I quite like the idea of Reiner wearing that Arbok skin as armor Tongue Totally suits his style. And having only 2 weaknesses due to the artificial type change is a pretty dang good trade-off I feel, particularly when one of them is completely nullified half the time.

Of course, that does nothing to help him if the opponent uses EQ, Bulldoze, or Magnitude and hits all of his pokemon and him...but 2 more defense in exchange for that guaranteed 1 damage? Yeah, another good trade-off, I feel. Every little bit of chipping away at a move's damage potential helps, after all.

Hmmm...while I like the Mina cameo, there's ONE potential issue with it...if this campaign happens before Gen 1, then that means Mina is only 9 at most (according to Bulbapedia, she's anywhere from 11-19 years old in Sun and Moon, which take place 10 years after Gen 1).

Unless you thought of that already? This could still work, after all. It'd be a VERY good explanation for why Archie thought her talent was natural as opposed to practiced, after all...

I thought it would be a great alternate use of Shed Skin, so I implemented this use of them in the game! However, you might attract odd or hostile attention for wearing it, if they don't know exactly where it came from. While Kanto is not nearly as protective and sensitive over Pokémon as Cheshire (Industrial and Livestock Pokémon Applications are welcome!), there are still some Pokémon Rights Extremist and nutter out their, so beware!

OHKO and Explosive damage is still a buggerance to you, though, and Fissure is particularly deadly if someone uses it on or near you, so also beware...

The Mina mention in the Ledger is indeed the same, and since I didn't know her age before including her (Blast it!), this timeline she's just 24 years old! Never said I would not play fast and loose with cannon, which would be ridiculous consider the premise of the campaign....

Eh.  He has an arbok with Shed Skin, so he can explain it away if anybody asks, and provide proof of it fairly easily too.

Fissure doesn't really care about Types aside from Flying (and pokemon with Sturdy) anyways, so that shouldn't really be an issue in the long run as long as we stick with the game mechanics on that.

Fair point.

Though this is an excellent example of why fact checking is important in these kinds of games Tongue

Even so, if you ever heard the stories told of PETA and other extremist in the world, you know how out of hand things can get... Well put on OHKO moves, but I'll make your Knock Out/Death by Fissure especially detailed due to being 'Weak' to it. If you ever run across a user of it, that is!

Considering Giovanni basically invented the TMs for Fissure and EQ during his time as a gym leader, let's just hope I never come to blows with him, then.  We (almost) saw first hand just how dangerous a fast and (supposed to be) accurate Rhydon/Rhyperior/Rhyxemplar can be, after all...which is exactly why I designed that Rhydon like I did.  OHKO moves are dangerous tools in the right hands...
