Impressions are important, but the context of a first impression is also important since a pre-existing reputation can affect that.  It's also something that I worked into Seddi's design since he dresses like a cowboy of all things, but he has quite the reputation among the Paldean League for a few reasons.  He's not someone most people are going to take seriously at a glance until he actually starts kicking their teeth in or flexing his credentials.

Something I can say about Seddi's background is that he's privy to a lot of information that might be less known to the general public due to his position.  And he would be incredibly worried if he were to hear anything about the ToR since the examples he knows of are supposed to be in containment under the watchful eye of an incredibly powerful trainer.

The existence of such beasts also raises potential concerns about, say, the Keenglaive Artifacts that Terra has in his possession.  That's a potential worry, given the rather sour history that those items have been involved in recently.

You would be hard pressed to get Seddi to talk about any of this IC if it isn't relevant though because it's all rather classified info.

To be fair you can share the info if you want, so long as you're sure you can trust the other source not to blab or you can use said info to further your own missions/when the circumstances call for it. Revealing some details to Bernard would likely not get you chewed out too much if it lead to greater diplomatic ties to the Mageocracy and learn whatever research he's done, for example....until they figure out his other major association, that is. On matters of Legends Akamu and Ianai are good sources to get 2nd Opinions on, since they're the most 'Lored' about such topics due to their backgrounds, while Aaron could be convinced to part with some Knowledge if you're willing to make it worth his while or you endear yourself enough to the old man.

Concerning Oz, there is a non-zero chance she may have picked up some details about various Legends/Myths during her travels throughout the Regions, including Paldea. Girl is rather Fortunate, so who knows what she may know about what's in the know....

Understood Windos.

Good thing Juniper is okay now and even better than before. Thats a relief.

About Iron Leaves poison, did that happen after or before Oz leave to rest for the next day in game? It is possible to do a roll to restore Iron Leaves health or it is not possible?

Edit: Nevermind, I read the next and it says Seddi later discover the poison, so this will have happen after Oz leaves so ignore my question.

...Oh. That's a good point, and one I haven't thought about, quite honestly. Change of plan then @Spiritmon: If you wish for (meaningful) interactions between Oz and Bern, do invite him to a shared meal, and come up with an actual reason/purpose you want to see him or speak with him - because otherwise the lone wolf that Bernhard is quite likely won't show up and prefers to eat alone. Bonus points if displaying respect and courtesy towards him, given his high rank in Scimitar Society.

Or just magically run into him when I practice some new Spells, or say that you want to see how a Scimitar battles via Magic, I dunno.

About that: I says that I'll wait as long as needed, and I do mean it! d(^_^  )

Glad you're finding my insights and hypotheses useful!

Tera Water Choice Specs Hydro Steam in the Sun does go incredibly hard.  It's a shame that Psyblade can't reach similar heights in SV due to many issues with both Leaves itself and Electric Terrain teams.

Seddi's all about info on a 'need to know' basis, so you can bet he'll be both asking and telling with that principal in mind!

He is more like a trully heroically character. Unless he is shade character, I very much take him seriously. Specially after the way he talked with Morgana. He is pretty much brave like hell.

What can I say?  He's an honest guy.  If he can't tell ya something, he'll make it clear that he can't if possible.  My comment about 'appearances can be deceiving' doesn't have to be referring to him being inherently dishonest.

Hmm...I might need to work in some ideas to go in some encounter with Bern. Perhaps later after I get rid of the side effects of the Kumbaya. I dont want Bern get caugh in a battle on a angry encounter because of Oz. Not to mentioned Oz still a bit nervous around Bern. But things might get a bit chummy with the fact Bern risk himself to change Morgana attention to save the group, which is something had helped Oz change a bit how she view Bern.

Magic might be a good thing. Oz likes literature, and her three main Pokemon are literally witches (specially Hecate, since Hatterene nickname is literally "Witch of the Woods", and her name come from the goddess of witchcraft Hecate), so she get interested in see Bern magic praticing. And again, Hecate is literally Oz youngest Pokemon, so she seeing a magic user in action could be a interesting experience for her.

There is a third option, but this one I prefer to keep to myself since it is a secret on I and Windos know.
