'This is probably a lot like Ventus' senses'... How clever, Iron. I thought Shiva would 'only' be able to understand what her own/otherwise familiar Pokemon are telling, but if you want to go that route instead – appreciated by both me and character~ Or is it only a one-time event? o.o
These particulars are because of Orthros' special ability, but as you level up Insight and Empathy there's no reason you shouldn't surpass Ventus at his own game if you choose to go that route.
Cool. Guess I should level-up Empathy-Speciality once or twice, I enjoy how this influences interactions and rping-scenes.

Of course it wouldn't be exactly the same, dear! Ventus still has the background and this trait since childhood.
In Shiva's case for example, it could be said that she somewhat honed this skill by dealing with Psychic and Fairy Type a lot as well as a closure to nature (2 points in Nature so far, will be leveled-up as well as I need this Speciality in several of my Accuracy Rolls), as well as maybe having a natural predisposition somewhere deep that she was not aware of before.

Send to some especialist to take care of her. Or kill her to not cause problems. Now imagined a viper who can travel not only in real world, but in the dream world. A creature who can kill you even if you are sleeping. That doenst fritght you? I can undestand why Ventus do what was necessary to protect what his care: His friends and the other people of the town. Even Heart agree with Ventus in the case about Tangrowths. Heart dont like kill pokemon, or any living thing, but if something is dangerous to people, is better stay away or dead. He is a Pokemon Rare Collector, but not a reckless one.
It's only dangerous in the case of these Houndour if you give it reason to be. Yes, it's definitely scary, but Nathan refuses to be ruled by fear when it comes to pokemon.
And as Windos just mentioned, yes, Nathan could say to try giving that viper a chance (a pokemon is still a pokemon after all, no matter how strong or scary). However...
In the event that there's a very, very clear threat, either from a statement made or from Lethal damage actually being inflicted, Nathan's not so forgiving. He doesn't draw the line at assumed intent, he draws it at an individual's clear intent.
Pokemon that inflict Burn and Poison are generally a bit more of a grey area due to the nature of those statuses, though.

Hmmm...interesting...so Kyuu is actually somewhat getting along with Orthros...

Well we can agree now that meet is quite a mind blow isn't?
Get it? Mind blow?

Let's save those bad jokes for the UB that has its entire concept based on that, going so far as to having a signature move named exactly that.

Good for future tolerance and happy relations with Orthros, bad for Ventus' continued unilateral hatred for the dog, so all in all everything is working out well for you thus far. Kinda find it hard to believe that Orthros would pull it away and have a friendly chase or for Kyu to allow such a thing to happen in the first place, but hey, Iron is in control of that reaction ultimately, so if that is the way he handled things, I have no qualms with it!

Happy relations between the Espurr and Orthros, Windos. If her Pokemon does get along with that dog, this is fine for Shiva - however, it won't cause her to be happy with the dog on the same level. She'll still prefer her distance etc., but it'd be rude to request the same from Kyuu in this case, if he really feels okay. Thus asking him directly...

Kyuu is happy to have someone who understands the Dream World and can also go there.
