RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 10-11-2020 .....Intriguing and fun enough spin on a form of random Loot drop, mate, though the fact that its essentially a gacha mechanic means that inevitably some Poke we put into opening Treasure Boxes will go bust. Still, it's a way to potentially get sweet items without having to worrying about justifying it too much storywise, so I'm willing to indulge opening a Box more often than not. I do wonder how much they're worth if you try to sell them to the Kecks or wholesaling them to another team, though, as I distinctly recall that Treasure Boxes in EoT/D/S could be sold for a decent amount of Poke (I believe it was $500?) , so that should translate to your game in some fashion me thinks. Until we start ranking in the Poke, it probably be for the best to sell Boxes early on to build up resources for future expeditions or miscellaneous problems. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 10-11-2020 (10-11-2020, 05:06 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Excellent! The ribbons stay with ya. KK, Pyra will continue keeping them safe until they're sold! Agreed with you whole heartidly there, mate! Any form of buff is useful no matter what stage of the game we're in, but it'll be REALLY nice for anyone early on if they have weak constituion or muscle power! Hmm.....well, Devimps can learn Bulk Up via TM, but I'm not too sure if I want to grab it since Pyra hasn't yet found a way of paying back the group for keeping her $10000 Poke (Big Nugget) or the group hasn't yet earnt that much without her taking from it. Don't want to be unfair about this, you know? Be that as it may, however, I say that unless Bulk Up for Kogeki is a really high XP Move you're better off letting someone else learn it (After all, if you can achieve if through XP instead of using up a limit Item....). Though from glancing through Bulbapedia/Uranium Wiki, only Kogeki and Pyra can learn Bulk Up currently, unless Dax's Delta/Water Charmander can learn it for some reason or another. So....it really comes down to the two of us to decide what's going to be its fate since we're the only ones that can get any use out of it, unless Phantom and No One want to sell or trade it away for something else. RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Dragonstrike - 10-11-2020 (10-11-2020, 09:56 PM)Lord Windos Wrote: .....Intriguing and fun enough spin on a form of random Loot drop, mate, though the fact that its essentially a gacha mechanic means that inevitably some Poke we put into opening Treasure Boxes will go bust. Eh, it's the game you play with them no matter which version of PMD you're in that has Treasure Boxes. No telling what's inside until they're opened! At least you know you're going to get something useful/valuable from them if you do open them, though, and it's rare for the contents (of these ones, anyways) to not be worth the small amount of money put into them (as long as you don't get an Apple, Big Apple, Oran Berry, or Sitrus Berry, you've saved money!). Again, it's not viciously sucking your wallet dry like most gachas when you're trying to get something good. (though those rarer drops are definitely worth pursuing : D Don't worry, though, there'll be other ways to obtain those drops if you aren't lucky with the loot boxes/decide to sell them off.) Treasure boxes are definitely semi valuable selling items (being some of the better selling items in the series, in fact), but that's partially because the contents can easily be worth far more than the box itself (want to find out how much gold bars sell for? Just go ask Cofagrigus). Pretty easy to turn a profit if your luck is good. Given how the system works, I'll definitely make rarer treasure boxes sell for more in this case. They usually sell for 200-300 in the games. Yup yup, I totally agree with ya mate. Honestly I don't really have much to complain about them considering I actually play FGO , which is leagues worse when it comes to their take on gacha mechanics and GRINDING. The fact that whatever you pull from them will be useful in some way is infinitely better than the filler garbage I regularly get whenever I roll in FGO is one big reason why I like it beyond nostalgia and the inherent thrill of gacha gaching. Even if you get the low tier stuff that still serves a definite purpose, and its not like the MDs or Kecks will always have such provisions at hand for us to take, so yeah I'm fine with taking my chances with Treasure Boxes if we can afford to do so without kneecapping us in the short term! I ain't selling Gold Bars until I get a good look at what Cofagrigus is offering for them, and even if I don't find anything I like that doesn't mean the rest of our group will. All else fails they can be emergency funds sorta like what Pyra's Big Nugget is (currently), so they'll be plenty useful to me/everyone else as a whole! Ah, gatcha. If we want to be utterly frugal about things we could just sell Blue Boxes and keep the higher tier ones ourselves to maximize profits overall (B.B.s have a little over 1/3 chance of giving a 'bad' Item, which is not insignificant odds to gamble against), but then again.....the thrill of the gatcha is hard to resist indeed.... RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 10-12-2020 *Looking at D-Riolu TM and XP moves* Well, I need to correct something. D-Riolu only learn Bulk Up via TM methods, so yeah. Either Pyra or Kogeki can both benefit from that moves. And in terms of defensive boosts, it's for now the only since it can't learn Iron Defense. Sorry my mistake @Lord Windos RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Spiritmon - 10-12-2020 (10-11-2020, 07:29 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote:(10-11-2020, 07:27 PM)Spiritmon Wrote: Well, this system remind me to Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd who both use that Gacha system. In the case of Bulk Up, that TM was Rare or Common quality? And the game doesn't have a lot of bugs. I try to play Genshin Impact and only get disappointed for not able to play it Honkai is possible to play though

Sorry my mistake @Lord Windos Hmm...well, Pyra acts as a solid enough Defense Boost for the party via Intimidate, so don't feel as if you need a dedicated Defense Buff unless you want to not Level Up VIT. Thinking about it, I want Bulk Up now for Pyra, as I don't want to work on VIT and STR for her until she's Evolved and conserve XP for DEX, Channel, Brawl, Insight , Knowledge/Social Specialties , and Infernal Blade . By having it she has a means of artifically increasing her Stats whenever she needs too, so if its possible I'd like to get it. Only thing I have of value to trade for it would be the 2 Gold Bars she has, so I could give you one of them in exchange for it and help pay off her 'debt' to the group (based on how much more Poke its worth over Bulk Up) . Hows that grab ya, mate? Sorry my mistake @Lord Windos Seems fair to me! And since Bulk Up is a common TM, we might found another one in the future for Kogeki. I just hope we found another Bulk Up TM soon again. I accept the Gold bar you offer. I might make a post reacting to all this situation when got time. I'll get to typing Pyra's half of that deal soon enough, so hold on tight for it! Common TM or not another copy of Bulk Up will likely be hard to find or purchase, but here's hoping we'll get another copy sooner rather than later! RE: [Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows - Lord Windos - 10-16-2020 Wow! That's a lota great goodies from Cofagrigus! Also nice to see he'll offer duplicates of Items we find for the right price too! GOing to have to bookmark this page for future reference. Speaking of the duplication process, I'm willing to hand over Pyra's other Gold Bar to Kogeki so he can get a copy of Bulk Up himself if you wish, @Spiritmon . That, or get any goodies that cost 2 G.B. or less (Like that Dount!) . Could also save the Bars to get something more interesting, but that's up to you in the end mate! Onto other news, it seems that the rumor mill is starting to grind away at us. Perhaps we should spread some rumors about humans going away from the Sand Contenient to get the heat off us, or would that be too risky...? Also, likely to get into an *interesting* situation after that burly dude found out the haul she was carrying, so I gotta take some cautionary measures now..... |
