Sure, Shiva-in-chara dislikes this, but it'd surely be an experience to bring her to the limit and (hopefully) reward this with a beautiful mountain lake featuring rare Pokemon. Curious what The Almanac are doing/researching there, but the thought of messing with them by trying to get through their checkpoint... Sounds somewhat like the fastest but also the most risky way.
@Iron, will you make a poll on this or let us discuss it out? (I like voting.)
Yes, but hiking through the mountains hold its own brand of risks and rewards, the most obvious is that your are climbing a semi-dangerous Mountain range when inclement is approaching and making the slopes/trails even more trechouros to navigate. I'm personally all for donning our disguises and attempting to bluff our way past the checkpoint, or fight them if our cover is blown. The chance to know what the heck Almanac is doing with those Ruins is too great to pass up, and it would bring us all the closer to Stair City without making a half a week to a week worth detour.
He who dares, wins, sometimes!

Past though the Almacs is dangerous. What "if" they found us? They might try to silence us and use our Pokemon to... I don't even dare to think. Besides, the mountains might have some interesting Pokemon.

Hey, didn't you said you're in class, Windos? ^^
Anyway, yes, I would agree that the chance to see what The Almanac is doing there at the Ruins is quite a tempting thing, but we cannot know how strong they are (like, if it'd come to battles) and we'd need some gooood bluffing to get through them. We all hopefully still have these Scimitar-robes as disguises, do we? Heart has none, though. :/

Yeah. Hmm we could split in two groups. One can create a distraction to that Almacs when other attack from behind them. It's a bit coward but that work and weak their forces.

Nope, better not since our aim is to get past them and to Stair City fast, not deliberatly mess with them.

The Almanac doesn't dress like Scimitars, though. They dress like the Scientist trainer sprite.

Oh great, where do we get five lab coats from rather quickly?
... *stares at Professor Mallorn from the side* Does he have some spare ones on loan?

Well, their is that cloathing store that Iron mentioned earlier in the Route 4 Encounter/Shop List, so it possible for all of us to be outfitted in official/official looking Almanac Science Uniforms, if the store keep knew what they looked liked. Might cost us some Poke, but I think its worth it to get their fast, and snoop around a bit on their activities!
Oh, and class got out early, so I have a little time to post some!
