Greetings to whomever is running the show now, and/or whomever is running the help desk.
My name is Keybrdkid09, or Key for short.
I am trying to update my game to at least 1.0.3 specs so I can help facilitate the Tandor Casual League again.
However, I noticed a few things since the last time I tried to patch that have caused me some issues perhaps someone else has had and can possibly direct me to the right way to get my game running perfectly without having to start a new game. My goal is to keep my Gym pokemon, but I would also like to keep my entire previous save in tact as well.
So here are the issues I'm having.
First, I have been operating under the assumption that when 1.0.1 first came out waaaaay back in the day, that I was among the first group to patch before the version crashed. I may have been operating under that wrong assumption that my game successfully patched since then. With all the confusion about who was in charge, nintendo, and the forum crash/discord, something may have gotten lost in translation on my end.
After trying to update to 1.0.3 with uranium.rar and neoncube.ini and failing to be able to update-I eventually found the 'check for updates' button in-game. It said that my current version is 1.0.0. It also said that it could not check for updates, and to check my internet connection.
I began to suspect at this point that I missed something. And to note: I originally had my entire uranium game installed on a Mybook I:/ external drive. I noticed that the 1.0.3 patcher asks to install the files (including Uranium Patch Installer) in programsx86.
This I did, and when I ran the patcher from within programfiles.86x, I did see a new note that described 1.0.3. But when I run the game through programfiles.x86, it still lists me as having 1.0.0 and to check my internet connection-which should be working fine.
But here's what I've tried so far.
1. download uranium.rar. put in programfiles.x86
2. download neoncube.ini. put in programfiles.x86
3. run patcher. it says no new updates.
4. check for updates in-game. it says "current version 1.0.0. unable to fetch updates from server. check your internet connection!'"
5. tried to drop the same two files onto my uranium folder in my I:/ external drive. In that case it said this when I tried to run the patcher: "failed to get / patches list.html."
6. When I tried to lauch the game from within my I:/ drive, and then check for updates, the game did launch. But it gave me the same "current version 1.0.0. unable to fetch updates from server. check your internet connection!" message.
7. ?
------
Any ideas anyone? The game will still launch from both locations. But as for patching myself into 1.0.3, I seem to be stuck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
