Maybe.  Though I wouldn't recommend trying to read Reiner's either.  Or Mew's.  We both saw how well THAT went for Angelica and Chansey...

Its a two way denial in Arial's mental fortitude: Nothing can read his mind or emotions, but he's unable to do the same with others, even with a Psychic Pokémon helping out (Which they couldn't do, due to Arial's afformentioned Mental Fortitude). His immunity goes for and against him, basically!

Just for your reference then, since Arial was present to see what happened to Angelica at that time, her Chansey tried to read Reiner's intentions with her empathy, and it backfired horribly for her and Angelica since Reiner has mental defenses akin to those of Mew's.  Upon failing to read his mind, they both ended up essentially becoming 100% loyal servants to him (which is why we're talking to Officer Angelica in the next scene once we jump back to the present time).

So yeah...Reiner's a pretty scary and powerful guy, no?

Well, that kinda depends. Kingdra is already Fully Healed by now, so Arial is the only person that needs to get patched up. Due to the severity of both his and Sekmet's injuries, he has to stay at the Pokémon Center for an extended period of time if he want to be fully healed (One Encounter Slot for him). If you delay anymore right now, there is always the chance the couple gets away with Joey, and does who knows what else to the Police Officers...

Or you can use your limited Healing Supplies on him and Xenoqueen to patch them up right away, but you'll be without a Max Revive and at least 1-2 Potion items at least. Pick your poison, mate!
