Slowing them down a bit would be fine though, like Selene already said somewhere. YES!! The new animated sprites need a couple of fixes. One is the speed; they seem to do fine in battle, but viewing them in the summary or in the Pokedex is like someone put them on hyperspeed! And the backsprites are too small (I actually lost sight of my Ludiculo behind Theo's Nucleon in the Snowbank Gym).

Always use Surf is very annoying ! It was a fan suggestion at a very late date that Twitch just thought was awesome. Never been much of a fan animated sprites myself, so I would like to see an option where they could be disabled as well. If not, it should not be hard for people to replace the new animated sprites with the old ones (assuming the devs didn't tie the new sprite to anything else, or that reverting the changes manually will not cause a crash). I replaced the animated sprites with static ones, and everything's fine for me. RE: This a room for random ideas. - Maks - 10-14-2016 How did you do that ?
RE: This a room for random ideas. - Lord Windos - 10-14-2016 I would like to know as well, @Harmony . I don't care for them that much, especially in battle. Slows down the pace of it a bit, which I do not like. RE: This a room for random ideas. - ScarletZephyr - 10-14-2016 @Iron I may be wrong, but I believe I was the fan who originally suggested the Assault Vest idea. I went by the name CrimsonTyphoon if anyone remembers. RE: This a room for random ideas. - EeveeBailey - 10-14-2016 Ditto on wanting to know how to replace the animated sprites, @Harmony! I think I have an idea how to do that, but... it won't mess with anything like updates, will it? Slows down the pace of it a bit, which I do not like. && @Maks @EeveeBailey I always keep backups of older patches, so I just took all the old sprites and dropped them into the battlers folder for the current version. Couldn't be any easier (except you need admin privileges on your computer). You'll need to do it again every time there's a new update, so I made myself a folder with all the custom sprites I use instead of the regular ones. Whenever the time comes, they're right there for me to copy over. I only had access to the sprites after installing the 1.0.8 update, and that already had the animated sprites in it.However, maybe I can copy the correlating sprites from Pokemon Insurgence (renaming them, of course, to match what they'd be called in Uranium). I honestly don't mind the animation, though, it's just that they're too fast in some places and the backsprites are too small. If that were fixed, I would be happy. RE: This a room for random ideas. - Lord Windos - 10-15-2016 I just wish their was an option to turn off moving sprites, since I like the non-animate ones better. Its not a gamebreaker, but I don't understand why they choose to work on moving sprites instead on the litany of bugs that is inherent of Uranium... |
