Shiva carefully tightens her arms around her psychic kitten in joy over his interest on that new move. "That caught you, huh? Very well then, I'll help you learn it. However, you have to a wait a little until your Training Partner is ready as well - he's currently being healed up, it shouldn't take too long anymore."

In the meantime, she just stays there close to her Espurr and Tropius, at some point drawing that thumb harp and absent-minded coaxing some tunes and eventually a shy melody out of it. It was the same she already tried to learn there at the Cottonwood Tree, the feeling that it's raining somewhere else. How long ago is it by now that she was there at that tree, calming and opening her mind to eventually summon the Incarnate of Southern Wind? Probably too long, though occassionally Shiva simply needs these calm and peaceful times spent with those she cares for, for the sake of reenergizing. The others were away following their own business, somehow she appreciated being left alone now before eventually that...battle against Nathan will be it. Ugh. It still left a bad taste in her mouth, but she already agreed and she knows she can count on her small Pokemon.



Time Flash to the point were Braixen and Marill are both healed up to 7/7hp again by Nurse Joy.


Delightfully and with an honest 'Thank you' to Joy and the luxury of a Healing Machine, Shiva accepted her magical fox and fae-mouse back and immediately got back to her place at the park where Tropius was still resting. If he would enjoy it, he can also fly around a little to stretch his wings, over the city, or simply stay here with his Master and watch what she does.

The first thing Shiva does, before she even called out out Braixen and Kyuu again, was packing a mixture of that spicy and the dry food into that Training Kong, finishing with a few dried berries. Then packed it away so that Yena doesn't see it right away after he has been summoned to these scene. His keen sense of smell will likely nevertheless pick up food nearby, and shall any passengers approach her like the last time she was in the park with this special Poochyena, Shiva will make VERY clear that their approach is not appreciated and does not want to be interrupted right now. Yena greeting his Master with a curious yip earned him a stroke and scratch behind the ears. "It's been a while since you enjoyed some time outside, wasn't it Yena? Well, sorry for this, been away and busy with no access to a PC. However, we're back now in the city, do you remember this park? ..." Shiva leaned down in her sitting position to be around eye level with Yena now. "But...since I made some cash and wanted to make up for that AND to help you grow to fulfill your role as my protector of ill-meant Ghost and Psychic Types, I got you a new Training Kong. Here is it, enjoy, feel free to bite and gnaw hours away now, dear one!"


Once that has been done and Yena is well provided for, Shiva eventually called out Braixen and Kyuu. She made sure that they don't feel threathened or uneasy by the presence of a Dark Type by emitting a secure feeling to them as well as motioning that this Poochyena is a party member just like them, and he's busy with training his bite on that Kong anyway.

"*cough* Ehm, well... Alright then, Braixen, you stand here and Kyuu, you stand there. Yes, like this. First up, do listen to me Braixen - I know there is hidden and dormant psychic power within you. Just like with the blue mouse you have battled alongside a few times by now, it's yet weak however, but it will gain a nice boost when you reach your final stage of evolution. Wait a moment, I'll show you..." Drawing her Almanac again, Shiva searches for the entry of Delphox and shows the image of this Pokemon to Braixen. "You'll look like this in that case. Quite noble, right?" *packing the Almanac away again, but keeping it within reach* "Now, you are already aware of how to channel this psychic traits into a beam to hit your opponent, mostly a poisonous threat, with it. Let us go one step higher now. I'd like you to directly manifest the same energy you use to do that into a visible wave of psychic energy - concentrate, imagine how this looks like and when you feel ready, give it a try. Our aim is a blasting and visible pulse of power to hit your foe physically. ...Do you undertand?"

Next, her Espurr. "Now, Kyuu, as promised... your psychic power is known, unlike your Training Partner it's not dormant though but very present. It's even dangerous shall it leak out uncontrolled, which explains why I'm keeping my hands away from your ears when stroking you. Your new move allows a small part of that power to leak out in a controlled manner, manifesting in a concentrated amount, forming a wall of light that will protect not only you, but also those near you. It may not fully help your with your headaches, but it's a good kickstarter to deal with it. Don't be too afraid to accidently break something if you carefully try that, there's nothing delicate nearby. The same goes for you, Braixen! Both of you are very allowed to work together in managing your given task. Do take your time, we're in no rush. Now then, please give it a try!~"

Mechanics:
This is a Training Session for Yena, Braixen and Kyuu, I feel like any Training Rolls, shall they be granted, will use different Stats for Yena and Braixen-Kyuu. Yena would get +1 dice on that Roll because of the Training Kong.

As a result of that Session, Kyuu will learn Light Screen (13xp spent) and Braixen will learn Psyshock (34xp spent). I also want to spent 12xp to make Shiva a Level 3 Movetutor here. Shall Kyu make attempts to evolve here... I will not stop him from doing so as my chara just wouldn't do that. No participating in Little Cup then for small psychic kitten, sadly.

(Ah, Yena's almost there, only 3 more XP to go. Yay!)


Both her Pokemon managed their respective moves very well, rejoicing their Master in a coy yet very warm and honest manner. Going for the side-path/-career as a Tutor began to more and more turn out as a good decision for Shiva, will she eventually be on the same stage as that Steel Tutor who took personal lessons with and from Dagny herself? She didn't know, but simply the thought was a pleasant one.

All participants receive their praise and pets, before Tropius is offered another hand of dried berries to eat in return for the Fruit and Nanab Berry he produces everyday. The Berry is something Shiva keeps, while the Fruit is brought to the Shelter in a quick stop-by there (They can have it for free). She lets them know that she'll start working tomorrow then for a full week, assuring that she'll be on time and prepared. (If she accidently/coincidently runs into Ventus here, that's fine, but I doubt this actually occurs)

This took some time, and it was getting late when Shiva was back at the GPC. She had enough time to prepare for this, ponder over this and probably overthink this, the last step was swapping around in her party until it was full of Pokemon that were allowed in Little Cup. Now, she only had to search for Nathan. Or actually, wait until he finds her as the battle was his idea and intention... Agreed Meeting Point was in the park, that was where she was now.


(Alright, @Dragonstrike, I'd like to edit things and make this a SINGLE Battle instead of a Double Battle please. How many Pokemon shall participate for each side again? 6vs6 would be fine from my side, but 4vs4 is okay too. As said, no wager as it's more Training, no usage of Healing Items either as I find it better to keep them for traveling Routes. Is that okay for you and Nathan?)

Nathan's been in the park the whole time, training and psyching himself up/out!  Shiva probably runs into him playing tug-o-war with Orthros (as mentioned previously).  He's not noticed she's there yet.

After the battle...

Heart was walking in the streets of Star City thinking what he will cook today. Percival, Netune and Koa was out of their pokeballs, jumping and playing around like little kids! Koa was taking care of them, like a older brother to them. "Heh, you know, I still remember when we start that adventure Koa in our first pokemon battle. Still remember how that machoke throw you in the river hah. And when you and I duel each other to prove my strengh. You got stronger Koa." Then Heart came a little closer and pat the head of the little dragon. "I proud of you Koa. I know you someday will grow to a strong Haxorus. I believe that." Then Heart looks to his little Mudkip. "Well, I promise to make food for you right Netune? So today I make the mostly delicious food you ever taste. Perhaps I should make everyone a delicious pasta today to comemorate everyone return and victorious! I the cooker of the group."

Action: Find some place to ingredients to make some good pasta to make a delicious recipe I have in mind and buy some pokemon food!

You could buy pretty much anything at the Department Store, or you could buy the pasta and herbs from one of the new little wagons that have popped up in the wake of the disaster.

(Nope, you said you wanted to show her how battles are held instead of directly participating and Shiva wouldn't enjoy attacking and probably defeating that lil' Castform unless the dice are mean. This would make it a 4vs4 unless you definitely want to use both Combee instead of one of the pair.)


Shiva does one more thing after she swapped around in her party - retriving Eternally Gold from the pocket of her Ranger's Cloak and handing it one of her Pokemon with the words to take good care of it for now. Not telling which one, GM can see it on charasheet though.

Oh, there Nathan is! She stops midmovement, she had no idea he was here in the park as well which caused her to wonder how long he's been there actually. Eh... Well, since he left her alone and she left him alone it was somewhat pointless to overthink this issue. She doesn't care for Orthros either.

The more important issue was how to catch his attention as simply approaching with open arms and interrupting his fun with his Deltadog was something she didn't want to do. Nope, she had a better idea - she'll just use that sacred wooden whistle she obtained in the secret shop of Arrowroot Village!~ Not in a manner to completely startle him - means, she doesn't actually take breath before coaxing a 'bweeeeeee!' from it - but enough to stop Nathan and look into the direction of the tone. She'll mischievously wave to him once he does.

"You said you wanted a Training Battle using Lil' Cup Restrictions and I eventually...agreeeed to it -" *sour taste increases for her* "- so here I am. You've finished preparing for it?" Shiva certainly is once she adjusted black-with-yellow-edge bow on her outfit as well as cleaned glasses on a flowerly tissue and put back them back on.

Heart decides them to go to the departament store and look for them ingredients for the pasta he have in mind. With some luck he might find anything he needs. He them go there and ask the person in the departament. "Excuse me, but I would like a little help to find some ingredients and a good pasta if you dont mind. Here some ingredients I need." Then Heart show the list (in the message I send you Iron). "Could you help me if you dont mind?"

...it's still enough to distract Nathan from the game he's playing with Orthros...and for the dog to take advantage of it and pulling both him and the rope to the ground!  "Waugh!"  One day, he'll learn his lesson and become more Alert...but that's not today.

Orthros goes to give a pointed glare to whoever startled his pack leader and friend...but he immediately loosens up once he sees it was Shiva.  She's not so bad.  He likes being around her.

Nathan picks himself up, dusts himself off...startles again when he also finally registers it's Shiva.  He looks...slightly guilty, very nervous...

"...yeah, I'm ready..."

He heads over to the designated area for battles, takes his position...talks to Forthright a little about what's going to happen.  Orthros stays outside his ball and next to Nathan, still looking very happy.

Nathan doesn't really say much to Shiva, and Kirlia's not around at all.  Very strange.

...he does say one thing, though, right before the battle begins...
