RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-21-2019 (I soon make my team but I pretty busy right now) RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-21-2019 There's 8 Snover, but they look tougher than the ones that were at Lake Acuity. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-21-2019 Quote:There's 8 Snover, but they look tougher than the ones that were at Lake Acuity. Then I definitely don't want to fight them unless they start a battle first, and instead see what Karen and Octavia can find out about them, in particular an answer whether they are safe to approach and ask stuff on a friendly base. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 07-21-2019 (07-21-2019, 01:36 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: *Minor Flashback?* Ran's somewhat skeptical of their decision of wanting to gun straight for the obviously bizarre and most definitely arcane light, shaking his head lightly and pointing to the doors instead. "Agree with ya there Kee, but I don't think we should throw caution to this bitter wind here just yet. We don't know for certain if that light or this damn blood freezing gale blowing from there is any surefire indicator of what's causing all this strangeness on this floor, and even if they are I rather we investigate the more 'mundane' aspects of this floor first and better aquaint ourselves with it (the floor) 'fore we go confronting whatever is responsible. *Frowns* Probably something freakishly and/or hazardously supernatural, given what its done with this floor alone, and who knows what else in the Temple. *Shakes head* This whole old crypt is starting to resemble a dungeon from the old tabletop games I used to play as a wee lad, andthat ain't a good thing in the most minutest amount. Bah..." He's not too interested or optimistic about the idea of trying to peacefully get by the Snover too, frowning rather severely and crossing his arms. "If the Alolan Sandslashes and 'shrews were any indication, the critter's we'll be facing from then and here on are not likely to be receptive to pleasantries and parleying. Especially if they're territorial, beligerant, or they're guarding and looking after whatever is the source of the fantastical alterations to the Temple. *Shakes head* Honestly, we're better off either avoiding the 'locals' for now, or dispatching them quick as we can manage. *Nods* Much safer for us that way, in me opinion." RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-21-2019 Note about ambushing the Snover: you'll have to pass Stealth checks to get off preemptive buffs. The wind may be masking any sound being made right now, but the Snover might still notice you if you start trying to buff yourselves before engaging them. The corridor is also not wide enough to summon 8 pokemon alongside 4 humans. 4 pokemon would be manageable, though. Additional note on the orange glow: it looks like the same color as a sunset. RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Lord Windos - 07-21-2019 (07-21-2019, 01:44 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: *Flashback - I say this happens after he gave his opinion on which way to go forward and his stance on their idea of peace with the Snover in response to Kee's own suggested course of action, and that the above response occurred afterwards (If that makes sense)* Ran returns their animosity FULL FORCE with a positively molten and mean look of his own, marching right up to them and jabbing a finger into their calf, his own tone quiet, even, but shimmering with frustration. "Get off ya fucking high horse and stop acting like such a nitwit, Kee. Down here, in this blatantly and dangerously twisted up place and in any other wild and untamed lands, NOBODY can afford to take such fanciful and hopeful risks like ya one you're proposing, unless they know beyond ALL REASONABLE DOUBT that'll it work out or won't be utterly screw them over if it doesn't. All the potential, POTENTIAL intel we could squeeze out of those Snovers by trying to ain't worth the possibility of them just getting the jump on us and freezing us all solid with Powder Snows or Blizzards if they don't want to play nice and friendly with us OR if things go awry, so better we just Faint the lot and not invite that disaster upon us. If that Attracts any more trouble to us, then we'll take care of it like what we should do with those Christmas trees: with full force." The dwarven craftsman shakes his head, and then jerked it back towards the direction the stairs were at, his face hard as a rock and just as unyielding. "No. N. O. If ya want to do be an idiot and have us try to be peacekeepers here, I will have no part in such a foolishness. I'll leave ya to deal with the Snover by yourself, and conduct my own investigations independently from ya, as I rather risk it going it alone than abide by what you're trying to sell me on. That is that, end of discussion." His word were less hostile/contemptuous this time, but they were far more firm and unyielding. If Kee was going to try Diplomacy, then Ran was out of there and would go off to investigate the Room past the first set of Doors the group came across in the previous room, with or without anyone else joining him. The bristly blacksmith plain refused and STRONGLY disagreed with the sour dandy's proposal/plan/stance/counterargument, so if they want to try their hand at peace with the Snover, then count him out. (In that case, can't we do those buffs in the previous room, and then just charge at full speed towards the Snover Mob in order to engage them while still having our buffs on? With Shell Smash on every Pokemon and Tailwind on the humans, it shouldn't be unfeasible to do so, me thinks.) (Of course, this assumes that we're/Ran's going to actually fight the Snover, which is an idea that's becoming more and more tenuous with the recent posts between me and Phantom, oy vie.....) RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Dragonstrike - 07-21-2019 Another thing I'll note to speed things along since Phantom asked for it: Karen can tell the Snover are being veeeerrrry wary. Not necessarily in an aggressive way, though. They're mostly absorbed in their 'conversation', stealing glances over their shoulders from time to time to see if anyone is approaching or trying to eavesdrop (even though the wind and the rustling of their leaves would make such a thing extremely difficult to do unnoticed). RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - Spiritmon - 07-21-2019 (I didn't decide yet the offense team but I have a suggestion toward everyone) Kogeki look towards the group of Snovers foes. "Even for us it's gonna be difficult in defeat such powerful and large number foes. My suggestion is divide to conquer. My suggestion is me sneak behind them, and lure most of them no another place." Kogeki then points towards Susano'o. "Susano'o is capable of Mega Evolve, and Gama can change types at his will. And even without a Pokemon, I can fight." He Pat his sword. "You have my word as a ninja I will come back alive with the Snovers defeated. That way the battle will be easier." RE: [Game Thread] Pokerole: Mount Coronet Mystery - PhantomUnderYourDesk - 07-21-2019 (Nope, if there'll be a battle against these Snover, I'd like it to be a battle for everyone aka a group encounter please.) |
